She was born on April 26, 1907 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to Clarence H Jacobsen and Farrie Idona Frandsen. Olive was the oldest of five girls. In 1929 she married Kenneth Edward Lindquist of Fairview, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Thomas Theodore Tate of Tooele, Utah in 1938. Theo passed away in 1958. In 1961 Olive married Lowell Horrocks of Tooele, Utah. She loved and is survived by her step-daughter Colleen Tate (Gene) Kling and her two sons, Kenneth Clair (Nancy) Lindquist and Thomas Errol (Patricia) Tate. These children have blessed her with 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Her life was lived calmly and quietly as she served her family. After Lowell passed away in 1966 she moved from Tooele to a tidy brick home in Salt Lake City. She took tours and cruises and was active in the Seniors Dance Club until she was over 90 years old. She was a devoted daughter and was very attentive to the needs of her parents in their old age. Olive lived alone and cared for herself for more than 40 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Olive lived a righteous life without guile. For the past three and a half years she has lived with her son in Pleasant Grove, Utah. We will miss her. Family and friends may call Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street Tooele, Utah. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery. Long, Lenora Trazona Atherley Lenora Trezona Atherley Long, 89, of Pleasant Grove passed away December 24, 2005 in Manteca, California while visiting her daughter, Linda. Lenora was born June 10, 1916 on the Provo Bench to Daniel John and Agnes Tressa Peay Atherley, the 11th of 12 children. She married Francis Marion Long on December 7, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Lenora grew up in Eureka with her brother George as her constant companion. They shared many hours of horseback riding and working on the family ranch. She went to school in a one-room school house in Vernon, Utah about 25 miles from their ranch. The depression came and with a large family to feed they moved to Eureka, Utah where her father became a hard rock miner. Sometimes her mom would fix a lunch and she and George would go way back in the mountains and be gone all day long. Lenora was always known as a hard worker, especially when it came to her yard. She always had a large garden so she could "can for the winter". No matter where she lived, the neighborhood was brightened by her beautiful yard. Lenora worked in food services for both Alpine School District and BYU for many years. She served faithfully in many church callings during her life. She and Frank enjoyed their time serving as ordinance workers in the Provo Temple. After Frank's death, Lenora served as a full-time missionary in the Washington D.C. Mission. She is survived by her three children: Linda (Ken) Hicken, Manteca, CA; Karen (Benny) Adams, Pleasant Grove; Duane (Cindy) Long, Pleasant Grove; 23 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; children: Agnes Pauline Hone, Drewry Benson Long and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orchard Ward Chapel, 868 South Locust Ave., Pleasant Grove where friends may call one hour prior to services. She was born November 24, 1956 in Provo to Jim LeRoy and the late Joyce LeRoy. She married and later divorced the late Barry Ainge and Rod Carter. She married Emitt Losee. She was a homemaker, loved being outdoors and being with family. She is survived by her husband, dad and stepmom Jim and Carol LeRoy, sons Cody (Natalie), Chris (Molly), stepsons Burton, Martin, Jason, brothers Jamie, Court, Pat, Todd (Marie), sisters Tina (Doug) and Gale, brother-in-laws Alven and Burton, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mom. Pagie, we love you and you'll always be in our hearts. Graveside services will be held at Springville Evergreen Cemetery Wednesday 12:00 P.M. Published in the Daily Herald on 12/28/2005. McBride, Thora Thora D. Larsen McBride has joined her eternal companion and sweetheart, Charles Lester, who preceded her in death by 42 years. Thora was born October 12, 1922, in Victor, Idaho, a daughter of James Elmer and Pearl Jones Larsen. She passed away December 26, 2005 in Bountiful, Ut. Thora served faithfully in the LDS Church as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. She also served in the Relief Society and in the Young Women's Organizations. She loved to paint and sew. She made quilt tops and doll quilts for everyone. Most of her life was spent in service to others. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family. Survivors include her five children: Paulene (Allen) Kerr of Oregon City, OR; Barbara (Gilbert) Wellisch of Woods Cross, UT; Corey Lester (Linda) McBride of Lindon, UT; Vail Lee (Pamela) McBride of Pocatello, ID; Keith Larell (Beverly) McBride of Hubbard, OR, 32 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, her sisters: June Penfold of Driggs, ID; Mary Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, UT; James (Ila) Larsen of Roosevelt, UT; Terry Lee (LaRene) Larsen of Duschesne, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Lester McBride, her infant brother and sister Pearl and Parl Larsen, brothers Dennis Larsen and Dale Larsen. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Timpanogos Park 1st Ward Chapel, 1000 North Main in Orem. Friends and family may call Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There will be a graveside service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Victor, Idaho Cemetery, followed by a gathering for family and friends at the Victor LDS Church. Teasdale, Elaine Cutler Elaine Cutler Teasdale, age 81, passed away on December 22, 2005, peacefully in her home. Elaine was born July 16, 1924, to Louis Harold Cutler and Lorene Burdon. She attended school in Springville, UT, graduating from Springville High School. She married Melvin James Teasdale, March 17, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings during her life. She served as a temple worker; Relief Society president; Young Woman's President; Beehive teacher; and loved writing to all of the missionaries keeping them informed of events back home, as well as many other callings. She has been involved in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, serving as Captain; as well as the American Legion, serving as both vice president and secretary; and, has made many life-long friends because of her service to others. She loved to write poetry and was listed in The International Who's Who In Poetry, receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award. She was very blessed to have wonderful friends and neghbors who loved and cared for her. She enjoyed needlework, crocheting, and quilting; but, most of all, she loved her family and devoted her life to them as a Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by three sons: Melvin Jay (Linda) Teasdale, West Valley City, UT; Harold Dean (Elaine) Teasdale, Syracuse, UT; and Keith (Carla) Teasdale, Spanish Fork, UT; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Louis Kay (Diane) Cutler, Orem, UT; and Dale R Cutler, Springville, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin James Teasdale; her parents; and step-mother, Lorena Radmall. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005, at the 10th Ward Church, 381 East 400 North, Spanish Fork, at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork; and, on Friday, from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
