(Chris) Cleon (Chris) P. Christensen Mapleton, Utah - Cleon (Chris) P. Christensen passed away at his home June 28, 2005 of causes incident to age. Chris, youngest son of Jens and Masena Christensen was born on February 20, 1914 in Ephraim, Utah. He graduated from Provo High School and began working for the Provo Postal Service. It was at this time he met and married the love of his life, Della Greenhalgh. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. Chris retired from the Post office after 33 years of faithful service. Chris drove school bus for a number of years after his retirement. He lived a long life (91 years) and treasured his family. He was a great father and example to his posterity. Chris enjoyed music, sang and played the harmonica and guitar. His hobbies included dancing, fishing, hunting, golfing, reading, camping and farming his small farm in Mapleton. He took great pride in his home and yard. He is survived by his wife Della, son Larry (Diane), daughter Venice (Rulon) Gammon, daughter RaNae (John) Vogel. His youngest son Ronald (Ronnie) preceded him in death. 24 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren also survive him. Chris will be remembered as a "man of his word" and he lived a good, honest life. Funeral services will be held at the Mapleton 7th Ward, 1215 North 1000 West, on Friday, July 1, 2005, at 1 p.m. A viewing will be held at the church prior to services from 11:30 to 12:45.
