He was born June 16, 1952 to Joseph Allen and LaPriel Penrod Calton. Born at 10 lbs., he was the youngest of 5 boys and 2 girls. Clae enjoyed riding horses with his brother Ken and team roping. He enjoyed taking care of his pinto horse Brewsky. Clae graduated from Lehi High School and was a master at taxidermy work. This was a real art that his friend, Bud Nielson, tutored him in. Clae was interested for a few years in performing cowboy poetry. He was very talented in putting his pen to paper. Hunting was a great past time in his younger years. We will all miss his pickled eggs he gave us at Christmas time. He was an expert at making liver and onions that his mother taught him how to make. Survived by his two brothers, Kenneth (Linda) and Sid Calton; and two sisters, May (Don) Bateman and Vera (Norm) Brooks. Preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Paul and Boyd Eugene. Graveside services will be Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehi City Cemtery, 1100 N 400 E. Johnson, Al Albert Ketchum Johnson passed away January 27, 2005, in Provo, Utah, after experiencing stomach, chest and back pain and receiving a diagnosis of metastasized pancreatic cancer on January 26, 2005, only some 24 hours prior to his passing mercifully. He was born November 30, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The firstborn of 2 sons of Charles Albert and Christine Julia Ketchum Johnson. Al will be remembered as a "greatest generation" U.S. Navy enlistee, a rumbling bass and church choir director, a fun chemistry teacher at Provo and Independence High Schools, a jester to mask stage fright, a trumpet aficionado, a vigorous and youthful reluctant retiree, at once fun-loving and shy and a lover of a good joke and chivalrous among friends, a doting husband, and the father of four daughters and four sons and a daughter who died at birth. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren. Dad, we will miss your laugh, as well as, the music from your trumpet. Tatom, Peggy Hallam Peggy Hallam Tatom, 35, of Pleasant Grove passed Thursday, January 27, 2005 at her home after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born August 5, 1969 in American Fork to George and Sharon Fox Hallam. She married Nathan K. Tatom on November 18, 1999 in Pleasant Grove. Peggy grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1987. Peggy was a licensed C.N.A. and worked at several care centers in the county. Despite her own physical challenges, she was the first one to volunteer to help anyone in need. She was a truly loving and compassionate person to everyone she met. Peggy had a special loving relationship with her nieces and nephews. The real love of her life was her son and husband. She is survived by her husband, Nathan and son, Brady; parents: George and Sharon Hallam and second mother and father, Ben and Pam Tatom; grandmother, Jennie Allen all of Pleasant Grove; siblings: Mike (Karen) Hallam, Eagle Mountain; Anissa (Brad) Bangerter, Bountiful; Rebecca (James) Raburn, Tooele; Missy (Toby) Lee, Tooele and many loving extended family members. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 275 East 500 South, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services.
