She was born April 26, 1958 to Ernest and Colene Smith of Lehi. Ronda attended school, graduating from Lehi High School. She married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Kevin D. Baum on December 8, 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ronda was an excellent homemaker and loved to cook for her family and friends. Her suckers and egg rolls were always a must have when she came for a visit. Ronda will be remembered lovingly as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be missed by her husband Kevin Baum, and 5 children, Michael, Nicole, Candice, Brittany and Alan. And her 3 grandchildren Joshua, Tony and Emma, all of Palmer, Alaska. Her parents Ernest and Colene Smith, of Lehi and siblings Dale (Delores) Smith, Robert (Karen) Smith, Debbie (Steve) Gates, Charlene (Robert) Bough, Art (Janine) Smith, Marc (Marlene) Smith, Todd (Pam) Smith and Laura (Scott) Johnson. Gordon, John Dean "Johnny" John "Johnny" Dean Gordon OREM In loving memory of our husband, our father, grandfather, brother and dear friend John Dean Gordon (Johnny), who passed away in his home. Born on December 13, 1921 to Eliza Boberg and John Henry Gordon of Axtell, Utah, he met his bride in his youth, not long before enlisting in the Navy. He was stationed on the USS St. Louis (The Lucky Lou) and survived the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II. While on leave, he married his love, Kathryn Louise Clark of Provo, on September 5, 1943. He had a burning in his belly for the great outdoors, which was extinguished every time the fresh air hit it, whether it be camping, fishing, hunting or simply in his own garden, where he produced the most exquisite roses. He is already missed and will never be forgotten. She was born June 1, 1916 in Springville, Utah to Edgar Vernon and Sylvia May Hansen Crandall. She married Lenard R. Harward on September 27, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death March 23, 1986. Hortense was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to work. Hortense and her sister Loeen gave many bread and pie demonstrations throughout the county. She loved crafts and quilting projects and was awarded the Silver Thimble from the Utah State Quilt Guild for her contributions to quilting. She is survived by her children: Nan Peery of Morgan Hill, CA; Ron and Jud (Marsha) both of Springville; Jane (Larry) Overman of North Ogden; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, LaMar "Sonny" Crandall; three sisters: Elaine Jackson, Loeen Whiting and Carma Martin; and a sister-in-law, Leah Crandall. Preceded in death by two brothers, Bliss and Ruel Crandall. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 451 South Main in Springville. Henstrom, Martha Carolyn Adams Martha Carolyn Adams Henstrom, 67, passed away peacefully after a struggle with cancer on May 2, 2005, at her home in Provo, UT. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend she will be sorely missed by those left behind. Born on Dec. 22, 1937, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Paul Monroe and Louise Cruikshank Adams. She began a life that would bless everyone she knew. She spent her early years in Delta, UT. returning to Montpelier when she was twelve. Martha graduated from Montpelier High School, 1955, and then from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in 1959 & M.A. in 1962, in Drama/Speech and a minor in English. She was active in plays, several BYU movies, and voice recordings for Radio, TV, and books. Martha won the Best Actress award for two years at BYU. She married Richard Henry Henstrom on June 17th, 1960, in the Salt Lake Temple. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she blessed children, young women, women and others with her leadership assignments. Martha and her husband recently served a full time mission at the Provo MTC. She served diligently in many other callings. Martha was a former President of BYU Women on two occasions and PTA president a number of times in local schools. She was a renaissance woman gifted in acting, singing, sewing, quilting, crafts, teaching and many other areas. Martha's music gifts were a blessing to both children and adults. Her quick wit always brought a smile. She served others constantly in a home that was open to all. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Judson, Donovan Clair Donovan Clair Judson Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Donovan Clair Judson, age 82, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at his home in Payson, surrounded by is loving wife and children. He was born January 17, 1923, in Lamoni, Iowa, the youngest of 5 children of Arthur Richard and Maud Olsen Judson. He was raised and educated in Corpus Christi, Texas, graduating at the top of his class. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He met his sweetheart, Betty J. Johnson during the war, and they were married December 20, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Donovan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including Bishop of the 1st Ward and counselor in the Corpus Christi, Texas Stake. These were great blessings to him. He was a great example to his family and all who knew him. Donovan was skilled in many crafts and occupations, working at Douglas Aircraft in California, as an airplane mechanic, a machinist and engineer at the Naval Air Station in Corpus, Christi, Texas; farming; and a restaurnteur. Dad enjoyed flying airplanes, hunting and fishing, and reading. Dad instilled the value of hard work and letting nothing go to waste. He could find use for just about everything. He is survived by: his wife, of 60 years; 4 daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Clarkson; Shirley Campbell; Donna (Chris) Huber; Lori Judson; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Zest Judson, Teloir Binz; Ilene Busby; a brother, Ralph Judson; and a son-in-law, Barry Campbell. Paxman "Together Again" Ronald Eugene Paxman, 93, of Spanish Fork, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Art City Nursing and Rehab Center in Springville. He was born on February 18, 1912 in Springville, the son of Thomas Burdell and Clara Jean Beardall Paxman. He married Mary Jane Gull on September 29, 1934 in Springville. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 22, 1952. She passed away on March 10, 1995. Ronald attended schools in Silver City and Springville. He worked for the Spanish Fork Foundry, M.R. Taylors Furniture, and at U.S. Steel. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as financial clerk in the High Priest Quorum. Survivors include three daughters: Jean (Lee) Rieske of Spanish Fork, Janet (LaMonte) Whitehead of Spanish Fork, Shirley (John) Titcomb of Heber City; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emily Campbell of Reno, Nevada. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Auleen Dumas and LaVern Bryan; three brothers: Bill, Frank, and Dean; and two great-grandchildren, Dusty and Garrett. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 19th Ward Chapel, 591 North Main, Spanish Fork. Taylor, Zonna Sheen Zonna Sheen Taylor, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Zonna was born December 13, 1915 in Salem, Utah to George William and Elma Violet Sheen. Zonna was the youngest of four children. She married Clawson H. Taylor on October 29, 1934. She lived her entire life in Salem. Zonna operated Zon's Caf in Salem for a number of years. She worked for 14 years in the Morris Center Cafeteria at BYU. After she retired, she served a mission at the Provo Temple as an ordinance worker. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family. Despite living the last years of her life with complications from a stroke, she remained cheerful and continually expressed thanks to those around her, her "angels." Her faith in God was a great example to her family and all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Zonna is survived by her daughters: Kaye Elde (Byron), Sharon Roderick, Nancy Law (Lloyd); 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Clawson; son, Gale Clawson; and daughter, Elma Jackson. Funeral services will be Friday, May 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Knoll Park Ward LDS Chapel, 460 West SR 198 in Salem. Wolf Jr., Ernest Willy (Bill) "Back with Evy" Ernest Willy (Bill) Wolf, Jr. age 79, died May 3, 2005 at the home of his daughter in Spanish Fork from complications of cancer. He was born September 17, 1925 in Eureka, Utah to Ernest Willy Wolf, Sr. and Rosalie Kratzer. He married Evy Johannesen March 31, 1956. She passed away January 5, 1990. Our beloved grandfather has gone to be with our grandmother again. As a grandfather, father, brother, uncle and friend he leaves behind many who loved him and will miss him dearly. He was proud to be a boy scout, a veteran in the Army Air Force and a member of the Utah Cattleman's Association. He liked to travel with his wife, our grandma, Evy. Their last trip together was to Norway to visit grandma's family. As president of the Triangle Ranch, Inc. in Goshen, Utah, he was an incredible rancher. He transformed desert into oasis at "Cow Hollow". His greatest achievement, however, was being the greatest grandpa in the world. Grandpa, we will sorely miss going out west with you, going on trips with you, going to the movies, and especially having you come to stay at our house. We love you Grandpa! He is survived by two daughters, Anna-Marie (Dwayne) Bass, Spanish Fork, Christine Wolf, Lindon; three grandchildren, Sara, Will and Yvonne; two brothers, Carl Wolf, Buck Wolf, both of Goshen; and two sisters, Rosalie Oates, Ashland, Oregon, Carolyn Miles, Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Casper. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Goshen LDS Chapel.
