He was born June 9, 1948, a son of Sherman Hardy and Layne Lucille Hubbard Dangerfield in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Lynell Clarice Holman on June 5, 1971, in the Oakland, California LDS Temple. Sherman loved BYU ball games. He had a love of reading and writing. He served an LDS mission in the California North Mission from 1967-1969. Sherman was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints his entire life. His bright outlook on life and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his grandchildren who loved sitting on grandpas lap. His humorous talent for writing will be cherished forever. We love you dad, thank you for never giving up. -You Are Unbelievable-. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. in the Suncrest Stake Center, 90 North 600 West in Orem. Edwards, Ray Gurr Ray Gurr Edwards beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother returned to his heavenly home on Saturday August 27, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 18, 1938 in Orem, Utah, Ray was the 13th child of Philo T. and Addie May Edwards. He was sealed to his high school sweetheart, LaDeane Andrew, on February 24, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple. Ray is survived by his wife of Provo; and six children: Michael (Lori) of South Jordan; Rachelle Hulse (Troy), Pleasant Grove;Matthew (Marcee), St. George; Alyssa Flinders (Tracy), Pleasant Grove; Joyce Terry (Lance), Olympia WA; and Mark, Provo; twenty grandchildren, six sisters and four brothers: Ruby Cameron, Orem; Melba Carter, Orem; LaMar (Shirley) Edwards, Provo;Norma (Archie) Brady, Vineyard; Alene (Joe) Felix, Cedar City; LaVell (Patti) Edwards, Provo; Lewis (Dorothy) Edwards, Cedar Hills; Wayne (Margene) Edwards, Hurricane;Colleen (Bob) Healey, Orem; Shirley (Eugene) Maag, Lindon, many loved nieces andnephews. Ray was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Don and Max; and sister,Janice Warnick. Ray was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was known for his positive attitude and unique ability to see the good in others. After servingin the West Spanish American Mission, he graduated from Brigham Young University. It may be said that there will never be a greater fan of BYU football than Ray. He livedlife to its fullest, with a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious smile that upliftedeveryone around him. He was a fun-loving and supportive grandfather. The familyextends sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Provo Regional Medical Center and LDS Hospital for their loving care and professionalism. Goldsberry, Erik Allen Erik Allen Goldsberry Erik Allen Goldsberry returned home to his Heavenly Father and sweetheart, Debbie, on August 27, 2005 at the age of 50. He was born on August 4, 1955 in Fort Lewis, Washington to Carol and Richard Goldsberry. He grew up in Idaho, Washington, and California. He served a mission in Pennsylvania. On September 13, 1986 he married the love of his life, Debra Kay Adams, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Two years later they had a choice baby boy, Clark Adam. Debbie passed away in 1991, after a valiant fight with cancer. Erik took pride in his work at the Utah State Hospital for over 20 years and was loved and appreciated by all there. Erik was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his son Clark, playing chess, reading and writing poetry, woodworking, and inventing. He had an amusing, witty sense of humor that was enjoyed by all. Erik valued time with family and had such a caring, generous spirit. He will be sorely missed by many friends and family members. He is survived by his son Clark Adam Goldsberry, 18, Provo, his mother Carol, and his brothers Rick (Diane), Greg, Mark (Joy), Brian (Cristy), and Jason. He was preceded in death by his father Richard. Erik, we love your kind and gentle nature. Remembering you will carry us through. Passed away at the home of his daughter in Murray. Dad served in the Navy during World War II. He married his sweetheart Gwen Ackerman Gough, Sept. 24, 1943; later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Sept 7, 1979. Survived by his daughter, Sherry (Tom) Carlson of Bountiful; son, Blaine (Lynda) Gough of Draper; son, Brian (Terri) Gough of Selma, Oregon; daughter, Janet (Bert) Page of Murray; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Udon (George deceased) Turner. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwen; brother, James Ernest (Mildred) Gough; Nile (Vivian deceased) Jeanne (living) Gough. We know they will welcome him with open arms. Ross, Elvin LEHI - Elvin A Ross, age 43, of Lehi, passed away at his home on Aug. 28, 2005, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 9, 1962 to Alvin A and Zora Wilma Wood Ross. He married Korin Dylene Louw on Oct. 7, 1992 and was later sealed in the West Jordan LDS Temple. Elvin was a truck driver and worked in construction. He was an EMT in Washington and Idaho. He helped with the uranium tailing cleanup effort in South-Eastern Utah, and also worked for Kennecott Corp. He lived most of his life in Lehi. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also a temple worker in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He especailly loved his family and children. Survived by his wife Korin of Lehi, an 11 year old daughter, Madison Leah Ross; his twin 8 year old sons, Derek Alvin and Preston Andrew Ross; his mother, Wilma Ross of Lehi, sisters, Kitty Zamora, Lehi; Carolyn Ross and LuAnn Torres, both of Firth, Idaho; GayLynn Ames, Provo. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin A. Ross and sister, Nona Ross. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the Lehi East Stake Center, 900 N. 1200 E. where friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 8/30/2005. Schomas, Clara Fay Marshall Clara Fay Marshall Schomas, passed away on August 26, 2005 in Orem, Utah, at the age of 89. She was born on April 16, 1916, the daughter of William & Elizabeth (Wall) Marshall, one of elevan children. She graduated from Evanston High School, and worked during her teenage years and part of her married life at City Drug in Evanston. Upon the death of her husband, in 1970, she moved to Provo, Utah to become a dorm mother at Brigham Young University, where she made many lasting friendships. She married Arthur Joseph Schomas on February 18, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, a son, Leslie Schomas; one grandchild; six brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her son; A.J. (Kerry) Schomas, of Sandy, Utah; a daughter, Louise (DeLynn) Cook, of Sandy, Utah; daugher, Janice (Mike) Davis, of Evanston, Wy.; a sister, Ruth Balli, of Salt Lake City, Ut.; 22 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served an LDS mission in Washington D.C., and will be fondly remembered for her many acts of service to others over the years. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Evanston Cemetery, 526 County Road. Warren went home to her Heavenly Father August 27, 2005. She was born January 18, 1915 in Provo to Joseph A. and Margaret Muhlestein. She was wed to James Robert Meldrum in 1935 (deceased). She had four children: Merlene (Phil) Petty, James R. Jr. (Lynda) Meldrum, Anna (died in infancy), Judy (Jim) Bowen. In 1956 she married Palmer T. Warren (deceased). She has 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Dee was a lifelong member of the LDS church and served in many positions. She retired from U.S. Steel in 1970. Her many hobbies included golf, bowling, archery, hunting, horses, quilting, music, dancing, and genealogy. Funeral services will be held Thurs. 1 Sept., 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Aspen 2nd Ward (1485 N. 800 W., Orem). Friends may call Wed. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 E.
