She was born on April 21, 1919, in Emery County, Utah to Boas and Catherine Christianson Anderson. She married E. Dean Flint on April 3, 1942. Blanche served her country as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II, and has faithfully served the Lord as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having been called to many positions including Relief Society President and Theology Instructor, and served two missions, to Florida and North Carolina. She is survived by her son, Edward D. (Diana) Flint, grandchildren Benjamin, Stephanie and David Flint, great-grandson, Cody Fortner; her brother Raymond G. (Sally) Anderson, sisters, Katherine (Calvert) Ivie, Mary (Scott) Shephard, and Margaret (Robert) Harker, special daughter-in-law, Jolyn (Dennis) Dickerson, and hundreds of cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families, and the thousands whose lives were touched by her Christian compassion. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Rosetta Dahle, Helen Mason, Ruby Marinelli, Edward Anderson, and her husband of 43 years, E. Dean Flint, who passed away twenty years ago on the same date, May 9, 1985. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Cannon Eighth Ward Chapel, 1250 W. 1400 S., Salt Lake City at 12:00 Noon. Viewing prior to services from 10 a.m. to noon at the chapel and on Wednesday Evening, May 11 at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S. from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Interment: Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 5/11/2005. Nelson, Aleisa Anderson Aleisa Anderson Nelson Aleisa Anderson Nelson, 31, of Pleasant Grove passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 7, 2005 at her home. She was born June 16, 1973 in American Fork to Edward and Janell Blackhurst Anderson. She married Sterling Nelson on February 21, 1998 in Pleasant Grove. Aleisa grew up in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1990. She received a B. A. in Education from Southern Utah University. Aleisa was a dedicated sixth grade teacher at Highland Elementary School and had a great love and influence on many young lives. Aleisa's greatest joy was being a mother to her two young children, Jackson, age 6 and McKennah, 18 months. Aleisa was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband Sterling, Pleasant Grove; her two children; parents Ed and Janell Anderson, Highland; siblings, Angie, Highland; Chad (Annie) Anderson, Orem; Andrea (Jason) Milne, Fayetteville, AK; grandparents: Don and Bonnie Anderson, Lindon and Zola Blackhurst, Highland; niece, Tashlyn and nephews, Devyn and Hayden. Stutz, Jennifer Griffith Jennifer Griffith Stutz Our beloved Jennifer Griffith Stutz passed away the 5th of May, 2005. She was born January 19th, 1978 in Provo, Utah. After enduring many of life's struggles, it was her time to return to her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Stutz. Jennifer is survived by her three children, Melissa, Gage, and Garrett; her mother Collette; raising-father, Randy Conklin; father Roy Griffith; and grandparents Verl and Sharon Brimhall and Nancy Ann Myer Campbell. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview 1st Ward, 1700 North Geneva Road, Provo. Thomas James Waldo Thomas, 52, passed from this earthly life back to the arms of his mother on Mother's Day, May 8, 2005 from unexpected complications of pneumonia. Jim was born January 31, 1953 in Spanish Fork to Waldo and Emma Rigtrup Thomas. He grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School and Utah Valley College. He married Leona Nielsen and they had a daughter, Emilee. They were later divorced. He married Sheila Schmall and they had two children, Sierra and Marcus. They were later divorced. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and he was a person who gave all he could to others. He was not one to find fault with others and seldom held a grudge. He had a rocky road in life losing his father at age 10, thus he and his mom had a special bond. He was her little Jimmy, and now she is welcoming him home. Jim is survived by Sierra, Marcus and Emilee Thomas (children), Larry Neilsen and Titia (Carl) Grigg (stepchildren), Crystal Grigg (grand-daughter), his brother George R. Thomas, his sister Sally (Reed) Nelson and Teena Wernig (special friend and cousin). He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be on Friday May 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork. Tingey, Laurel Batty Laurel Batty Tingey Laurel Batty Tingey, 55, of Bluffdale passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born June 13, 1949 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Blaine and Ileen Rasband Batty. She married Brice Adams and together had two children. They were later divorced. She married Val Tingey on July 25, 1998 in Lindon. Laurel grew up in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She is survived by her husband Val of Bluffdale; children: Abraham (Hillary) Adams, Payson and Belinda (Jared) Senior, Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; father, Blaine (JoAnn) Batty, Wallsburg; two sisters, Norma Harrison, AZ; Janeale (Kelly) Christiansen, AZ; three brothers, Doyle (Karen) Batty, Orem; Roy (Sandra) Batty, Spanish Fork; Layne (Peggy) Batty, Payson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ileen and brothers, Glade Newell and Garth W. Batty. Wagoner, Joan Kelly Joan Kelly Wagoner Joan Kelly Wagoner of Springville UT passed away on April 23, 2005 in Apple Valley CA after years of enduring a long and painful illness. She was born in Springville June 3, 1936 to Paul and Mary Spafford Kelly. She graduated from Springville High School in 1954 where she was a mighty Red Devil cheerleader. Joan was a faithful Red Devil fan to her last day. Joan was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Her family meant everything. She was always there to lend a helping hand, give advice, tell a bad "club" joke, or just sit and listen. She will be surely missed, but will live forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Joan is survived by her husband Alan B. Wagoner of Apple Valley CA, 4 children, David (Darcie) Allan of Oak City UT, Jeff (Kim) Allan of Keller TX, Jaimie (Robb) Shipp of Apple Valley CA. and Chad (Paige) Allan of Provo UT, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Bud (Myrtle) Lowe of Stafford AZ, sister Marie Barrett of Springville UT, sister Pauline (Don) Farrer of Provo UT, brother George (Jan) Kelly of St. George UT, and sister-in-law Shirleen Lowe of Springville UT. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Mary Kelly, and a brother Jay Lowe. Joan's body was cremated on April 27, 2005 in Apple Valley. Wilkins, Jeremy John Jeremy John Wilkins Jeremy John Wilkins, 30, of Pleasant Grove passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005. He was born March 16, 1975 in American Fork, Utah to Larry and Deborah Moffitt Wilkins. He married MaryAnn Barnett and they were later divorced. Together they had a beautiful daughter Jaden who was the light of Jeremy's life. Jeremy grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended school there. He worked as a Computer Network Engineer and had a passion for computers and all technology. He is survived by his daughter Jaden; mother, Deborah Wilkins, Pleasant Grove; siblings: Brandon (Tammy) Wilkins, Pleasant Grove; Ryan (Melinda) Wilkins, Beaver; and Tyler (Natalie) Wilkins, Eagle Mountain. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
