Born August 9, 1957 in Mesa, AZ, to Irving J and Ethlyn Andersen Ray, she was the sixth of ten children. She married her eternal sweetheart E. Jeffrey Hill on May 5, 1976 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Their posterity presently includes 3 sons, 6 daughters, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and one more on the way. Juanita will be remembered for her genuine virtue, unpretentious example, love of children, willingness to work, diligence, and devotion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Juanita chose to dedicate her time, energy, and talents to her family in the home. She was a world-class homemaker. She enjoyed athletics, reading, walking, a clean house, ice cream, spontaneity, and kissing her husband in elevators. Juanita was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every day of her life. She had a strong testimony of the restored Gospel and served enthusiastically in the leadership of every auxiliary. Her favorite calling was Primary chorister. Juanita was welcomed with open arms into the Spirit World by her father Irving J Ray, her daughter Heidi Ethlyn Hill, and the Savior Jesus Christ. She will ever be remembered and cherished on earth by her mother Ethlyn Andersen Ray, Mesa, AZ; her husband E. Jeffrey Hill; her children: Sarah (Joel) Allred, Seattle, WA; Jeffrey (Jennifer), Provo, UT; Aaron, Abigail, Hannah, Emily, Amanda, and Seth; and her grandchildren Jeffrey Jr., Jonathan, and Eva (Allred); her siblings: Kenneth (Christine), Mesa, AZ; Melvin (Sonya) and Cynthia (Dale) Flake, Vernal, UT; Mynoa (Alan) Williams, Castle Valley, UT; Marlene (Gary) Hinton, Ilene, and Ruth Ann (Mike) Petramalo, Mesa, AZ; Jenise (Bill) Zundel, Ogden, UT; Christine (Michael) Hitchcock, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services will be held in the Canyon View Stake Center 575 E. 800 N.Orem, UT: Monday, April 25, 2005 at 11:00 am with a viewing at 9:30 am. Interment is in the Orem, UT, City Cemetery, 1550 N. 800 E., following the funeral. Lavoie, Patricia Ellen Curran Patricia Ellen Curran Carr Lavoie 1932~2005 "We Love You" Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Pat Lavoie, passed away April 19, 2005 in Orem, Utah at the home of her daughter Sharon. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota, the youngest of three daughters to Daniel Timothy Curran and Inez Isabelle Gish. She married her first husband, William Ralph Carr March 30, 1956. Together they had 4 children Catherine Inez Dent (Bradley), James Arthur Carr (Debbie), Sharon Lynn Pau'u-Fonohema and William Robert Carr. After Bill's death, she later married Ernest Roger Lavoie August 9, 1975. They had one son, Russell Ernest Lavoie, and later divorced. She is preceded in death by both parents, her stepfather, Harold Arthur McWade, and her first husband Bill. She is survived by all her children, her nine grandchildren, and her two sisters Colleen Anderson & Mary Kneisley-Burston. Mom enjoyed work and her last job was with UDOT in Provo until early retirement due to ill health in 2000. Later that year, she was able to fulfill a life long dream when called to serve in the Indianapolis, Indiana Mission from 2000 - 2001. She went despite serious health problems and her life was extended beyond our expectations. Our time with her has given us memories for eternity and she will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 25, 2005 at 11 am in the LDS Orchard Ward Chapel, 828 S Locust Ave, Pleasant Grove, UT. Viewings for friends and family will be Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork, and 45 minutes prior to services at the church. Underwood, Bradley Young Bradley Young Underwood Our dear husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Brad, departed this life on April 19, 2005. He died while canyoneering near Escalante, Utah Brad was born on October 15, 1980 in Burbank, CA to Dean and Cheryl Underwood. He lived in Southern California, Ft. Worth, TX, Des Moines, IA, Rochester MN, and Tucson, AZ before attending college at Brigham Young University. He also lived in Asuncion, Paraguay for two years where he served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. Brad was very well-rounded and always put 110% into everything he did. He loved rock climbing, canyoneering and back country skiing. He was an avid cyclist and marathon runner. His skills ranged form laying tile to making gourmet food. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and at the time of his death, he was one week away from graduating from BYU with a bachelors degree in Physics. Brad was very patriotic and was a dedicated cadet in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. He married his eternal sweetheart, Roxanne, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 11, 2004. He loved her dearly and expressed his love every single day in word and in deed. We will miss his quick wit and will never forget his example of dedication and faithfulness. Brad was very humble and unassuming, and yet he was always willing to share his knowledge and skills to help others. He truly exemplified the motto "Service Before Self". He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Shearer Underwood. his parents Dean and Cheryl Underwood , grandparents, Bill and Betty Underwood, Buck and Laura Belle Young, Siblings: Eliza (Michael) Hoffman, Emily, Nicholas and Nathan Underwood. In- laws Robert and Barbara Shearer. Brad's family wishes to publicly thank all those that worked so diligently in the search and rescue effort. They did everything humanly possible and heroically entered an extremely dangerous canyon to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. Funeral services will be Held Monday April 25, 2005 at 11:00a.m. at the Bonneville Stake Center, 85 South 900 East Provo, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, as well as Monday morning at theStake Centerfrom 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
