She was born March 27, 1922 in American Fork, Utah to Denzil Austin Brown and Ina Vilate Chipman Brown. She was the eldest of two daughters. She attended Brigham Young Academy and Brigham Young University. She married her BYU sweetheart, J. Fred Ahlander on December 19, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. A daughter Julie and her husband Fred preceded her in death. They raised five children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elaine and Fred served an LDS mission in England in 1988. Elaine has always served faithfully in the Church and in the community. She loved music and shared her talents with Church and community groups. She will be missed dearly by many friends who will remember her for her kindness, compassion, and generous spirit. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and friends at Summerfield Assisted Living Center for their loving kindness. She is survived by her sister, Lavon B. Brewer (Charles-Phoenix, AZ); children: James F. Ahlander (Queen Creek, AZ), David B. Ahlander (Los Angeles, CA), Michael B. Ahlander (Becky-Orem, UT), Ann A. Tucker (Michael-Orem, UT), and Stephen B. Ahlander (Leslee-Lindon, UT); nineteen Grandchildren and nineteen Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Hills 6th Ward Chapel, 1900 N. 1500 E., Provo, UT. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street, and Monday morning at the church from 9:30-10:45. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Greenwood, Roger Earl Roger Earl Greenwood "Together Again" Beloved husband, father and grandpa passed away April 7, 2005. Born Jan 8, 1926 in American Fork, UT to Samuel Earl and Jane Leah Robinson Greenwood. Married Joyce Adamson June 1, 1946 in Alpine, sealed in SL Temple June 18, 1947 for time and all eternity. He loved his family, was very knowledgeable, and taught history and geography for 30 years at Alpine School Dist. He was an avid golfer, liked to travel and square dance. Survived by two sons, Brian (Debbie) Greenwood, Denver, Colorado, Dayle (Bonnie) Greenwood, S. Jordan and 5 grandchildren and will be dearly missed. Viewing Mon.
