Brother to Devon, Chantell, Nattely Rasmusen (Ben), Michael, Janae, Zachary, Jared, Ashlyn. Passed away Friday, June 10, 2005, from a tragic accident. Our sweet boy was loving and full of life. He lived every moment to the fullest and found joy and happiness in every opportunity. Ammon has been called home to his Father, where he waits for that day when he and his grandpa will be reunited with their family. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Lowther, two cousins, and Great-Grandma Lowther. Winona B. Christensen A choice and elect lady, Winona B. Christensen, left this earthly existence, to join her eternal companion, on Saturday, June 11, 2005. Her 93 years were filled with love, kindness, and compassion. She was born April 10, 1912, in Payson, Utah, to Edward and Catherine Quigley Bills, the second of four children. While spending her early years in Payson, she met her future husband. Winona and Vernon L. Christensen were married on February 14, 1933, in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Payson, before moving to Provo in 1944. Vernon and Winona built and shared a uniting, strong love and devotion for one another, their family, and their church. They were blessed with five children. Most of Winona's time was spent as a caring wife and mother. She also had many hobbies, talents and interests; she enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, needlework, as well as being a professional seamstress. As a faithful and devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many positions, including stake and ward chorister and Relief Society President. She served always with love and devotion in caring for the needs of those around her; she was non-judgmental and always spoke positively of others. She had many friends who respected and loved her in return. She also served in the community as a Provo City School District PTA president. Winona's husband and faithful companion passed away on April 17, 1992. For the last thirteen years, she has longed to be with Vernon. Once again they are together - never to be separated again. Winona was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip; daughter, Charlene Billings; and brother, Reed. She is survived by Nanette (Eugene) Lassen, Vernon Eugene (Connie), LeAnn (Gary) Brimley; son-in-law Todd Billings; twelve grandchildren, and eleven and a half great-grandchildren. We want to send a special "thank you" to the caring nurses and staff at East Lake Care Center, as well as the doctors and nurses at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and IHC Hospice for their help and kindness. We would also like to thank the many BYU/UVSC students who helped to brighten her days at the care center through their friendship and thoughtful acts. A funeral to honor Winona will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the Rivergrove 1st Ward Chapel, 780 North 700 West, Provo, Utah. Friends may show their respects at a viewing beginning at 9 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be held at the Payson City Cemetery, following the services. Holzman passed away June 6, 2005 in Highland, Utah. He was born in Brooklyn,New York on May 5, 1923. He was the eldest child of Robert and Martha Holzman. He married Doris Levi in 1944 (died July 1986) and they enjoyed 42 years together in Southern California. They were blessed with a son, Michael Holzman, (New York City) and a daughter, Debra Isaacs, (Highland, Utah). Arthur worked in the aerospace industry as a budget analyst. He was married to Donna Craft on April 2, 1987. They made their home in Mesa, Arizona. Art and Donna had just arrived in Utah to spend the summer. They enjoyed 18 wonderful years together. Running and weight lifting were Arthur's passions. He was an excellent athlete and ran the Boston Marathon in 1980. He loved to read, write and had a wonderful sense of humor. Art was most comfortable outdoors, he enjoyed hiking and camping. He was beloved by all for his warmth, kindness and gentle spirit. Art was an honorable man with great integrity. Arthur is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter and son-in-law, Debra (Clifford) Isaacs, his son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Jane) Holzman, two stepchildren Cory Craft and Christina Gunderson, his grandaughter, Tiffany Rose Isaacs and his grandson, Marc Holzman, 7 stepgrandchildren, Cliff Jr., Kim, Jeff, Julia, Dano, Ellie, Paul and Jonathon, and a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Marvin) Dender. Services will be held Wed June 15, 2005 at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork. There will be a viewing at 11 am prior to the services held at 12 noon. Litster, LuDean LuDean Litster 1918-2005 LuDean Litster, age 86, passed away June 12, 2005, in South Jordan, Utah of causes incident to age. LuDean was born October 12, 1918, in Cleveland, Emery County, Utah. He was the sixth of twelve children born to William Thomas and Ida Viola Johnson Litster. He married Florence Theora Knox, April 17, 1940 in Huntington, Utah, and their marriage was solemnized September 11th, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple. LuDean is survived by his wife of 65 years; and four of their six children: Nedra (Al) Warner of St. George, Larry (Faye) Litster of Provo, Susan Litster of Sandy, and Brent (Nanette) Litster of Sandy; 24 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren. LuDean is also survived by five sisters: Viola (Joseph) Hardy, Arnell (Harold) Clark, Uneva (Dilts) Workman, Geraldine (Ralph) Walters, Yvonne (Lloyd) Jones; and sister-in-law, Lyle Litster. LuDean was preceded in death by two children: Kent Litster (a twin), and Evelyn Litster Jackson; two grandchildren: Karen Peterson, and Paul Litster; as well as two great-granddaughters: Alisha Mei Litster, and Alexandra Stilson. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and four sisters: Errol (Lyle) Litster, Opal (Norman) Andersen, Christal (Guard) Young (Clair) Mathis, Robert D. (Birdell) Litster, Geneal (Vaughn) Jensen, and Gloria (Carlisle) McPhie. LuDean was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions within that organization, and at the time of his death held the office of High Priest. He and his wife Florence served a 12-month mission together in Raleigh, North Carolina. LuDean worked many years in the Insurance industry, representing Beneficial Life Insurance, as well as many other companies. He was a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and earned many awards over the years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., in the Springville Center Street Chapel, 355 East Center Street, Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah, or friends may call from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday prior to funeral services. She was born Oct. 24, 1951, in Pendleton, Oregon to Max Joseph and Mamie Lee Adams Nielson.Maxine enjoyed sewing, crafts, flowers, and gardening. She will be dearly missed by all. Survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter, R. Gene (Magi) Covington, American Fork; Mike (Michelle) Covington, Santaquin; Rusty (Jodi) Rogers, Provo; Matt (Kathryn) Covington, Santaquin; Shawna (Shane) Warden, Pleasant Grove; 15 grandchildren; 1 brother, Joseph (Sandy) Nielson, Salem; 4 sisters, Elaine (Cary) Thomas, Texas; Joanne Coomes, American Fork; Linda (Ave) Whitner, American Fork; Brenda Redmond, Springville. Wiseman, Joseph Irvin Joseph Irvin Wiseman Joseph Irvin Wiseman passed away peacefully Saturday, June 11, 2005. He was 87 years old. Irv was born May 16, 1918, in Millcreek, Utah, to Ada W. and George Wiseman. He was the fourth of seven children. Irv spent his childhood in Logan and Provo, Utah. He attended Provo High School and Brigham Young University. He met his sweetheart, Marian Patrick of Springville, while the two worked for Geneva Steel. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 17, 1943. Marian was his best friend and treasured companion. The couple welcomed eight children into their home, and delighted in watching their family grow and progress. Irv served in the United States Army as a Tech Sergeant during World War II. He attended Gregg Shorthand Reporting School in Chicago, Illinois, where he became a certified court reporter. Irv worked in the California court system for 30 years, taking all court notations by shorthand. His family lived in Sacramento, Red Bluff, and Redding, California. Irv and Marian retired to Orem, Utah. Irv was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions, including bishop, branch president, and stake president. He enjoyed long walks, BYU football and basketball, gardening, singing, ice skating, current events, cookouts, and family road trips. Irv always had a quick, broad smile for everyone he met. He was wise, caring, and kind. Irv loved and was proud of each member of his family. His family respected him, adored him, and will greatly miss him. Irv is survived by his wife, Marian Wiseman of Orem, Utah, and eight children: Kent (LaVerne) Wiseman of Redding, California; Craig (Karen) Wiseman of Redding, California; Annette (Bob) Morley of Moroni, Utah; Gayle (Ron) Reed of Ririe, Idaho; Don Wiseman of Orem, Utah; Doug (Brenda) Wiseman of Sandy, Utah; Kim Wiseman of Oakland, California; Keri (Paul) Witte of Provo, Utah. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and sisters-in-law Ann Wiseman of Foster City, California, and Ernestine Wiseman of Castro Valley, California. Irv's family conveys many thanks to the caring staff at Orem Nursing and Rehabilitation and Alpine Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the LDS Cherry Hill 7th Ward chapel, 135 E. 2000 S., Orem.
