Hemaloto, Tauivi Usaia "Bubba" Tauivi "Bubba" Usaia Hemaloto blessed our family with his presence here on earth on July 17, 2002, in American Fork, Utah. His short but meaningful mission on earth was to teach charity. Although his life was filled with pain and suffering, he would never complain, but would endure with love and patience. He, in turn, received love, lots of love. All he knew in this life was love as he embodied love, pure love. Some of the earthly pleasures he enjoyed were music, being cuddled, being outdoors on beautiful days, chocolate, the beaches in Samoa; and, most especially, being in the arms of his mother. He was a great teacher as he taught his family and others to live better lives, to have charity in their hearts, and to serve others. He also taught his mother and father and those closest to him how to understand many wonderful gospel truths. Tauivi's spirit and body separated on March 31, 2005. His spirit departed while his little body was in the arms of his mother and father, and oldest brother, Ezekiel, who love and adore him. At the time, he was also surrounded by many who were touched by his life and who also love him tremendously. Tauivi completed his earthly mission with honor and is received into Heavenly Father's presence by many loved ones who have gone on before; in particular, his grandmother, Sylvia Lei Tuinei, who departed this earthly existence one week prior to Tauivi. His family left here on earth who will honor his life by living more righteous lives are his parents, Sefo Hemaloto and Ipo Tuinei; sister, Hueina; brothers, Ezekiel and Sefo si'i; grandparents, Elder and Sister Tauivi and Diana Tuinei, Ionita and Talika Kalamafoni, Viliami and Vai Hemaloto; great-grandmother, Lilevai Tua'one; aunts: Camilla, Mary Jo, Lisa May, Sandra Lei, Mitzi, Kalisi, Teuila, Kim; uncles: Charlie, Tommy, Inoke, David, Joseph, Ben, Spencer, Tama; and 28 cousins. Our hearts are filled with pain as we let go of our little Bubba, but rejoice in Christ who gives us the comfort and understanding that we will be with Tauivi once again. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at 2 p.m., at the Canyon View Chapel, 762 East 1200 North in Orem. Sorenson, Daniel Robert 1983 ~ 2005 Daniel Robert Sorenson, age 22, our beloved son and brother, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. The smiles he brought to our hearts are dimmed as we contemplate life without him. He impacted the lives of so many, especially his family members and friends who stood by him through his battle against cancer. A fighter for the underdog, Danny was known as the "gentle giant", especially among little children. His easy-going outlook on life and his lack of complaint for his lot in life, made him a pleasure to be around and easy to serve. It just seemed like you didn't have any problems when you were with Danny. He took life all in and enjoyed every ounce of it, no matter where, no matter when, and no matter how ill he was. He inspired all of us to follow our Heavenly Father's plan. Danny uplifted his family and friends, when the going got tough, more than we were able to uplift him. How he will be missed! Danny is survived by his father, Robert; mother, Heidi Zurcher Sorenson; a sister, Heather Anderson; a brother-in-law, Jake Anderson (Lindon); two brothers, Ryan and Jon; and both sets of grandparents: David and LeeAnn Sorenson (Logan); also, Hans and Hanna Zurcher (Smithfield). Danny was born March 3, 1983, in Logan, Utah. He moved with the family to Boise, Idaho; later to Portland, Oregon; and has lived in Alpine for the last 11 years of his life. He attended Alpine Elementary, Mt Ridge Junior High, and Lone Peak High schools. He played in the band in junior high and high school. Our family band will miss our tuba player. Danny loved computers and all sports, but especially, basketball. It was his dream to play professionally. He also enjoyed snowboarding, rollerblading, and wake boarding. He was an Eagle Scout and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as a clerk in his ward at the time of his death. He worked in between his cancer treatments, delivering Domino's pizza from Highland, Utah, in his beloved silver Volkswagen Bug. We would like to express our gratitude to all of our wonderful friends, neighbors, and relatives who have taken time to provide service and support to our family over the past several years, as well as kept Danny and his family in their prayers. To all the physicians, physicians assistants, nurses, and medical staff that have assisted us and attended to Danny's needs, thank you for your time, expertise, and effort. You have all shown us what true charity is and you have never failed us. Funeral services for Daniel will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 10 a.m., in the Alpine LDS Stake Center, 98 East Canyon Crest Road, Alpine Utah. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, (located four blocks north of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple), American Fork, Utah.
