Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 7/18/2005. Houser, Ned J. Ned J. Houser, age 84, of Payson, Utah, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005. He was born March 18, 1921, in Payson, Utah, to Earnest John and Ethel Mattinson Houser. He married Melva Jensen on September 17, 1941, in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in July 1958. After retiring from Pacific States Pipe Plant, he enjoyed many fun times fishing and camping with family and friends. He also enjoyed working at the Provo LDS Temple. He will be missed as a much loved family patriarch. He was always willing to go the extra mile. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Melva; a son and three daughters: Kay (Lynette), Judy (LaMar) Zeeman, Wendy (Dusty) Spencer, Barbara (John) Lerwill; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Gates. He was preceded in death by a brother, Don; three sisters: Maude, Donna and Madge; and a grandson, Brett. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Noon, at the Mountain View Sixth Ward, 681 East 500 North, Payson. McGlasson, Mary Helen Mary Helen McGlasson, age 83, of Orem, passed away July 16, 2005, at the Orchard Park Care Center in Orem. She was born July 7, 1922, in Tennessee, to William and Bertha Kilgore. She married Leonard McGlasson, January 31, 1946, in Ziegler, Illinois. Leonard passed away April 29, 1996. Mary Helen and Leonard were long-time members of the Good Sam Club and enjoyed their travels with friends; and, for many years, spent the winters in Tucson, Arizona. She was a member of the Orem Community Church. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Frances Fasig of Mulkeytown, Illinois; several nieces, cousins; and many, many good friends in the Orem-Provo area. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kathleen; her mother, father, and a sister, Wilene Canto. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2005, at 10 a.m., in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, in Orem. She was called back into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Maryah was born at Allen Memorial Hospital in Moab, Utah. Maryah is the daughter of Jason Kohl-Pettingill and Candace Gene Carter. Maryah is survived by her parents of Moab, Utah; sister, Zoe; brothers: Jason, Paul, and Jordan; grandparents: Frank Pettingill of Richfield, Utah; Abraham and Bonnie Jared of Riverside, California; and Ronald and Margaret Pope of Orem, Utah; great-grandparent, Dorothy Baker of Brawley, California. Maryah also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Maryah s spirit will live on within our hearts and will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2005, in the Provo 8th Ward Chapel, 502 East 200 North. Friends and family may call from 11:45-12:45 prior to the services at the church. Webster, Grant James Grant James Webster 1926-2005 Charleston - Grant James Webster, age 78, of Charleston, Utah, passed away in Provo, Utah, on Sunday, July 17, 2005. He was born on October 20, 1926, in Charleston, Utah, to Clyde William Webster and Rintha Jane Hudson. He married Kathern Batty on March 24, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on February 15, 1951. Grant received his education in the Charleston Elementary School and Wasatch High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 11. Grant and Kathern made their home in Charleston in the same home Grant was born and raised in. Grant s employment was a carpenter he and worked for several prominent construction companies. He also had a dairy farm. In the Charleston Ward, he served as Ward Clerk for 13 years; also, served in the Elders and High Priests Quorums. He served in the Sunday School and Young Men s Presidency. He is survived four children: Diane (Howard) Ford, of Wallsburg; Marilyn Cummings, Jim (Janeen) Webster, Bob (Paulette) Webster, all of Charleston; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and, one brother, Hudson Webster, of Salt Lake. Grant was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, one sister. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., in the Deer Creek/Charleston Ward, 3400 S. 3500 West. Visitations will be held at the CHURCH, both Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., and also 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Charleston Cemetery, in the care of the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home.
