Bushnell, Patricia Jane Mart Patricia Jane Mart Bushnell, 61 died of cancer on January 19, 2005 in Carthage, Missouri. Pat ws born April 9, 1943 in American Fork, Utah, the daughter of Jessie Fowles and Edwin L. Mart of Pleasant Grove and attended Pleasant Grove High School. She married James Pyper (div.), Married Don Richards (div.), Married Lyle Bushnell who continued to love and care for her until her death. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie and Toni, sons, Brad and Todd, 10 grandchildren and her sisters, Gayle (Donald) Holdaway, Lindon, and Kaye (Everett) Wendel, West Valley. Published in the Daily Herald on 1/27/2005. Dudley, Flora Beck Flora Beck Dudley, of Orem passed away on January 25, 2005 at the age of 75. Flora was born in Springville, Utah on December 31, 1929 to Wayne Andrew and Rachel Marsh Beck. She married Mervin Ralph Dudley on August 4, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on November 7, 1958. She was an active member of the LDS church and served faithfully in many callings and positions to name a few: primary president, laurel teacher in the Young Women's program, and primary teacher. She loved music and helped others to appreciate music as primary chorister, choir member, choir president for six years, and Relief Society chorister. She had a passion for genealogy and temple work and worked diligently in the stake genealogy extraction program for over twenty years. She served a microfilming mission for the LDS church family history with her husband in Toronto, Canada. She was always concerned about others less fortunate than herself. She was charitable and giving of her means and serving all those in need. She was a obedient, faithful daughter of God and endured to the end. Survivors include her husband, Mervin Ralph Dudley, three daughters and one son; Karen (Reed) Bloxham of Layton, Sharen (Dean) Riding of Boise, Idaho, Connie (John) Schindler of Price, and Darrel Lynn (Diane) Dudley of Orem. Five brothers; Kenneth Wayne Beck of Henderson, Nevada, Alfred Thomas Beck of Bountiful, Richard Vernon Beck of Springville, Alton Clifton Beck of Springville, and Milton "M" Beck of Forks, Washington. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Rachel Beck. A special thank you to the staff at Timpanogas Hospital ICU for their loving, compassionate care. We know Flora appreciates the Orem 3rd ward members, the ward Relief Society, her sweet friends and family and extended family members' love and Christ-like service. Fryer, Winona Clark Winona Clark Fryer, 89, of Provo, passed away January 25, 2005 at Country View Manor. Her death was incident to age. She was born August 2, 1915, in Provo, Utah, daughter of Thomas Lowin and Hazel Giles Clark. She married Howard R. Fryer August 10, 1936 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Winona spent most of her life in Provo. She graduated from B.Y.U. and attended nursing school at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was an active member of the LDS Church, residing in the Provo 3rd Ward, and serving faithfully in many positions, including Relief Society President. Winona and her husband also worked as temple workers in the Provo Temple. She loved her family. She loved traveling with her friends and family. She was well known for her wonderful cooking. Winona is survived by her children: Kenneth L. Fryer (Joan) of Orem, David H. Fryer (Kathy) of Pleasant Grove, and Laura (Orson) Herrmann of Cedar Hills; 16 Grandchildren; 35 Great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Beth Mitchell of Provo. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard, her sons Howard Richard and Lynn Russell, and brother Woodrow Clark. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel, 185 E. Center Street, Provo, Utah. Goodell, Boni Lu Boni Lu Goodell, age 50, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, January 25th, 2005 after battling cancer. A valiant daughter of God, she had many friends in this life that she loved and that loved her. Born April 28, 1954 in Rapid City, S.D. to Frank Goodell (Springville) and Cara Le Goodell (Lindon). Boni is survived by her parents and brothers and sister: Gary (Mary), Robert, Steve (Theresa), Frank Jr., John, Charles (Roni), and Rebecca Larson (Gene) and extended family who will all miss her. Hamilton, Thomas James Thomas James Hamilton, 81, of Santaquin, Utah passed away January 23, 2005, surrounded by loved ones. Tom was born May 19, 1923 in Sugar City, Idaho, to Robert Hill and Elizabeth Ada Gundersen Hamilton, the youngest of 8 children. He married Marian Emily Parker on October 1, 1942 in the Logan Temple. He was a lifelong member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in many positions. He was a member of the High Priest Group at the time of his death. He served in the Corp of Engineers in the African-Italy campaign during WWII. He was injured in active duty. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, his son Robert P. Hamilton and a great-grandson Nathan David Peacock. He is survived by his wife, Marian, daughter Lynet (David) Ferre, son Boyd (Debbie Herring) Hamilton, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Haslam, Barta Ann Jones Barta Ann Jones Haslam, 86, died Jan. 23, 2005 at her home in San Diego, CA. She was born Feb. 12, 1918 in Lehi, Utah the daughter of David and Sevilla Clark Jones. She married Glen Haslam who preceded her in death in 1972. She is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters, Donald (Susan) Haslam, Upland, CA; Mark (Kathy) Haslam, San Diego, CA; Phillip (Laurie) Haslam, Carlsbad, CA; Barbara (Milton) Brinton, WA; Luann (Victor) Sandoval, Pasadena, CA; a sister, Ora (Barry) Ride, Bountiful; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Jensen, Maryann 1951 ~ 2005 Our loving sister, aunt and friend, MaryAnn Jensen, age 53, passed away at home on January 26, 2005. Born November 7, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a twin daughter of Melvin and Della Mae Chambers Jensen. MaryAnn loved her family and was especially close to her twin sister, JoAnn. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her sisters: Denise (Dave) Naylor and JoAnn Jensen; niece, Heather Naylor; nephew Travis (Jessica ) Naylor; 2 great nieces, Akaylea and Aspen; special friend Sherrie Hubner, and many other friends who loved her dearly. Published in the Daily Herald on 1/27/2005. Roberts, Madge Munk Madge Munk Roberts, 91, beloved wife of Stanley Dee Roberts, passed away peacefully in her home, Fri. Jan 21, 2005 in American Fork. She was born Oct 18, 1913 in Manti, Utah, the first child of Leo Domgaard Munk and Emerett Theressa Andersen. She married Stanley Dee Roberts, her eternal sweetheart, on June 28, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they have raised 8 children, 2 foster sons and Madge's 2 brothers, Howard and Fred. She has faithfully served in many church callings. She served with Stan as he presided as mission President in the Arizona, Holbrook and New Mexico, Albuquerque Missions. She enjoyed her service as a temple worker in the Provo and Mount Timpanogos Temples and the many friends she made there. Madge was preceded in death by her husband - Stanley Dee Roberts (Feb 27, 2003); parents - Leo D. Munk and Emerett Anderson; brother - Fred Munk; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. She is survived by her brother - Howard (Jeanne) Munk, SLC and children; Carol (Harlo) Beckstrand, Woodland Hills; Kent (Karen) Roberts, Brent (Patricia) Roberts, and Fred (Marianne) Roberts all of Am Fork; LaRae (Brent) Child, Farmington; LaRee (Roger) Gillespie, Nigeria; Clark (Barbara) Roberts, Lindon; Merrill (Polly) Roberts, Am Fork; foster sons Arthur (Emily) Allison, Farmington, NM; Richard (Brenda) Nelson, Phoenix; 56 grandchildren; 107 great grandchildren with 7 great and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Steineckert, Jay Kent "Steinie" Jay Kent Steineckert passed away peacefully on January 24, 2005 at the age of83.He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Grete, just 3 weeks earlier. Kent was born in Provo on April 28, 1921 to Henry and Nellie Steineckert. He enlisted in the US Army at the beginning of World War II and served in Germany under General George Patton. It was there he met the woman that would be his constant companion for the next 57 years. They were married in Provo after the war and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Soon after his return to the United States he went to work for the Coca Cola Bottling Company where he remained employed until his retirement 38 years later. Kent always had a twinkle in his eye with a wonderful sense of humor. A dedicated husband, father and friend, he will be greatly missed. He was a lover of people and always wanted to know the story of everyone he met. He and his wife had many wonderful friendships that lasted a lifetime and were always making new friends along the way. He was never happier than when he was fishing and he and Grete spent every possible moment fishing the lakes of Utah, especially Strawberry Reservoir. He was an active member of the LDS church and served for many years in the priesthood of the Provo 8th Ward. The last few years of his life were spent being lovingly cared for by the staff at The Courtyard at Jamestown and Orchard Park. For all their many kindnesses, Kent's family is truly grateful. Kent was preceded in death by his brother Dean Steineckert and is survived by his daughter Frieda Thorndike of Walnut Creek, Ca., his brother and sister in law, Ericand Mary Jean Steineckert of Orem, grandchildren, Carol Austin and Chris Thorndike, both living in California, 4 great grandchildren plus 6 devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 12:00 noon in the Cascade Chapelat Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem.
