Willis H. Crowley, 90, of Springville passed away Sunday morning, January 16, 2005, at his home of natural causes. Willis was born November 6, 1914, in Chromo, Colorado. He married Nora Hastings in 1939 and had three sons by that marriage. Willis married Alice Faulkner Crowley in 1946; together they raised the kids and spent many happy years until Alice died of cancer in 1976. Willis married Marie Migliacchio who also passed away due to cancer in 1979. Willis and Mary Donna Heisse married February 2, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They enjoyed almost 24 years of traveling, socializing with their many friends, "snow birding" in Arizona, and summering in their mountain cabin¥but mostly sharing life and love with their large, extended family and each other. Willis had a lifelong career as an electrician, starting out in the 1930s in the copper mines at Inspiration Copper in Miami, Arizona. He took great pride in doing a quality job. He worked all over the country in construction, and his handiwork can be seen in many local buildings and projects. Willis loved the outdoors and instilled that love in his sons. His knack for photography leaves an extensive record that attests to his love of the vast and beautiful West. For most of his life he was an avid hunter, later turning to hunting with the camera. Willis never met an animal that he could not befriend. Willis is survived by his wife Mary Donna Crowley; three sons, Robert J. Crowley of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Allen C. Crowley of Portland, Oregon, and John C. Crowley of Oregon City, Oregon; stepdaughter Donna L. Poulson, wife of Dick Poulson, of Mapleton and stepson Thomas C. Breuninger of San Luis Obispo, California; seventeen grandchildren; and over forty great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at the Springville Community Presbyterian Church, 245 South 200 East in Springville at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held 1/2 hour prior to services (1:30 p.m.) where friends and family may call. St. George, Utah- James Charles "J.C." Evans, age 82, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005, at the home of his daughter, in St. George. He was born July 21, 1922, in Eureka, Utah, to Argyle and Pearl Francom Evans. He married Lucille Carlson on March 9, 1941, in Provo, Utah. J.C. worked in the plumbing trade for 54 years. He was a lifelong resident of Provo. He and Lucille have spent the last several winters in Leeds. J.C. loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed working in his yard and on his mountain property. He was a hard worker all of his life. J.C. was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. J.C. was a unique personality, and he will be loved and missed by his family and friends. J.C. is survived by his: wife, of nearly 64 years; two daughters, DeAnn (Jeff Burnham) Neugebauer, of Tucson, AZ, and Judy (Jon) Hall, of St. George; five grandchildren, Jamie (Sheila) Phillips, of Orangeville, UT, Michelle Marinoni, of Tucson, AZ, Cary (Ray) Hosner, of St. George, Shane Neugebauer, of Utah County, and Tara (Cory) Johnson, of Washington, UT; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Boyd (Joan) Evans, of Overland Park, KS. Private family services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery. Fox, Kevin Scott Kevin Scott Fox Beloved "Son" and "Father" and "Grandfather," age 43, passed away January 17, 2005 at the Provo, Utah East Lake Care Center after a long bout with cancer. He was born Sept. 30, 1961 in Provo, Utah, to Marshall Street and Louise Spencer Fox. Kevin worked in Cafe's most of his life as a "Cook," and "Kitchensupervisor" at Prestwitch Farms' Cafe in Orem. He is survived by his parents, his ex-wife, Julie Ann Fox Smith and 4 children, Tiffany Ann Fox (Hewlett); Toshya Brittney Fox (Holley); Tabitha Courtney Fox; and a son, Tyler Fox; one granddaughter, Rebekah Ann Hewlett. Also survived by six brothers and two sisters: Rick (Kathy) Fox, Alfred (Gail) Fox, Marshall Roy (Lora) Fox, Jay Russell (Jane) Fox, Robert Shawn (Annette) Fox, Randy (Paula) Fox, Ida Fox, andDebra (Richard) Hill. Jense, Lucille Ashman Murdock Beaver: Lucille Ashman Murdock Jense died peacefully in her sleep Thursday morning, January 13, 2005 in Beaver, Utah. Lucille Ashman was born in Fillmore, Utah, July 1, 1914, the only daughter of Charles Nye & Fannie Dearden Ashman. She had six brothers, Harold, Albert, Everett, Dale, Merlin and Elvin. Lucille was the last surviving member of this family. She was educated in the schools of Fillmore and graduated from Millard High School in 1932. She married A. Carlos Murdock of Beaver in the St. George Temple on May 25, 1932 and the couple made their home in Beaver. She and Carlos were parents to five sons. In 1955 the family moved to Cedar City, then returned to Beaver in 1958. Carlos died suddenly in 1966 leaving Lucille a widow at the age of 52. She married Wesley Jense in 1969 and moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah. In 1975, she and Wesley served a full-time mission in West Virginia. Wesley died in 1990. Shortly after, Lucille moved to St George and lived there for several years. In 1994 she returned home to Beaver, where she has since resided. Lucille has given a lifetime of Church and Community service. She has served in many church callings. She had an insatiable desire to be productive and creative. She became an accomplished and award winning artist. Her paintings and ceramics grace many homes and several public places. Lucille also wrote poetry. She was an accomplished cook and loved to host loved ones and friends who visited her home. She dearly loved her family and her neighbors. Lucille is survived by four sons, Carlos Dale (Louise) of Beaver, Sumner Reed (Charlotte) of Layton, Kenneth Joe (Marvalee) of St George and Harold Duane (Hal) (Gloria) of Beaver. She has 25 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren & 6 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Carlos & Wesley, a son George Charles who died shortly after his birth, a daughter-in-law, Karen Koford Murdock and a grandson Jeffrey Harold Murdock. We celebrate her reunion with her husband and other loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 12:00 PM at the Beaver LDS 6th Ward Chapel at 1380 East 200 North. Born in Oakland, CA. Sept. 7, 1936. One of Louis and Elizabeth's 13 children. Survived by wife of 50 years, Amelia, children Susan (Mel) Baker, Sharla (Bruce) Anderson, LeAnn (Mark) Wilson, Edwin (Laura) Johnson, Lynda (Wayne) Madairy. Lehi, DeVere Oliver DeVere Evans Flygare Oliver, age 89 of Lehi, died January 18, 2005 in American Fork, Utah of congestive heart failure. Born July 12, 1915 in Lehi, Utah to Hyrum and Lillian Evans. Married Karl Chamberlain Flygare Aug. 19, 1933. Later divorced. Married Charles Ernest Oliver April 28, 1961. He died Nov. 10, 1985. DeVere was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. Survived by her children: Mary Jean (Grant) Robinson, Alpine; Linda Herrera, Mesa, AZ; Robert (Joann) Flygare, Orem; Richard (Louise) Flygare, Henderson, NV; Gail (Angela) Oliver, Kathy Oliver, Sharolyn Herrera, all of Salt Lake City; Richard (Marilyn) Oliver, Lehi; Rose Ann Hill, California; sister, Zona Steiner, American Fork; brother, Glen Evans, West Jordan; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers, daughter Karleen Sorenson, and son Burt Oliver. Ludlow, Blake Our beloved Blake Christian Ludlow, 20, lost his battle with drug addiction on January 16, 2005. Blake was born June 22, 1984 in Payson, Utah to Christian Bryan Ludlow and Karen Jill Tischner. Blake attended Payson and Landmark High Schools. He was a member of the LDS church. Blake had an contagious smile and an unconditional love for everyone he met. He was employed at Tischner Ford in Santaquin and loved camping, four-wheeling in Moab and any outdoor activity. He had a unique love for little children, especially his cousins who loved to be around him. He was always of service to others and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Blake loved life until an addiction took away his agency. He worked to help others learn from his experiences and save them from the pain of addiction. He is now free of his pain and suffering and can continue to progress. He is survived by his parents, Chris (Sue Ann) Ludlow, Spanish Fork, Karen (Mike) Montague, Santaquin; brothers and sisters, LeAnn, Joey, Tiffany, Brandon and Leon; grandparents, Deon Ludlow, Spanish Fork, Kay and Louise Tischner, Santaquin, Ray and Edna Montague, Sandy, Vernon and Doris Marshall, Spanish Fork; two great grandmothers, Edith Tischner, Santaquin, and Norma Montague, Salt Lake City; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a dear grandfather, Allen Ludlow, and an uncle, Bradley Tischner. Funeral services will be Friday, January 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Santaquin Stake Center, 45 South 500 West. Published in the Daily Herald from 1/19/2005 - 1/20/2005. Price, Merron E. 1917~2005 Merron E. Price, 87, passed away January 16, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Merron was born June 18, 1917, to Joseph and Annie Ingram Price. He married Phyllis Worthington on June 22, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. Phyllis passed away on November 13, 1984. He married Aleen Field Reid on July 13, 1985. Merron spent his life in Nephi, working 35 years at the Nephi Rubber Plant. He was active in the Scouting program for 30 years, eight years working as a Scoutmaster. He received the Second Miler, and the Silver Beaver awards for his dedication to young men in the scouting program. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints he held several positions. He served as a member of the bishopric in the First and Fourth wards . He was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing many vegetables and flowers which were enjoyed by his friends and neighbors. Merron and his wife Aleen spent the winter months in Overton, Nevada, returning to Nephi in the Spring. Merron is survived by his wife Aleen, one son Stephen of Nephi, two daughters Mrs Fred L. (JoAnn) Gowers of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mrs Arthur (Marlene) Olivas of Ogden, Utah He is also survived by his step children Carolyn Farhet of St Paul, Minn. Paula Turner of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Charles Reid of Danbury, Iowa and David Reid of Salt Lake City, Utah . He had six grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. He also had nineteen step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 22 January 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Nephi 3rd-5th LDS ward church , 345 East 500 North, Nephi Utah. Friends my call at the Anderson Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the chapel Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery.
