Jack was born August 30, 1936 in Oak Creek, Colorado to John and Naomi Clark Boyd. He married Lynda Rae Petersen on January 8, 1955. He was active as Assistant Scout Master, DeMolay Advisor and Little League with his sons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a Reserve Police Officer for Springville City. Jack was Past Master of Damascus Lodge #10, F and AM Provo, Past Patron Tintic Chapter #18 OES. He worked for D & RG Railroad for 27 years and then for Utah State Surplus Property for 17 years. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Lynda; sons, David (Sherill), Larry and John F. (Jeanette); daughter, Sherri (Blake) Halverson; brother, Carl (Shirley) Boyd; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Alvin and Allen. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. Herrod, Kimball G. 1970 ~ 2005 Kimball George Herrod, 34, died January 30, 2005 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born September 4, 1970 in San Diego, CA to Dr. Niles W. and Janet Edmunds Herrod. He grew up in Provo, UT where he graduated from Timpview High School in 1989 and was an Eagle Scout. He served in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission from 1989 - 1991. He attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration. He worked as a healthcare consultant in El Segundo, CA from 1997 - 2003 and was working as a hospital administrator at Ogden Regional Medical Center at the time of his death. He married Catherine Parkinson on November 16, 1995 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four children: Scott (7), Taylor (5), Matthew (3) and Elizabeth (9 months). He was a loving and adoring husband and father. He expressed his love to his wife and family each day and for that gift they are truly thankful. He was a wonderful son, brother, friend and colleague. Kimball was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His life was filled with service to others. He had a pure heart and a kind spirit. He was an example to all of faithfulness in keeping his covenants and in living the precepts of the Gospel. He is survived by his wife Catherine; children, Scott, Taylor, Matthew and Elizabeth; parents, Niles and Janet Herrod (Provo); siblings, Chris (Alia) Herrod, (Provo); Bret (Trisha) Herrod, (Denver, CO); Tami (Blair) Morgan, (St. Louis, MO), Jamilyn (Byron) Ward, (Dallas, TX); Catherine's parents, Alan and Christina Parkinson, (Provo); her sisters, Rebecca (Dan) Mudrick (Boston, MA); Emily (Bryan) Dunford (Pleasant Grove), Anne (Peter) Reichman, (Provo); and Melissa. Wilde, Ray Hyde Orem Ray Hyde Wilde, 75, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Utah Valley Regional Hospital after a valiant fight with a rare Lung Disease. He was born Feb. 28, 1929 in Rupert Idaho, A son of Leonard Ray Wilde and Mirinda Elvira Hyde. He married his sweetheart Charlotte A. Gibson, September 15, 1984 in The Los Angeles Temple. Ray was educated in Ogden High School, Ogden Utah, where upon graduation he received a scholarship to Julliard Music School. He was unable to attend due to his father's illness. At the age of 16, Ray became the youngest member of the Tabernacle Choir. He continued his passion through local theaters in performances such as All Faces West, Carman, Bye Bye Birdie, The Cowardly Lion in Wizard of Oz, Tavia in the Fiddler on the Roof, and Mayor Shinn in the Music Man. His love of God manifested itself in many church callings. Ray served a mission in Louisville, Kentucky, which became a building Mission. Ray served in many callings as Branch Mission President, President of the 70's Elders Quorum President, Ward Mission Leader, Choir Director, and the Gospel Doctrine Instructor. Ray received a blessing that he would be a temple builder - A promise fulfilled when Ray was called to the Temples and Special Project Division of the Church. His responsibility was all Welfare Centers, including Wheat Silos, Deseret Industries, Canneries, Visiting Centers and his favorite, the Temples. He was the project Representative for Southern California area for the remodeling of Los Angeles Temple in 1981. Ray will be remembered most by his family and friends for his jovial positive attitude, his beautiful baritone voice and most of all his testimony and love for his family. He always extended his hand to touch as you walked by, along with a kiss on the check or a smile. He could brighten your day by just saying "Hello". Survived by his loving wife Charlotte, whom we want to thank for making him so very happy, and brought so much love into our lives. Survived by his four children, Daughters: Cynthia Manire, Orem, Ut, Roxanne Rohner (Ed), Santee, Ca., Kim Teresa Wilde, El Cajon, Ca. Son: Ray Hyde Wilde Jr. (Valerie), Kaysville, Ut., 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one Grand Cat Savanah. Rays three sisters: Elda Marriott, Ogden, Ut., Elvia Langford, Hooper, Ut., Colleen (Gerald) Moser, Riverton, Ut. He was preceded in death by his first sweetheart Mary Lou Wilson, who died of cancer. His parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Dad, we will miss you! God be with you til we meet again. His memorial service will be Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at 1485 N. 800 W., Orem, Utah.
