Tom graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor and Masters Degree. He served three full-time missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Tom married Deanna Denison on September 7, 1960 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Tom and Deanna were blessed with five sons and two daughters. Tom is survived by his wife, Deanna, and his children: David (Natalie) Bean; Robert (Michelle) Bean, Russell (Bonnie) Hyde; Barbara Bean; Hiatt (Natalie) Bean; Richard (Carillisa) Bean; Brenda (Aaron) Walker; Brian (Anna) Bean; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, brothers Jim, Dan, and George Bean and sister Patricia Davis. He was a Seminary Teacher for 30 years and a builder. He was very accomplished and had many achievements in his life. Tom was known to all for his sense of humor and his willingness to serve. Thomas H. Bean returned to his Heavenly Father on December 29, 2005. A viewing will be held on Monday Jan. 2 from 6:00 8:00 pm at the Elk Ridge East Stake Center located at 185 East Ridge View Drive, Elk Ridge. Throckmorton, Verna Oberg Our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away December 29, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. Verna was the only daughter and oldest of six younger brothers. She was born August 19, 1926 in Sutherland, Utah to Harold and Elsie Asay Oberg. She married the love of her life, Sidney Arden Throckmorton August 18, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Genola, Utah. Verna was a friend to all. She was a great cook, loved her garden, and was a fabulous seamstress. She was a poet, song writer, and wrote many tributes. Her greatest tribute was the life she lived here on earth. Verna was a devout member of the LDS Church. She served in the Provo temple, was Primary President, Ward and Stake Relief Society President, Stake missionary, and worked in many other auxiliaries. She will be missed by her children; Danny (Sharon) Throckmorton, Genola, Kathy (Robert) Rasmussen, West Mountain, Karen (Gary) Brimhall, Orem, Nancy (Fred) Tasker, Sutherland, Cindy (Jerry Lee) Shepherd, Lake Shore, Max (Gaylene) Throckmorton, Genola, and Susan (Mike) Ogden, Goshen; 3 brothers, Marvin (Joan) Oberg, Robert (Willetta) Oberg, Dale (Leta) Oberg; mother-in-law, Verda Throckmorton; and her aunt, Delsa Rounds. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Max, Don and Bernard. Her 34 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren will surely miss "Grandma popsicle" as she was so lovingly called. But her spirit lives on for eternity. We love you Mom! Funeral services will be Monday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Genola Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
