Howard L Bowers, 75, died Mon., November 14, 2005 in Provo, Utah. Howard was born March 1, 1930 in Kamas, Utah; the son of Wreno and Eva Lewis Bowers. He graduated from Provo High School and from Brigham Young University. He married Joy Arrowsmith July 12, 1951. The marriage was solemnized August 16, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joy died February 12, 1988. He married Patricia Moody White October 4, 1994. Patricia died September 3, 1995. He was a member of the Bonneville 3rd Ward, Provo Bonneville Stake and was a Provo Temple ordinance worker. Howard worked in the iron foundry industry. He worked for EIMCO Mining Machinery Co., and for Brest Van Kempen & Associates, Inc., developing and field testing underground mining equipment. Family include: four sons, Michael A. Bowers (Christine), Arlington, VA, Benje H. Bowers, Springville, UT, Jonathan T. Bowers (Doneil), Kaaawa, HI, and Thomas C. Bowers-deceased; four grandchildren; seven step-children; and 37+ step-grandchildren; siblings, Norma Bowers Wright (Don), Draper, UT, Lois Bowers Sproul (Kay deceased), Draper, UT, Richard L Bowers (Linda), Salt Lake City, UT, and Nada Bowers Bailie-deceased (Ron), Seattle, WA. Guest Book Flowers Charities Bradshaw, Robert Robert Bradshaw Robert Covington Bradshaw, 73, of Orem, died November 15, 2005 in Provo. He was born June 5, 1932 a son of Samuel and Meriam Ellen Covington Bradshaw in Orem, Utah. Robert sang in the Medelssohn Chorus for over 40 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in various positions, the latest being Librarian. Robert went on a building mission from 1964-1966 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and built cabinets. Survivors include his siblings: Mae Beth Bradshaw Luke, Kingston, UT; Willard Henry (Carole) Bradshaw, Provo, UT; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Samuel Rawl Bradshaw and a sister DeLenna Bradshaw Mecham. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Vermont 2nd Ward Chapel, 400 North 400 East in Orem. Burr, Delbert Russell Our beloved father and grandfather, Delbert Russell Burr, 59, passed away on Nov. 15, 2005 in Orem, UT. Delbert was born in Salt Lake City, UT on Feb. 13, 1946, the youngest of four children to Arthur and Ila Burr. He was raised in Anchorage, Alaska where his love for fishing, camping, the outdoors, and gold mining took root. He served an honorable LDS mission to North Germany from 1966-68. He was married to Cecile Pontius on Aug. 12, 1970 in the Salt Lake City temple and together raised seven children. They were later divorced. As an electrician, Delbert was a hard worker who instilled that value in his children. His passions in life included his children, grandchildren, friends, and gold mining. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life and he loved to be with them. Delbert is survived by his children: David, Phillip, Amy, Julie, Colleen, Nathan, and Emily; 12 grandchildren: Tyler, Chase, Payton, Jacob, John, Rachel, Aidan, Quinton, Colbyn, Alix, Zachary, and Ian; siblings: Ardith, Richard, and Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his parents. Delbert will be greatly missed and forever loved. It is his children's belief that he has found his treasure of gold in Heaven. Christopherson, Dorothy Dorothy Greenhalgh Moore Christopherson Dorothy , age 83 of Spring Lake, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005. She was born April 7, 1922 at Santaquin, Utah to James William and Ida Tew Greenhalgh. She married Reed Norman Moore, October 7, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1985. She married William Ray Christopherson, October 19, 1987 in the Provo LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2001. Dorothy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She was talented with her hand work, crocheting and quilting. She was musically talented with a beautiful voice. She dedicated her life to her family. Survivors include: a son and two daughters, Gary (Sandy) Moore, Cortez, CO; Karen (Brent) Cloward, American Fork; Rosalyn (Steven) Carter, Spring Lake; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother and three sisters, Eldon Greenhalgh, Delta; Marie Peterson, Toquerville; Darlene Fowkes, Mona and Colleen Wilson, Payson. She was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, LaVon & Lowell Greenhalgh; a sister, Teresa Wilde and a granddaughter, Jeanette Cloward. Dalley, Tyler John Tyler John Dalley, 19, of Pleasant Grove returned home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 16, 2005. Tyler was born May 23, 1986 in Orem to Mark and GayLyn Phillips Dalley. Tyler lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed rock-crawling, paint-balling, and riding his Yamaha V-Star Cruiser. His goal in life was to be an architect and to own a business with his brother. Tyler graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2004 and appreciated and enjoyed his teachers at P. G. High. Tyler is survived by his parents of Pleasant Grove; siblings: Mark "J. D." Dalley and Zack (Kylee) Dalley; niece, Aarianna; grandparents: Phil and Cheree Phillips, Richard Dalley and many extended family. Tyler considered his second family to be: Megan Christensen, B. J. and Chip Wright and Jack, Wendy, Trent, and Haley Jeppson. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dawn Etta Dalley and his grandma-great, Lucy Phillips. Lloyd, Marvin Dee On November 16, 2005, Marvin Dee Lloyd completed his earthly journey and returned home to his Heavenly Father. He slipped away quietly when no one was there to call him back. I'm sure he is enjoying a wonderful reunion with his father, who he lost at the age of 12, and the rest of his family. Marvin was born August 1, 1930 in Lakeview, Utah to Clarence and Olive Cordner Lloyd. He later moved to Provo where he completed his education, graduating from Provo High School in 1949. He answered the call of his county when he was drafted in 1951 to participate in the Korean Conflict. He served on the front lines and safely returned home in 1953. He married Marjorie Peay on July 8, 1955 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He worked at Geneva Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1985. Marvin and Marjorie recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in July of this year. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of Pleasant Grove; four children: Mitch (Liz) Lloyd, Lindon; Janet (Kerry) Hutchings, West Jordan; Jodie Christensen, Pleasant Grove and Tracy Dee Lloyd, Layton; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his stillborn son, Jason Lewis Lloyd and siblings: Evelyn Hicks, Karma Allen and Garn C Lloyd. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. Marvin enjoyed nothing more than being with family, especially the teasing part. Published in the Daily Herald on 11/18/2005. Seely, Edna Margaret Rowley 1919- 2005 Edna Margaret Rowley Seely passed away Nov. 16, 2005, the day before her birthday, at her home in West Jordan. She was born Nov. 17, 1919 in Hiawatha, Utah. Married Elvin Anthony Seely on June 21, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an excellent homemaker, seamstress and bread maker. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She lived in Price, Grand Junction, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Cedar City, Lander, Wyoming, Rogers City, Michigan, Cedarville, Michigan and West Jordan, Utah. Edna and Elvin always were active in the LDS church and served genealogy/ancestral missions. She held many positions in the LDS church including Relief Society President and Primary President. Survived by her husband; children, SuzAnne (David) McOmie, Kathleen (Kenneth, deceased) Whites and Douglas (Linda) Seely; 16 grandchildren; 23.5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Orson and Emmy Rowley; grandmother, Wanda Hansen Clement; sisters, Lois (Marvin) Smith, Wanda Jackson; brother, O. Grant Rowley. Smith, Verleen Our loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Verleen Smith, went home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the age of 75. Verleen was born December 20, 1929 in Crockett, California to Ernan Hoffman and Mary Ann Young Smith. On March 29, 1968 she married James Arthur Smith in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She loved working in genealogy and spent many hours doing extraction. She also enjoyed gardening, Daughter of Utah Pioneers, crocheting, sewing and telling stories. She always made other smile with her great sense of humor. Verleen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1952 she served a full-time mission to Illinois. She was diligent in all of her Church callings, including her favorite, working in the Ward Library. She was a very dedicated Visiting Teacher for nearly thirty years. Survivors include: her husband, Jim; sons, Steve (Joyce) Smith, Jeffery Smith, Donald (Jenny) Smith, Kenneth Smith; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Geneil Hicks of Roosevelt. She was preceded in death by a son, Shawn D. Smith and three brothers. Funeral services will be Monday, November 21, 2005, 11:00 a.m. in the Payson 18th Ward Chapel, 482 West 1400 South. Stockburger, Christopher Christopher Stockburger, age 33, left his family to return to Heaven on Monday, November 14, 2005 at Santaquin, Utah. Chris was born August 27, 1972 to Richard and Carol Stockubrger in Orange, California. He was raised in Payson where he met his wife, Adrienne. Chris had been working in customer service for the Postal Service, but wanted to be an accountant. He was attending classes after working for Albertsons for 7 years. Chris was an amazing husband, father and friend. He loved cooking, guitar, camping, shooting and being in the mountains. But his time was spent mostly with his family. His wife was the light of his life and his daughter, his princess and angel. He is survived by: his wife, Adrienne (Hamel) Stockburger; daughter, Eclipse; his mother, Carol Stockburger, Payson; brothers, Pat, Las Vegas; Mike, Denver; four nephews, Terrance, Wesley, Josh and Randy. He was preceded in death by: his father, Richard Stockburger; brother, Richie Stockburger and a nephew, Ezera Stockburger. He will be missed more than he ever would have known. Michael Gary Truex, 59, of Spanish Fork, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Mountain View Hospital in Payson of heart failure. He was born on October 16, 1946 in Milford, Utah. He married Danna Taylor on July 2, 1966 in Orem, Utah. He lived with family in California for 25 years. He worked as a hostler for a trucking Company in California. He moved to Utah in January of 1994. Survivors include his wife, Danna; Children: Michelle Costelow; Sterling Jay Truex; Shauna Truex Clark; Cary Neil Truex; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grand child; his father: Jack R. Cundick; 1 sister and 2 brothers: Nora Kathleen Bush; Harry Kent Truex and Richard Bruce Truex. He was preceded in death by his mother: Helen Southworth Cundick and brother: Charles Harry Truex.
