Perry, Juanita Jensen Juanita Jensen Perry Juanita Jensen Perry died April 6, 2005, of natural causes, in her home. She was born to Joseph David Jensen and Luella Higginson on June 29, 1924. She was the second of three children. Juanita was described as a serious and well disciplined child. Her father died when she was 12, and her mother struggled to raise the family. Juanita gave a generous portion of all she earned to help her mother during those young adult years. She managed to attend some college at Utah State, before WWII interrupted her studies. She got a job at Hill Air Field and later transferred to Hickam AF Base in Hawaii. She loved Hawaii; and while there, a self-described Idaho farm boy, Clayton J. Perry, managed to convince her to marry him, in 1946, at the LDS Honolulu Hawaii Temple. Over the length of their marriage, they lived in Honolulu HI, Seattle WA, Jacksonville FL, and Provo UT. Juanita raised 10 children - three daughters and seven sons. She and Clayton were especially proud that each of their sons obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and seven children served full-time missions. During her life, Juanita spent years of service dedicated to her neighbors, church, and family. Many times, a well made meal that made the mouths of her children water, was given to a needing neighbor. She made her best quilts and foods for the building fund of the Jacksonville FL Stake. She cared for both her mother and sister-in-law during their last years, until their deaths. She nursed her oldest daughter through several bouts of cancer. Juanita and Clayton fulfilled their lifelong dream of serving an LDS mission in the Provo UT mission. Juanita has the legacy of 10 children, 32 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Maureen J Bickmore; and by her 10 children: April L Raber, Eileen Lambert, Patrick G Perry, D Michael Perry, Mark J Perry, John Scott Perry, Paul S. Perry, Christian D Perry, Tauna K Hill, and Lon J Perry. Funeral services will be Monday, April 11, 2005, 10 a.m., at the Sharon East Stake Center, 2400 N 1060 East, Provo, UT. No public viewing. Interment will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills of Provo, UT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the missionary fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
