Harold J. Boyack Our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday morning, April 28, 2005 of causes incident to his age at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He was 97 years old. Harold Joshua Boyack was born October 27, 1907 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Robert Matthew Boyack and Lillian Christena Brockbank Boyack. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters, three brothers, and his parents. One of his siblings survives, Zoe Boyack Jorgensen. Harold married Dona Evans on August 3, 1932 in the Logan Temple. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from BYU in 1930 and later earned a Master's degree from the University of Denver. He spent the entirety of his professional career in the Provo School District, finally as an Assistant Superintendent. He was active in the Provo Lions club for many years and served a term as President as well as in many other offices. He loved golf. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. He was still serving as a home teacher in his 97th year. Harold will be remembered as a kind and gentle man. He was generous to his family with his worldly means and was a generous benefactor of the Marriott School of Business at the BYU. He is survived by his two sons, Paul of Santaquin, and Brent of Los Alamos, New Mexico. He also leaves seven grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren who will cherish and honor his memory. Services will be held at the Oak Hills Stake Center, 925 E. North Temple, Provo, at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 2, 2005. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center St., Provo, Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the Oak Hills Chapel prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund. Greenhalgh, Francis Blaine Francis Blaine Greenhalgh 1918-2005 With the greatest sorrow, the Greenhalgh family announces the death of their beloved father, brother and friend, F. Blaine Greenhalgh who returned to his Heavenly Father and re-united with his beloved wife on April 24, 2005. His death was the result of a household accident. He was born on Sept 20, 1918 in Santaquin, to Albert & Nettie Chloe Tietjen Greenhalgh. Blaine "Bud" was the 7th child and 4th son of 12 children. He attended Utah State, and later transferred to BYU where he received his bachelors degree in Geology. At both Universities, he played lead trumpet for the concert and marching bands. In 1963, he returned to school to get his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from BYU after fathering 7 of his 10 children. On May 30, 1942 he married his wife, Nina C. Hesselgesser, and enjoyed 59 years and eleven months together before she preceded him in death in April 2002. Blaine served in the U.S. Army from Aug 1942 until Sept 1945. After working for U.S. Steel's Geneva Works in Orem, for 16 years, Blaine moved his family to California; first to Trona with American Potash, then to Newhall where he worked for Disney, and Bechtel Corps.. In 1970, Blaine moved his family to Tucson, where he worked for Kennecott's Bear Creek Mining Co, until his retirement. After retiring, he worked as an independent consultant for several years. He and his wife served four missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His faithful life-long service to his family, friends, and Church, will be his legacy. He is survived by nine of his ten children, 28 of his 29 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and eight of his ten siblings, plus many nieces and nephews. Blaine enjoyed singing, dancing, photography, traveling and playing his trumpet. He will be missed by many, and his family is very grateful for the time we had to enjoy him during his 86 years on this earth. Services will be Sat, April 30th at the LDS Chapel, 2002 North Greasewood, Tucson. Viewing at 9 am, funeral at 10:30 am, and internment services to follow at Evergreen Mortuary. Published in the Daily Herald from 4/29/2005 - 4/30/2005. Vogel, Arnold Albert Arnold Albert Vogel 1906-2005 Arnold Albert Vogel, age 98, passed away on April 28, 2005 in Salt Lake City. Born to Eberhard H. and Minnie L. Vogel on September 20, 1906. He married Lula May Freeman. Arnold spent his adult life in Southern California and for the last 18 years lived with his son Rod and daughter-in-law Pauline Vogel. He is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his generosity. He shared his meager resources freely with family and friends. He loved his family unconditionally. "It takes a tough guy to live to be 98 years old." Our family would like to thank Gayle Patterson of IHC home health care and Dr. Mark Rada for their compassionate service and neighbors Glen and Linda Reich for Christian service above and beyond the call. Funeral services will be Monday, May 2 at 12:00 at the East Mill Creek 16th Ward chapel at 3408 South Celeste Way, Salt Lake City, 84109. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests a children's book that will be donated to the Primary Children's Hospital. Published in the Daily Herald from 4/30/2005 - 5/1/2005. Wright, Robert O. Robert O. Wright 1927-2005 Bob Wright passed away on April 9, 2005 with his wife Jane near by. At age 78, a sudden heart attack took him while wintering in Yuma, AZ. Bob was born in Riverside, CA. He loved music, sports and books all of his life. He always had a warm friendly smile and handshake for everyone and loved to visit. Bob loved and served his country for many years in the Merchant Marine, Air Force, and later as a civilian employed by the Navy. He served in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam Wars. The latter part of his Air Force career, from which he retired, was spent in Wash. DC at the Pentagon. Bob is survived by his wife Jane, sons Tony and Steve Wright and daughters Nancy and Christine Wright, and grandchildren.
