Lucile was born in Provo, Utah, on November 30, 1923, to True and Emma Scott. She spent many hours in her childhood and early adult life working on the family farm. On April 3, 1954, Lucile married Earl C. Dalley. Together they raised her daughter, Gloria. Through Earl's work, they traveled and lived in many different places, but then settled back in Provo. Lucile was employed at Utah Valley Hospital for 16 years. She adored all of the lifelong friends she made there and talked about her experiences frequently. She had many hobbies. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and liked to crochet. Lucile was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent much of her time in service to others; sharing everything she had with them. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Bosman Peterson (Dennis); two sisters, Velma Foote (Dell), and Norma Smith (C.L.); five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Lucile endured many physical trials in her life. We are all comforted to know that she is now released from these pains. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the Lakeside 1st Ward Chapel, 131 South 1600 West, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, from 6-8 p.m.; or, on Wednesday, at the church from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. He was born August 2, 1939, in San Francisco, CA, to Gerald R. And Thonny Kalsime Nottingham. He was the owner and operator of Gary's Precision Machine for 33 years, a business he took great pride in. He enjoyed spending time on his boat; and, with his job and hobby of working with cars and motors. Spending time with his grandchildren was also very special to him. Gary was a friend to all who knew him. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Rick Dehaas (Lori), of Highland; James Nottingham (Sherry), of Boise, ID; Dakota Nottingham, of American Fork; and Angie Martin (Darren), of Richcrest, CA; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Betty O'Harra (Mike), of Florida. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2005, in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah; where friends and family may call, from Noon to 1:45 p.m., prior to the services. Tucker, age 80, of Provo, died January 8, 2005, at the Timpanogos Regional Medical Center in Orem. She was born May 11, 1924, in Gilmer, Texas, to John E. and Ella Aletha Creel Myers. She married James Howard Tucker on August 24, 1942, in Gladewater, Texas. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2000. LaVerne was raised and educated in Gilmer, Texas, and graduated from Gilmer High School. The family made their home in Longview, Texas, which was their main residence, but they also enjoyed spending time, and many winter months in Mesa, Arizona. LaVerne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served many callings, including Primary and Mutual teacher. She was an avid genealogist, and she and her husband traveled many miles to gather genealogical information. She worked for 11 years as the Payroll Department Manager for J.C. Penney Company. LaVerne loved her many friends, and the staff members of Courtyard at Jamestown, and her family would like to express their sincere thanks for the loving care and attention given to her. LaVerne was much loved and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she greatly adored. She is survived by two daughters: Diane Starks, of Lindon, UT; and Sandra (Chet) Beedle, of Apple Valley, CA; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wallace Myers, of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Elaine Koopman; and by a brother, Frances Glenn Myers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
