She passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 17, 2005. The family spent their summers in the LaSal Mountains and their school time in Moab. After graduation, Claire apprenticed as a beautician with her Aunt Olive. With these skills, she ventured out of Utah to California, then on to cruise ships. Upon Tom's return, they made their home in San Francisco and had two boys - Mike and Tom. They moved to Menlo Park in the early 50's. When Tom died in 1965, Claire again went back to work - at Hewlett-Packard and continued to travel. She moved to Utah in the 80's - built and managed an apartment complex - traveled some more. She loved BYU football, taking classes, swimming, and her friends. She was a Temple worker in the Provo Temple. She is survived by her two sons, daughters-in-law, Debi and Christine; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and her brothers: Arden, Kent, Floyd, and Homer Johnson, as well as their families; and numerous other nephews and nieces.
