She was born June 9, 1926, in Castle Gate, Utah, to Arnold W. and Bessie Robertson Snow. She married Melvin Suel Bushman on November 22, 1950, in the Manti LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Spanish American Mission, Western States, 1947-1949. She served in many church callings, including Primary and Relief Society Presidencies, Primary and Relief Society teachers and the Stake Primary Presidency, with very special friends. She served many years in the PTA, as president at Joaquin Elementary School and Provo City PTA. Her favorite things were making chocolates for Christmas, crocheting, reading, making quilts, and serving others. She was a very special "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved being with them. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Stephen M. (Cindy) Bushman, of Provo, UT; Melanie (Cory) Loveless, of Ft. Bridger, WY; and Melissa (John) Mitchell, of Provo, UT; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Arnolene (Norm) Anderson, of Provo, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Grandview 17th Ward Chapel, 1122 N. Grand Ave, Provo. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street, as well as Monday morning, at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and doctors at UVRMC, Orem Nursing and Rehab, and Alpine Hospice for the loving care that she received there. Published in the Daily Herald on 11/11/2005. Davis, Russell Wayne Russell Wayne Davis of Springville, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at the age of 90 surrounded by family. He was born in a log cabin in Salem, Utah, on September 18, 1915, a son of William Levi and Anna Eliza Petersen Davis. He married Roma Tuttle in the Salt Lake Temple on November 4, 1946. During World War II, he served his country in the Pacific as a front-line medic and surgical technician.He worked many jobs throughout his life but spent hislast 20 years working at the BYU Physical Plant, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed manyhobbiesincluding spending time with his family, camping, fishing, deer hunting and wood working. He always could be counted on to help others with any project presented to him. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Russell is survived by his children, Lynda Wycherley (Ed), Jean Jepsen (Dan), Kathleen Day (Ralph),and Wayne Davis;eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, brothers, sisters, and two granddaughters. Services will be Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 11:30 am in the Hobble Creek West 1st WardChapel, 550 South 600 East, Springville. God gives them to us for just a little while and then gathers them away. The angels gathered our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend away on November 7, 2005. Blake loved life and lived to travel and explore mountains, canyons, ancient ruins, books, Red Rock Country and sandy beaches. Blake attended school in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He attended and graduated from the Police Academy in 1993. Blake was employed in managerial positions in the audio and automotive field during his working years. He was living in Bloomington, Utah, and employed by Steven Wade Auto in Saint George, Utah, at the time of his death. Blake is survived by his wife Teri; beloved daughters: Mattie Larsen, of Saint George, UT; and Mrs. Adam Snider (Jennifer), of Heber, UT; grandson, Kolby; mother, Carolyn Schmidt, of Salt Lake City, UT; sisters: Mrs. David Peay (Tammy), of Spanish Fork, UT; Mrs. Victor Dellagnola (Stacy), of Salt Lake City, UT; and by Sid Larsen, mother of Mattie, Saint George, UT; nephews: Jared Peay, and wife, Alicia, with their daughter, Haylie; Kyle Peay and Wyatt Peay. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the Walker Mortuary of Spanish Fork, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork. Taylor, Alta McEwan Alta McEwan Taylor, age 93, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 9th, 2005. Alta was born January 27th,1912 in Knightville, Utah. She was the oldest of six children born to William C. McEwan and Myrtle Royal McEwan. She attended Jr. High in Goshen Utah then returned to Provo to graduate from BY High. She Married to John W. "Bun" Taylor on June 3 1930 in Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and served in various capacities through out her life. She was very talented in homemaking skills. She excelled in cooking, crocheting, sewing, knitting, needlepoint and ceramics. She served as the stake homemaking leader for several years and shared her talents. She worked in the temple with her husband for three years. She is proceeded in death by her parents, and husband; John W. Taylor; sisters June, Bernice and brothers; Bill and Bryce. She is survived by her sons Jon (Sylvia) Taylor, Mark (Susan) Taylor, daughters; Carol (Bud) Bonnett; Elaine(Jack) Hattaway, Teresa (Craig) Miller, and 24 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Wiscombe, Mae James Together Again Mae James Wiscombe passed away on November 7, 2005. She was born on August 24, 1908 to William Reese James and Charlotte Jane Evans in Provo, Utah. She married Ralph W. Wiscombe, December 29, 1925, who passed away in 1985. She is survived by her daughters Dawna Ridge ofNewport Beach, CA and Nancy Dove of Leeds, UT. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Nadine Bigelow. Mae spent most of her life in Provo and was a Pink Lady at Utah Valley Hospital. She was a wonderful cook (her famous potato salad) and a beautiful seamstress. She loved to crochet and made afghans for everyone. She had a great sense of humor and loved people. After Ralph and Mae sold their business, Ralph's Radio and TV, they moved to California where they worked in apartment management. After Ralph's death, Mae continued to work until she was 82. She then retiredto St George to be near her family. Mae has thirteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and nineteen great, great grandchildren. We will miss you Mother and "Granny". Wood, Anneliese Bitter 12/30/80 ~ 11/8/05 Anneliese Bitter Wood of Orem, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2005, after a long battle with cancer which she ultimately won because of her unbreakable spirit. She lived her life full of love and happiness to the end. She loved learning and graduated from high school Summa Cum Laude and college Magna Cum Laude. Because of her desire to help people, she continued her education and received a Master of Social Work Degree. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she loved serving with the young women in her ward and ha! d a faith building relationship with them. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas J Wood, daughter, Allison Rebecca Wood, mother, Rebecca Schofield Bitter, father, Douglas Bennion Bitter, sisters, Jennie Bitter (Christian) Marchant, Emily Bitter (Laramie) Taylor, Melissa Bitter, Natalie Bitter, brother, Michael Bitter, and aunt, Shirlene Schofield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Orem Northridge Stake Center, 1660 North 200 West, Orem.
