She was born on April 16, 1962 in Inglewood, CA to Walter E. and Darlene E. Schenk (Hansen). She spent most of her life in Orange County, CA area before moving to Utah in 1994. She married Gary Ren Atwood on Sept. 6, 1997 in Springville, UT. They met while working at Stauffer s. She is survived by her husband, Gary R. Atwood, and one daughter; Lake Altabear Atwood. Siblings; Stanford P. Hansen, Concord, CA, Shauna Hyatt, Lovettsville, VA, Gwendolyn Hansen, Sacramento, CA, Sandra Schenk Bell, Orlando, FL and John D. Hansen, Greenville, S.C. Her step-father, B. Dale Hansen of St. George. 13 nieces and nephews. Aunts and Uncles, Lawrence A. Williams, Rancho Pales Verdes, CA, Margaret Schenk and Patrick Schenk, Evansville, IN. Two cousins, Nora and Monica Williams, CA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene (2004), her father, Walter (2003) her brother, Stephen Schenk (1994), her grandmother, Cecelia Williams (2004) and her sister, Michelle Hansen (1972). Sharon s first love was her family followed closely by her love for self-improvement. She was currently attending Provo College earning her medical assisting degree and had a 4.0 GPA. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved Utah and attended BYU. She worked at Stauffer's in Springville and McDonald's in Payson. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spring Lake 1st Ward Chapel, 12625 South Spring Lake Road in Payson. Friends and family may visit at the church Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. He was born November 7, 1947 in American Fork to Leo L. Johnson and Elva Jeffs Johnson (both deceased). Survived by 2 daughters Debbie Ward of Springville, Beverly Johnson of Colby, Kansas; 2 sons Matt Johnson, Jessie Johnson of Salt Lake; 2 brothers Jerry L. (Gay) Johnson of Provo, Larry Johnson (Kerri) of Sandy; 2 sisters Donna (Neill) Bullock of Orem, Carol (Bennie) Riches of Orem and many grandchildren. Lewellyn, Elaine 1933~2005 Elaine Fowkes Lewellyn, beloved mother and grandmother, died Monday August 1, 2005 at the Central Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born June 30, 1933 in Nephi, Utah to Louise Broadhead and Thomas Gerald Fowkes. She married John Carl Lewellyn July 20, 1951 in the Manti Temple. He died October 19, 1983. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served many years as secretary of the Sunday School and as the ward Single Adult representative. She worked for many years at the First Security Bank in Nephi. She loved traveling and being with her friends and family, especially, her grandchildren and great grand-children. She is survived by her children Colleen (Marlin) Yates, St. George, UT; Cathy (Brent) Andersen, Santa Clara, UT; Carl (Diane) Lewellyn, Nephi, UT, Eleven grandchildren and 17 great grand-children, brothers and sisters; Hal Fowkes, Magna, UT; ReNee Belliston, Orem UT; Sharon (Lynn) Balle, Taylorsville, UT; Lee (Jean) Fowkes, Nephi, UT; Don (Charlyce) Fowkes, Las Vegas, NV. She was loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2005 in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 N. 400 E. Manookin, Camilla Hunsaker Camilla Hunsaker Manookin was born on April 30, 1945 in Ontario, Oregon to Otto Leo Hunsaker and Cressa Cluff Hunsaker. Camilla is the youngest of six children. She spent many of her childhood years living in Panama, Peru and Costa Rica while her father worked on the Panama Canal and other construction projects. At the time of her death, July 29, 2005, she was living in Caldwell, Idaho, and working as a teacher's aid in special education. She was always excited to share the triumphs and trials of her students with family and friends. When not at school, Camilla enjoyed music, gardening, reading, sewing, scrap booking and spending time in the mountains. Most of all, she was happy when she was serving others. She loved serving in the church, at the library and any other opportunity she had to help someone in need. She served an LDS mission in Albuquerque, New Mexico from May 2000 December 2001, where she fell in love with the Navajo people. She looked forward to serving another mission in the years to come. We will miss her beautiful smile, her homemade bread, shopping trips, drives up the canyon, her love of kitties and bunnies, her love of the gospel and even her endearing idiosyncrasies! Camilla has now been reunited with her parents and is survived by her daughter Adana, son Daniel (Jane), and siblings, Myla Dennett, Susie (Jake) Bennett, Quinten (Shirley) Hunsaker, Sandra (Ed) Homan and Marsha (Lee) Black. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the LDS chapel on 1700 West and 700 South in Lehi, UT. Peterson, Ruth Giddings Clark Ruth Giddings Clark Peterson, 90, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2005, in American Fork, Utah, surrounded by caring family. She was born on February 8, 1915, in American Fork, Utah, the eldest of six children, to Luther Edwin Giddings and Berneice Crandall. She married John William Clark in 1935, and they had four children. She later married Henry "Hank" Edgar Peterson in 1967. She spent her childhood in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High School in 1932. She attended BYU working toward a nursing degree when a move to Logan became necessary for her husband to finish his masters degree. After Logan, she lived in Arizona for several years working as an assistant farm manager. She later lived in Meridian, California, where she worked with delinquent youth in the school district. She throughly loved this work of inspiring and helping teens improve their lives. She later lived in Midway, Utah, and then settled in Orem, Utah, for the last 15 years. Ruth will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, unselfish and caring person. She was determined, optimistic, spunky, always ready with a hug or a listening ear, and willing to fight for a good cause. Throughout the years she actively campaigned for the under-dog, looked out for those who needed help, made countless quilts for family and humanitarian relief, and tirelessly worked to make a difference! She was a member of the Sheriff s Youth Posse and on the Board of Directors for the Orem Senior Center. She loved horseback riding and hiking in the mountains in her earlier years, gardening and growing flowers, dancing, quilting, reading and traveling. She especially loved being a grandma and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. Not only did she love others, but she felt loved and had a personal testimony of Heavenly Father s love for her. She considered herself to be "the luckiest woman in the world," and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by four children: DeLene (Jay) Holbrook of Provo, UT; Dr. Lee (Sandy) Clark of Safford, AZ; Lynn (Kathy) Clark of Lehi, UT; David (April) Clark of Flower Mound, TX; foster son, Don Henderson of Orland, CA; step-son, Robert Peterson of Mendon, UT; step-son, John Peterson of Lewiston, ID; step-daughter, Judy Houston of St. George, UT; 33 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and many grandchildren by marriage ¥ as she counted them all! Her surviving siblings are Dr. C. Bland "Bud" Giddings of Mesa, AZ; Irene G. Thomson of Provo, UT; and Dr. Luther E. Giddings of Salt Lake City, UT; a special friend, Vern Carter, of Tabiona, UT; and other friends too numerous to count. She is preceded in death by her husbands and her brothers, Lee C. Giddings and Dr. J. Calvin Giddings. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, at the mortuary, and, at the same location from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. before the services on Friday. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery. The family appreciates Ruth s many friends and caregivers; especially Lori Luke, her Hearts for Hospice nurse.
