She was born September 12, 1916 in Eagar, Arizona to Amasa Owen and Minnie Lee Reynolds. Thora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas Ira Adair; sisters Lucinda Reynolds and Twylah Butler; brothers Orvil Reynolds, H L. Reynolds and Rex Reynolds; and her son-in-law Lance Pilkington. Thora is survived by her sisters Ecco Udall and Evelyn Hulsey; her daughters Gayle (Dean) Conant and Guin Pilkington; 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Thora grew up in Luna, New Mexico where she received her early education. She attended high school in Eagar. Much like her husband, she received the rest of her education from books and life. She never quit learning and teaching. Thora married Thomas Adair on March 15, 1938 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They made their home in Luna and then in Provo until Tom's death on May 27, 1983. Thora was never employed outside the home, but never stopped working in it. She loved to crochet, quilt, sew, cook, garden, read and care for home and family. She served a family history mission for the L.D.S. Church in Salt Lake from July 1991 92 where her life-long love for family history was put to full time use. For many years she worked in the Provo Temple and continued serving there long after having been released. Her life was dedicated to serving others, her family, the church and any in need. She showed us all how to work and how to love. We love and miss her. We'll be celebrating her life on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call on Thursday evening at the mortuary from 6 until 8, and on Friday 1 hour prior to funeral services. Interment will follow in the Provo City Cemetery. Hodges, Jordan James Jordan James Hodges, age 23, passed quietly away at home in Pacific Grove, Sunday October 30, 2005. Jordan was born July 14, 1982 in San Jose, California to Kallee Ann Hodges and Charles Kenneth Hodges. Jordan attended Pleasant Grove High School and then served his country in the U. S. Army. After his release he moved to Lakeport, California to become a special care giver for the disabled. He had a special talent for loving and caring for the less fortunate and lonely. He was currently employed at the Utah State Developmental Center and was a valued and well liked employee. Jordan was a talented guitarist and played with bands in both California and Utah. He loved music and spent his free time composing, writing and playing. Jordan is survived by his mom and dad, Kallee Ann Harvey Rodriguez and Robert Joe Rodriguez and Charles Kenneth Hodges along with his grandparents, Stan and Dawn Harvey, Petra and Joe Rodriguez and Leonard McCovey and Margaret Monroe, the Hodges family, brothers and sister, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November, 4th at 11:00 am in the LDS Chapel at 1250 E. 200 S. in Pleasant Grove. A viewing will be held Thursday evening November 3rd from 6-8 pm at the church and Friday one hour prior to the service. Internment will be held in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 11/2/2005. Larsen, Don Hansen 1939-2005 Don Hansen Larsen, 66, of Spring Lake a loving husband, "Pa", uncle, and friend passed away November 1, 2005. He was born in Provo, Utah the youngest of 12 children on April 15, 1939 to George Neils and Jennie Hansen Larsen. He graduated from Provo High School and attended BYU and served his country in the National Guard. He married the love of his life, Tamara Anne Robertson November 10, 1961. They had two loving children, Chad and Kimberly. He loved wood working, gardening, fly fishing, and the outdoors. Don was a warm-hearted, fun-loving man that enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. He will be loved and missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tamara, his two children Chad (Marti) Larsen of West Jordan, and Kimberly (Mike) Carson of Payson, and by five grandchildren. Loveridge, Elaine Putman Our Mom, Elaine Loveridge, died on October 31, 2005 at her home in Lake Shore. Mom was born on December 30, 1935 in Park City to Ruby Ryan Putman and Rollo Putman. She married Leo Wardell on December 30, 1953 in Salt Lake City. They lived in Center Creek for many years. They were later divorced. She married Lynn Loveridge in May 1980 and raised his three youngest sons as her own. They later divorced in 2001. Like her mother before her, Mom was a hard worker and an example of sacrifice and independence. She worked all of her adult life. She graduated from Utah Trade Tech in Nursing and worked at Wasatch County Hospital for several years before moving to Payson and working at Mountain View Hospital in the nursery until her retirement in 1998. She loved all of her friends at Mountain View Hospital dearly. After retirement, Mom couldn't sit still. She worked for a short time at Payson Rehab and then as a Foster Grandparent at Barnett School until her death. She loved every one of the kids she ever dealt with. She remembered their names and all the particulars that made each one of them special. Mom loved animals and always had several pets to keep her company. She is survived by her kids, James and Darcy Wardell, Wells NV; Sandi and Jim Christiansen, West Jordan; Cindy and Jay Bird, Bluebell; Alan and Teresa Wardell, Heber, Scott Wardell, Duchesne County, Patty and Dennis Long, Lake Shore, and her three stepsons, Lynn and Lorie Loveridge, Payson; Guy Loveridge, Santaquin; and Brian Loveridge, Payson. Mom had twenty grand children, 11 great-grand children, all who knew her affectionately as "Grandma Lovey". She is also survived by Betty and Paul Williams, Ogden; Don and Judy Putman, Park City; Boyd Putman, Ogden and many dear friends, including Flo and all the Bunco Broads, and a special older stepson Robert and Tina Loveridge, Carlin NV. She was preceded in death by her Mom, Dad, twin brother Wayne, and baby brother and sister Ray and Sharron. Ney, Gloria Ann "Our Sweet Joy" On October 30, 2005, Our Lord opened his arms and took our sweet Gloria home--Away from her many years of suffering. Even though she was in pain most of the time, she had a genuine love and interest in people. She loved talking and getting to know everyone around her. Gloria was born on March 22, 1942 in Lumberton, New Mexico to Henry and Emma Martinez. She married Dennis Ney and they later divorced. They had one child, Denice Ney-Lugo. Denice blessed her mother's life by giving her six beautiful grandchidren that she loved spending time with, and spoiling each one. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, her Father, Henry Martinez of Provo; Daughter, Denice Ney (Arturo) Lugo of Provo; Six grandchildren, Job, Jamin, Jordan, Destiny, Anthony & Mylena of Provo; Sister, Lilly (Larry) Harrington of Castle Dale; Brother, Danny Martinez of Provo; Sister/Niece, Desi (Michael) Schnebly of Provo. She helped raise three nieces Teresa Lowe, Cuca Silva, & Maria Sunder, as her own. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Emma Martinez; three sisters, Esther, Henrietta, & Dolores & baby brother Henry (Hanky). Memorial Services for Gloria will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at St. Frances Catholic Church, 65 East 500 North in Orem. Rest now "Sweet Gloria" and suffer no more. Paul was born in Provo, Utah September 23, 1928, to Karl and Alice Sutherland Scherer. He attended Provo City schools, graduating from Provo High School in 1946, graduated from BYU I 1950. Paul served his country in the US Air Force. He was still working for Olympic Packaging in Southern, California, where he has lived for 50 years. Paul was an avid golfer and loved music; Paul was a Mason in good standing and was the first state master counselor in Utah for The Order of DeMolay. He was preceded in death several weeks ago by his brother Fred. He is survived by sister Majorie (Ira) Gagon, sister in-law Marbra Scherer and sister Norma (Bob) Rampton. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends who all call him Uncle Paul. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Berg Mortuary 185 East Center St., Provo, UT. Born January 29, 1984 in Provo, Utah the son of Greg and Shauna Cox, Dan Walker. Shaun is known as a carefree loving person who never shied away from sharing or giving his time to everyone. He loved working on cars, drawing, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends. Survived by parents, a brother and 5 sisters: Danielle and his niece Lexi, Tonya, Shanelle, Shantel, Janelle, and Justan; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 1st Ward, 380 South 300 East. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North, Am.
