He joined his beautiful lady, Estella Faye Haskell Caras today in a grand reunion of love and happiness forever and ever. Earnest was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Sorensen and Angel Caras, a brother Franklin A. Caras, and a sister Sofia Caras Buckmiller. He is survived by 4 children: Gerald A. Caras of Payson; Terry Earnest Caras of Craig, Colorado; Colleen Caras Hatfield of Springville; and Angela Caras Medlyn of Ely, Nevada. 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was sheep man of the year and he loved fast pitch softball. He was the catcher and Merril Beckstrom was his pitcher. The two of them made a great pair. He was in the Benjamin riding club for many years, enjoyed calf roping and rode in many parades. He had a cutting horse that he spent many enjoyable times riding and competing with. He loved all horses and being able to take care of them. He loved to fish, but really didn't catch any. He appreciated and loved people, especially loved his family and friends. We know he will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Benjamin Ward Chapel, 3278 West 7300 South, Benjamin. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walker Mortuary of Spanish Fork, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork and Wednesday one hour prior to the services. Dean, Ronald Leland Ron passed away peaceably at home on Nov. 6, 2005. He was born on March 4, 1915 in Beaver, UT, the son of Leland and Leona Dean. Ron was involved in many pursuits during his life until he went to work for Provo City Power, where he spent 35 years serving the residents of Provo City. He would arise early every morning, look out to see if the lights were on. That meant the day was starting out all right. He served the last 18 years as Superintendent over seeing much new growth, before retiring in 1977. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and neighbor. He would be the first to help anyone who needed help. For many years he enjoyed the winters in Arizona and made friends very easily. Ron really enjoyed it when family and friends came to visit especially the little children and he seemed to slip them a dollar bill. It gave him great pleasure to see their faces light up. Ron enjoyed a special relationship with his colleagues and friends going to lunch and keeping up on what was going on in their lives for over 50 years. Ron married his sweetheart Merle Davis in 1935, who preceded him in death in 1971. He then married his current sweetheart JoAnn Carroll Davis in 1972. Ron is survived by his helpmate JoAnn; his two daughters Marilyn Dean (Philip) Rowe, Irene Dean Remund; his stepdaughter Kathy (Bill) Bagley; 15 grandchildren, 32 great- grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Colleen Dean Hatch. He was preceded in death by his parent's, two brothers, and two sisters. Hardman, Charlie Grandpa Charlie Hardman 84, of Orem passed away, November 5, 2005 following a short illness. He was born August 24, 1921 in American Fork, Utah to Charles Hardman and Jennie Binns Hardman. He graduated from American Fork High School, and worked on the family farm before going into the armed forces in WWII. He married Catherine Meldrum February 14th, 1944. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, with their children in 1957. He was a master meat cutter. He worked for different businesses prior to opening his own business "Charlies Meat Can't Be Beat" in Orem. He retired at age 73, but not really!, not until 6 weeks ago. He worked with the Utah County Search and Rescue for 30 years and organized the local Utah Deer Sams. He enjoyed camping, cooking, helping everyone, going to Canyon Lands, and being the best grandpa any kid could ever have. He loved to make ice cream for his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, his son Gaylen (Mary) Hardman, of Lindon; his daughter Charline (Phil) Reid of Salt Lake City; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, all siblings and grandson, Dusty Hardman. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 10th 2005, at 1 p.m. in the Sharon 3rd Ward Chapel at 445 South 700 East Orem, Utah. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah and from 11:45 to 12:45 at the church, prior to service. Isaacson, Betty Jean Pulham Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister returned to her Heavenly Father November 6, 2005, with her family by her side. She fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born April 29, 1928 to Archibald and Essie Pulham in Costa Mesa, California. She was the sixth of seven children. Her childhood was spent in Glendale, California. Her family moved to Orem when she was a young teenager, but she never outgrew her love of the ocean. Betty graduated from Lincoln High School. She married her high-school sweetheart, Leon Isaacson, May 24, 1946 in Orem. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Betty loved being with her husband, surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family camp-outs, parties and get-togethers were a treasured part of her life. She leaves a legacy of traditions, all centered around the family. She enjoyed spending the winter months in St. George with her husband and made many long-lasting friendships with other "snowbirds". Betty had a special love of San Diego, where she and Leon spent many memorable vacations, where she loved walking on the beach, listening to the surf, and gathering seashells. She was a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting, watercolors, china painting, and making porcelain dolls. She enjoyed sharing her talent with others as a teacher. She taught porcelain dolls, sewing lessons and many other hobbies to those around her. She made many crocheted tablecloths, wedding dresses, quilts and blessing gowns, and entered them in the State Fair, where she won many blue ribbons and sweepstake awards. Many enjoyable hours were also spent quilting with her friends in St. George. Betty was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. Some of her callings included assignments in the Relief Society, Mutual (Young Women's), Cub Scouts, and Ward Girls Camp Director. Though she faced many trials during the last years of her life, her testimony never wavered. She faced her challenges with a prayer in her heart and a smile on her face. She is survived by her devoted husband, Leon Isaacson, four children, Mel (Sherrie) Isaacson of West Jordan, Dr. Ed (Marcia) Isaacson of Alpine, Patty (Rick) Robinson of West Jordan, and Judy (Dale) Ainge of Orem; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with two additional great-grandchildren on the way; two brothers, Ken (Dona) Pulham and Reese (Marilyn) Pulham, both from Orem; brother-in-law Merlin (Carol) Isaacson; sisters-in-law Carole (Blaine) Cordner and Arlene (LeRoy) Watkins. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard and Charles Pulham; and sisters Faye Lunceford and Evelyn Frandsen. The family sincerely thanks the numerous doctors, nurses, neighbors and friends who have helped Betty in so many kind and generous ways. A special thanks goes to IHC Hospice, especially Vickie Hardman, for the special care and assistance during her last days. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek West Stake Center at 555 South 600 East in Springville. Kitson, Peter Scott Peter Scott Kitson passed away peacefully in Brisbane, Australia on November 2, 2005 at the age of 83 years. He was born to Eugene Henry Kitson and Mary Gladys Scott on February 16, 1922 in Adelaide Sth. Aust. He was a veteran of WWII, Sgt. 2nd A.I.F., served in Alice Springs and Borneo for three and one half years. He retired Aust. Post-Reg. mail room. Survived by his wife Lesley, Brisbane; daughters Juel (Tony) Seow, Orem, Pauline Kitson (Peter Marshall) Sydney, six grandchildren, Jared (Billie) Seow, Orem, Leah (Brig) Lambert, Highland, Naomi (Mickay) Robinson, Lindon, Josh (Mandy) Seow, Mapleton, Miriam (Troy) Kallas, Folsom, CA, Deborah (Trevor) Gillman, American Fork; and 22 great-grandchildren. Mason, Jacqueline R. Heber City, Utah - Our precious wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend Jacqueline (Jacque) R. Mason left her earthly residence to return to her family in heaven on Saturday, November 5, 2005. She was born in Gorgoza, Utah May 22, 1930. Daughter of Osmond and Stella Rasmussen. Married George Mason September 23, 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming. Jacque was raised on the farm in Gorgoza, attended school in Park City, loved to ride horses, skied at "Ecker Hill". Moved to Tooele, Utah in 1951, and worked at Tooele Army Depot until George retired in 1965. After that she moved to Heber where she has resided since. While in Heber, Jacque owned a ceramic shop where she and her daughter made and sold ceramics. Jacque loved to be outdoors and never let the opportunity to go to the mountains pass. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She always had time for the nieces and nephews and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren with whom she always enjoyed sharing time with. She was a great seamstress and hand made custom cloths for all her family. Jacque is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, George Mason, Stepson: Garold (Cheryl) Mason of Salt Lake City, Son: Edward (Deanna) Mason of Heber, Daughter: Deanna (Don) Pesicka of Heber, 10 grandchildren. 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at 2 PM in the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 N. Main.
