Betty was born September 19, 1945, in Johnstown, PA, to Jacob and Marion Abel. Betty married Spencer Gatewood (later divorced); and, in August of 1975, married Edroy Anderson. They settled in Lehi, Utah, in the summer of 1976, where they raised five children and became members of the Lehi 4th Ward. She is survived by her mother, Marion Abel; and her husband, Edroy L. Anderson; and her children: Byrus (Diane) Gatewood, Beth M. (Ricky) Higley, Joshua Anderson, Lorraine (Shawn) Walden, Mary C. (Brandon) Scott, Shelly Burkhart, and Donald Anderson. She is also survived by sisters: Jackie Anderson, Celeste Peters, and Rebecca Ramirez; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacob, Zachary, Libbie, Erin, Eric, Jaiden, Katlyn, Aspen, Canyon, Brittany, Travis, and Weston. She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob F. Abel; brother, Jacob Abel; nephew, Nicholas Ramirez; and her granddaughters, Emily Higley and Shayden Wood. She will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at 10 a.m., in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main, Lehi. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, immediately following the service. Anderson, Doris Peay Doris Peay Anderson Doris Peay Anderson, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away June 7, 2005, in California, from complications following a fall and subsequent surgery. She was born August 2, 1928, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Golden B. And Estella Johnson Peay. After graduating from Pleasant Grove High School, Doris attended and graduated from Brigham Young University. On September 19, 1951, she married Dr. Grant W. Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple. Following Grant's graduation from dental school, they moved to California, where Grant practiced in Glendora for nearly thirty years, with Doris often his assistant. Grant died in 1994, after which Doris returned to Utah. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. Survived by children: Lawrence (Sharon) Anderson, Sue (Walt) Sanders, Judy Scriptunas, and Gayle (Jim) Finley; seven grandchildren: Nathan Anderson, Kristen Anderson, Walt (Leilani) Sanders, Kelly Sanders, Melanie Scriptunas, Collin Finley and Rachael Finley; five great grandchildren; brothers: Wayne (Gerry) Peay, John M. (Joan) Peay, Don (Sharon) Peay, Jaren (Beverly) Peay, Rodger (Susie) Peay. Ludwik died from injuries sustained in a tragic accident in the Provo River. Ludwik was born July 5, 2002, in Provo, Utah, to Ricardo Solano Guivara and Yadira Angel Mejia. Ludwik loved to play soccer with his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed music and liked to sing. Ludwik is survived by his parents; brothers: Oscar (14), Nestor (10), Kevin (7), Raul (7), Jensen (2); sisters: Yazary (12) and Denaly (1); grandparents, Leonardo Angel and Maria Pilar De La Rosa Mejia; grandmother, Sofia Guivara; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Martin. A viewing and Rosary is scheduled for Monday, June 13, 2005, at 6 p.m., at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street. Berrett, Rachel Mae Rachel Mae Berrett Our sweet daughter, Rachel Mae Berrett, age 21, of Spanish Fork, passed away after losing her battle with drug addiction on June 10, 2005. Rachel loved Lake Powell, wake boarding, and hanging out with her friends. She also loved to go camping and boating. She was active in Little League Softball. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2002. Rachel was lovingly raised by her stepdad, Mike, from the age of eight. Rachel, we love you, and will miss you so much. She is survived by her parents, Susan Bliss Price and Michael Lamar Price; one sister, Nicole (Shanon) Birch; two brothers: Dan Bowers, Brandon Berrett; her grandparents, Reid and Maxine Bliss, and Robert and Carol Berrett; her boyfriend, Bryon Newton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nieces, and two nephews. Denna, Benjamin Glen Benjamin Glen Denna Benjamin Glen Denna, age 23, passed away quietly at his home on May 27, 2005, concluding a life long battle with heart disease. Benjamin was born July 24, 1981, in Provo, Utah, to Eric and Lyn Denna. He graduated from Timpanogos High School in 2000 and served an LDS mission at the Church Historical Archives. Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and earning his second degree black belt in karate are only two of the many accomplishments that demonstrated his determined spirit. His love for music was surpassed only by his perseverance in making beautiful music. His thirst for gospel truth was never quenched. No stranger to suffering, he showed more meekness in trials while finding more joy in life. He and his family wish to express thanks for the many medical professionals at Moffit Hospital in San Francisco, Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, for their years of unselfish care in his behalf. Jensen, Christine Christine Jensen Mary Christine Anderson Jensen, 57, died June 9, 2005, at her home in Orem. She was born December 21, 1947, to Wallace and Kathleen Miner Anderson, in Santa Monica, California. She married Denmark L. Jensen, August 2, 1969, in the Los Angeles Temple of the LDS Church, of which she was always an active member. Survived by her husband, of Orem; eight children: Denmark (Kristi), Brian (Jennifer), Kevin (Shana) , Scott (Holly), Lisa , Eric (Sarah), Brent (Melissa), and Tina Jensen. Also survived by three brothers and two sisters: Ann (Ken) Smith, Kathleen, Melvin (Fran), Raymond, and Mark (Susan) Anderson. Preceded in death by her parents. Larsen, Jr. June 2, 1952 ~ June 8, 2005 Keith Wells Larsen, Jr., 53, passed away on June 8, 2005, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Keith Wells Larsen Sr. and Betty (Galbraith). Married Lynette Gerber, September 1971; later divorced. Married his true love, Sharon Mitchell, August 24, 1990. Keith served his country in the US Navy. There, he received his electrician's license, working on electrical motors. Worked for Westinghouse many years, putting in many large generators throughout the western states. Worked at Geneva Steel, as an electrician, working on large motors. Moved to Las Vegas, working at the Mirage as an electrical engineer. Keith was very out going and was a wonderful teacher to his fellow workers. He always made people happy around him. He loved his family and especially his grandbabies. They will miss their Papa. Keith worked in his garage making wood projects for his grandbabies. Keith loved the water and always wanted a sailboat. In his younger years, he played a pretty good game of golf and enjoyed water skiing. Everywhere Keith went, he made a friend. He will be missed by so many friends and family. He was such an example to his children, nieces, and nephews. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon M. Larsen, Las Vegas, Nevada; sons: Christopher (Katie) Larsen, and Matt (Kim) Larsen, both Tooele, Utah; Douglas (Mary) Laursen, Clearfield, Utah; and Mitchell (Mandi) Laursen, Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters: Teri Carter, West Valley, Utah; and Denille Laursen, Las Vegas, Nevada; stepmother, Pat Larsen; brothers: Phil (Andi) Larsen, West Jordan, Utah; Bryan (Amy) Larsen, Draper, Utah; sisters: Linda (Bill) Miller, Perris, California; and Debbie Rice, Salt Lake City, Utah; also five grandchildren: Chase, Kodie, Elise, Kevin, and Kason; mother in-law, Joyce Mitchell; brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Madsen, Dermont "Mont" Dermont "Mont" Madsen Dermont "Mont" Madsen, 99, passed away in Provo, Utah, on June 9, 2005. He was born in Fountain Green, Utah, to James Niels and Emma Jane Robertson Madsen, May 28, 1906, the seventh of eleven children. He attended school in Fountain Green and Moroni. Mont served in the Swiss German LDS Mission from 1928-31. He married Twyla Bagnall of Chester, Utah, on May 3, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He later married Vivian Faux, July 2001, in Provo, Utah. He served in many callings in the LDS Church, including President of the Moroni LDS Stake. He also served as a school board member for the North Sanpete School District. Mont was a salesman for New York Life Insurance Company for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Vivian, Provo, Utah; son, Merrill & Peggy Madsen, Provo, Utah; four grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Twyla, ten brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Suzanne; and great-grandson, Andrew. Shell Jr., Carl Allen Carl Allen Shell, Jr. Carl Allen Shell Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2005. He was born May 6, 1926 in Tooele, Utah, to Carl Allen Shell, Sr. and Florence Daisy Butler Shell. He married Joye Stewart, August 10, 1948, in Ely, Nevada, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Joye passed away in 1993. Carl was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy. Carl was a hard worker. He spent his whole life supporting his family. He worked as a miner; and, later worked at Pacific States for many years. He enjoyed riding and spending time with his horses. He also enjoyed working hard in his pasture. Carl was a member of the LDS church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He spent many years caring for his wife, and had a great love for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He is survived by a son, Dave Stewart Shell, Clinton, Utah; daughters: Julie (Terry) Harward, Salt Lake City, Utah; Allyn (Wade) Draper, West Point, Utah; Jayne (Melvin) West, Benjamin, Utah; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters: Dorthy (Gene, deceased) York, Tooele, Utah; Blanche (Sam) Sampson, Orem, Utah. She married Gilbert Earl Wootton on February 28, 1940, in American Fork, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Annie attended schools in Provo, and graduated from Provo High School. She is survived by her son, John G. Wootton, of Alpine; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 13, 2005, at 2 p.m., at the American Fork City Cemetery, 600 North 100 East, American Fork.
