Ryan J. Bunker 1979-2005 Ryan Jensen Bunker, age 25, passed away May 23, 2005 in Conway, SC, due to injuries sustained in an airplane accident. He was born December 28, 1979 in Monticello, Utah to David Bruce Bunker and Nedra Jensen Bunker. Ryan graduated from Monticello High School in 1998. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the England Manchester Mission from 1999-2001. He married Melanie Lynn Larson on November 17, 2001 in the St. George, LDS Temple. He received his Commercial Pilot Certification as well as Instrument Rating, Multi Engine Rating and several Flight and Ground Instructor ratings in St. George and Mesa, AZ. He was to receive his Bachelors Degree in Aviation Science from Utah Valley State College in the Fall of 2005. Ryan received a CNC Machinist Certificate from Southern Utah University and worked at RAM Company in 2001. He was currently employed as a pilot instructor for Sky Signs in South Carolina. Ryan was ambitious, goal oriented and organized. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, motorcycling, traveling, woodworking, and being with family. Flying was his passion. Ryan is survived by his wife, Melanie, parents Bruce and Nedra Bunker, sisters Tamra Lewis (Kurt), Julie Holt (Clayton), brothers Brad (Julie), Preston (Ashley), grandparents Elwood Bunker, and LaVerda Jensen. He is also survived by Melanie's parents John and Jennifer Larson and her sisters Amber Southwick (BJ), Heidi Larson and Haylee Larson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 1:00 PM in the Main Street Chapel, in Monticello, Utah. Internment will be in the Monticello Cemetery. Burgess, Ross Clark Ross Clark Burgess "Together Forever" Our father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather Ross Clark Burgess, 89, passed away May 25, 2005. He was born March 29, 1916 in Alpine, Utah to Edward W Burgess and Inez Thurza Clark. He married his eternal sweetheart, of 65 years, Erma Atwood, Oct 16, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ross was an active member of the LDS Church and a very talented, hard worker all his life. He was always busy with church, farming or community involvement. He loved horseshoes, basketball and playing his saxophone. He served in the Eastern States/New England Mission and performed/helped in the first Hill Cumorah Pageant. He served as Alpine Ward MIA President, one of 7 Presidents of the Alpine Stake Seventies Quorum, Alpine Stake Mission President, High Council Member and ward choir/music president. He farmed for his father, for himself and worked at Geneva Steel as an electrician. Ross served on the Alpine City Board of Adjustments, Farm Bureau President, President of Alpine Irrigation Co., and Alpine Water Board for many years. He is survived by children, Bonna (Kent) Hanson of Alpine; Sharyn (Art) Hughes of Green River; Craig (Larna) Burgess of Mona; Mark (Rebecca) Burgess of Sandy; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Ula (Robert) Hemingway of Alpine; brother Van (Joann) Burgess of Alpine. Preceded in death by parents and wife Erma Atwood. Funeral will be Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Mountainville Church, 165 E 100 N, Alpine. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial Alpine City Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the Heritage Care Center for their loving care. Sheeley, LaVerne Hone LaVerne Hone Sheeley LaVerne Hone Sheeley, 83, of Orem, died April 25, 2005, in Provo. She was born December 28, 1921, a daughter of George W. And Emma LaDell Beardall Hone in Springville, Utah. She married Mark John Sheeley October 4, 1940, in Pocatello, Idaho. LaVerne won seventeen state trophies for her handwork in crochet. She was a state leader in 4H. She played the piano and the organ in church for many years. She was a quilter and a seamstress; she quilted and donated 47 quilts to Primary Children's Hospital. Volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. Survivors include her husband Mark John Sheeley of 65 years, her two daughters, Karol (Vaughn) Gourley, Claudette (Michael) Bishop both of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7.5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cascade Chapel at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Tanner, David Roy David Roy Tanner David Roy Tanner, age 50 of Sandy, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2005 of heart failure. He was born October 27, 1954 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Roy L. and Verlaine Larsen Tanner. At the time of his death, David was employed as a Registered Nurse at Mountain View Hospital, something he worked hard to achieve and thoroughly enjoyed. David was a very compassionate and loving son, father, brother and grandfather. He loved spending time in the outdoors, riding his four-wheeler and traveling. He is survived by many loving family members who will miss him dearly. Family and friends will gather for graveside services on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
