He was born December 4, 1933 in Santaquin to Kenneth Draper Hansen Sr. and Melvina Smith Hansen. He married Cleo Joyce Erickson on May 1, 1959 in the Manti LDS Temple. Cleo passed away December 10, 2003. Ken grew up in Santaquin and attended school there. He joined the U. S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict and later as a Naval Reservist Seabee during Desert Storm. He worked at Geneva Steel and retired after 34 years of service. Ken was an active member of the LDS Church and especially enjoyed his time serving as a Service Missionary at the MTC.Ken was a proud American and flew the flag at his home on every possible occasion. He is survived by his five children: Jeff (Natalee) Hansen, Springville; Diana Hansen, Orem; Laura Smith, Orem; Todd (Koreen) Hansen, Highland; Russ Hansen, Provo and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Windsor Fourth Ward Chapel, 280 West 1900 North, Orem. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Veterans Memorial Park (Camp Williams), Bluffdale, Utah. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 72. Lopez, Martina Lynn Martina Lynn Lopez was born November 22, 1980 in Shiprock, New Mexico, daughter of Marco and Louise Lopez of Pleasant Grove. Martina left this life to return to her Heavenly Father on December 19, 2005. Martina will be missed tremendously by her babes, Shaun Rasmussen and by her family and friends. Martina had a great love for her family, she loved the outdoors and was most happy when camping, fishing and hiking with Shaun, Mom, Dad and her kitties. Martina had a special love in her heart for animals, especially for her cats, Bill Bill, Littles and Petes. Martina always had a smile and would do anything for anyone. Martina is now in heaven with loved ones that have passed on. What a great reunion there will be when we are all able to see her again. Martina is survived by, Shaun, her parents, sister; Lisa (Mark) Ferrell; and baby Manny. Brothers; T.J. and Trevor. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and her Grandparents. Martina was preceded in death by her Gran and Grandad. Mahoney, Dona Anderson Heber City - Our beloved wife and mother, Dona Mahoney, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2005, from pneumonia and other complications. She was born March 5, 1924, in Heber City, Utah, to Charles and Ida Anderson. Dona worked at several jobs after she graduated from high school including Seiter's Bakery, and Wasatch County Extension Service. She was an active member of the LDS Church as long as her health permitted. She married Errol J. Mahoney October 7, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She is survived by her sweetheart of 57 years, Errol; three children: Mrs. Clark Shumway (Cindy), Mrs. Barry Parsons (Julie), and Jeremy Mahoney. She will be greatly missed. Friends may visit on Thursday, December 22, 2005 from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, and on Friday from 11:30 10:30 P.M. prior to the services in the Heber LDS 8th Ward, 650 South Southfield Road, Heber City. Startin, Floyd Fred Floyd Fred Startin passed away December 19th 2005. He was born May 19th, 1918 in a small house in Provo to Fred and Eliza Startin. He spent 3 1/2 years and made staff sergeant in the army in World War 2, becoming a "sharp shooter" and receiving the Silver Star Medal for bravery in battle in Okinawa Japan. His life profession was a head mechanic at Geneva Steel in Orem. He loved hunting and gardening all of his life, and especially fishing with his wife and daughter Barbara, and traveling when time allowed. Dorothy Bowen was his sweetheart for 65 years of marriage. They have two daughters, Sandra Lee March and Barbara Ruth Startin, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held in the Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Friday, December 23, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. Tayler, Shirley Steele Nosack Shirley Steele Nosack Tayler passed away December 18, 2005 at the age of 86. Shirley was born in her Aunt Nora's home in Delta, Utah on April 11, 1919. She was born the second of five children to Parley Bunker Steele and Lemira Belle Turner. About a year after her birth the family moved to Panguitch and this is where she called home. She graduated from Garfield High School. She also attended Brigham Young University. She married Franklin Keith Nosack on May 12, 1939 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in San Diego during the war and then they returned to Utah where her husband taught school. In 1963 they moved to Anaheim, California where they purchased and managed several motels for several years; returning to Utah to retire. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and MIA. Shirley kept a beautiful home and dedicated her life to her husband and sons. She was found working along side her husband in many capacities. She loved reading, travel, musical entertainment, hand work and collecting pretty things. She lost her husband Keith of 46 years on December 10, 1985. She later married George Tayler on August 29,1991. They enjoyed nine years together traveling around the country. He passed away November 18, 2000. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. They are: Kenneth L. Nosack (Mary) Spanish Fork, Utah; Wallace D. Nosack (Jackie) West Valley City, Utah; 6 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2005, 12:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. A viewing for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 21 from 6-8pm and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be at the Elysian Gardens, Salt Lake City, Utah. We appreciate the dedication and skill of Dr. William LeRoy and the other doctors and staff at Mt. View Hospital. We also appreciate the loving care given to Shirley at Cambry House and Summerfield Manor and the special people from Alpine Home Health and Hospice these last few months.
