She was born May 24, 1927, in Price, Utah, to Leonard LaVern Morgan and Fern Casaday Morgan. She married Woodruff Erwin Anderson on September 19, 1944, in Reno, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. He preceded her in death, October 27, 1999. Betty was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including her favorite, working with the Primary children and the Junior Sunday School. Her talents with crocheting, quilting, needlepoint, and knitting blessed her family. She dedicated her life to her family and children. Betty and Woody served a mission to Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1988; and later, to Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1994. In her later years, she enjoyed her service as a temple worker at the Provo Temple. Betty is survived by two daughters and three sons: Kathleen (Jim) Moon, of Benjamin; Elizabeth (Von) Stucki, of Cedar City; Richard W. (Jean) Anderson, of Payson; Kim E. (Kris) Anderson, of Pleasant Grove; Morgan J. (Sara) Anderson, of Springville; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three brothers; and her beloved dog, "Peanut." She was preceded in death by one brother. Her family would like to thank Dr. James Rose and the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Hospice services. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the Springville Stake Center located at 245 South 600 East in Springville. Branam, Ollie Oliver "Ollie" Clinton Branam, age 82, of Provo, died November 16, 2005, at the Bountiful Orchard Cove Assisted Living. He was born September 8, 1923, in Warner, Oklahoma, to Walter Marion Branam and Carrie Jane Stith Branam. He married Barbara Colleen Ivie on May 4, 1944, in Sacramento, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As a member of the LDS Church, Ollie served in many LDS callings, including Bishopric Counselor, High Priest President, Scout Master, as well as other church positions. He continuously volunteered his services to those in need. Ollie owned and operated Ollie's Garage for 40 years. He was a prominent businessman with strong ties to the community. He dedicated many years with the County Search and Rescue communications. He exemplified volunteer public service in the Provo area. Ollie was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and amateur radio operator. His adventures in the mountains of Utah were an important part of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Ollie is survived by his two sons and two daughters: Bob Branam of Elkridge, UT (LilaRee Measom); Tom Branam, of Spanish Fork, UT; Barbara Vakilian (Hady), of Layton, UT; and Wendy Garcia of Clinton, UT; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Troy Eugene Branam, of Porum, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Ivie Branam; both parents; three sisters and six brothers: Hazel Kizzia, Effie Carter, Dottie Richardson, Floyd Branam, Van Branam, Marion Branam, Warren Branam, Leroy Branam. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 11 a.m., at Berg Mortuary Chapel, 185 E. Center Street, Provo. Ludlow, Edna Mae 1916 ~ 2005 NEPHI / Edna Mae Loveless Ludlow (Grams), age 89, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left this life Friday, November 18, 2005, in Nephi, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 10, 1916, in Payson, Utah, to Leo Samuel and Jenny Mae Miles Loveless. She married John Mark (Jack) Ludlow, September 2, 1937. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She attended schools in Payson, Utah. She and her husband moved to Nephi in 1947. She worked with him at the Nephi Lumber for many years. She was active in the LDS Church, where she served in many positions. She was also active in the Nephi Beta Literary Federated Club. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, knitting, and doing numerous things with her hands. Most of all, the joy of her life was her family and grandchildren. Survived by her four children: John (Gayle) Ludlow, Stephen (Gloria) Ludlow, Diane (Vard) White, all of Nephi; Carol (Rick) Deaton, of Spring Glen, Utah; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; one sister, Janice Oldroyd, of Payson, Utah; sister-in-law, Eleanor Loveless, of Payson, Utah; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Jason Ludlow; one sister and two brothers. The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice, Heritage Hills Care Center, and Central Valley Hospice for the loving care they gave our mother. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in the Nephi 8th Ward, 222 S. 100 East. Interment will be at the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 11/20/2005. Patten, Geraldine Evans Geraldine Patten, 79, of Provo died November 17, 2005 after a short illness. Her son Gerald was at her bedside when she passed away. Another son, John, was close by. Her other children Yvonne, Beth, Doug and Joyce were all en route to be with her. Geraldine was born in Idaho Falls, ID November 26, 1925. Her parents were Joshua Thomas and Vira Elizabeth Cash Evans. She married Herb Terry Patten December 9, 1949 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death February 2, 1997. Geraldine and Herb resided for 43 years in Santa Monica, California before moving to Provo in 1996. Geraldine was active in her church, serving as primary teacher and nursery leader, ward Relief Society teacher, and as a ward and stake secretary-treasurer in the Relief Society. She was an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple. Geraldine loved her family and rejoiced in their accomplishments. We will miss her sweet spirit and words of encouragement. Survivors include three daughters and three sons Yvonne Strahn (William), Santa Monica, CA; Elizabeth Jellen (Michael), Santa Monica, CA; Joyce Dougherty (David), Plano, TX; Douglas R. Patten (Martha), Oakdale, CA; Gerald E. Patten (Cathy) , Centreville, VA; and John T. Patten (Arryn), Springville, UT. Survivors also include a sister, Jeanne Larson (Keith), Idaho Falls, ID; and a brother, John Evans (LouJean), Greenacres, WA. She was preceded in death by three brothers Callie, Cash and Tom Evans; and one sister, Valeria Parkinson. There are 21 grandchildren and 2? great-grandchildren. He was born December 31, 1927, to James Edwin and Beth Hatfield Provstgaard, in Payson, Utah. He married Janis Coombs, September 10, 1948. Sheldon "Curley" served in the Merchant Marines in 1945-46 and the Naval Reserve from 1947-51. He worked at Geneva Steel until he retired, after 40 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, building, and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Janis; sons: Michael (Gail), Palmyra; Sheril, Payson; Brett, Evanston; daughter, Lee Ann (John) Young, Provo; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Laura Lee (Paul) Wood, Huntington; JoAnn (Frank) Merryweather, Pleasant Grove; and LaRae (Gilbert) Lopez, of Tooele. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Debra; a brother, Howard; and a sister, Gayle Matson. Services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005, 11 a.m., in the Mtn. Robinson, Opal Heaps Johnson Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend, went home to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 17, 2005. Opal was born June 24, 1924, at Santaquin, Utah, to Adelbert and Mary Jane Mangum Heaps, the youngest of eight. She married Clyde W. Johnson on June 21, 1941; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1966. She later married Don S. Robinson on April 15, 1968. She loved quilting, cooking for her family, and gardening. Opal is loved and survived by her children: Robert D. Johnson, of Mesquite, NV; LeRoy A, (Carie Jean) Johnson, of American Fork, UT; grandchildren: Jerilyn (Scott) Jones, Ryan (Amy) Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Reldon Heaps; three brothers-in-law: Kenneth Johnson, Leon Johnson, Merlin Johnson. Schoenrock, Bernice Jensen Bernice Jensen Schoenrock, age 88, died November 16, 2005, in Provo, Utah. She was born October 3, 1917, to her loving parents, James Ernest Jensen and Rachel Hannah Leatham Jensen. Bernice was reared in Sandy, Utah, and graduated from Jordan High School. She then attended the University of Utah. She moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as a beautician. She met her beloved husband, Lawrence Schoenrock, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They made their home in Can Nuys, California; and, later moved to Provo, Utah, in 1968. Bernice was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed various callings throughout her life. She served as a counselor in the Primary, as a Sunday School teacher; and, twice, as the President of the Relief Society. Bernice worked at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City for many years as a style editor, where church manuals were published. She loved her job and said she had the best job in the world. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and her job was giving the many wonderful lessons to the ladies there. She enjoyed her association with this group. Bernice kept busy by going to the LDS temple each week and attending night classes at Brigham Young University. She was a wonderful, loyal friend to all she knew. She is survived by two children: Kenneth L. (Elizabeth) Schoenrock, and Sally (Gary) Gerbich; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and sister, Lillian Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; sisters: Bonnie Jean Houston, Carol Bennion, and Marge Proctor. Special thanks go to the Beehive Home in Spanish Fork, Utah, and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Cardiac Unit, for all their loving care. Funeral service will be held Monday November 21, 2005, at 10 a.m., in the Provo Bonneville Fifth Ward Chapel. 85 South 900 East, Provo, Utah.
