He was born May 23, 1918, in Emery, Utah to Arthur William Andersen and Lulu Stafford Snow, and lived in Emery until he was almost nine when his mother died. He graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City, and from the University of Washington with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served as a submarine officer during World War II. He married Joyce Elaine Steed July 23, 1946 in the St. George Temple. Mark pursued a career as a sales engineer for the Fafnir Ball Bearing Company. Beginning early in adulthood and continuing until age and illness took their toll, Mark's life was dedicated to his family and to service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as the bishop of the Monrovia Ward in Southern California and of the Bellevue Ward in the Seattle area. Later he served as first counselor and then as president in the Pleasanton Stake in Northern California. Mark and Joyce served a mission for the Church in Independence, Missouri. Upon their return, Mark was called as stake patriarch, and also served as a sealer in the Oakland Temple. Mark was a gentleman, possessed of absolute integrity, good natured humor and kindness to all. He loved hiking in the High Sierras of California with his children. He also excelled in ballroom dancing, gardening, and in designing and building creative and practical solutions for everyday use. He is survived by Joyce, his loving wife of 59 years, and by six children: Steven (Kathryn), Eric (Catherine), Bradley (Kathleen), David (Mary Ann), Lisa (Dan Thomas) and Roger (Shauna). Another son (Jeffrey) died in infancy. He is also survived by 10 siblings, by 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 2, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Grandview 9th Ward, 1555 N. 1350 W., Provo, Utah. Archuleta, William William Daniel Wade Archuleta (Bill), returned peaceful to his heavenly father Monday, November 28, 2005. He was born October 13, 1959 in Spanish Fork Utah to Daniel & Lila Crist Archuleta. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He married Cindy Kay Christianson, they later divorced. Together they had four beautiful daughters. He worked for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad for 10 years. He enjoyed many different things, hunting, fishing, camping, auto body repair, painting & building model cars & airplanes. He was a very loving son and father. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart, they meant the world to him. He will be forever deeply missed by everyone. Bill is survived by his father, three daughters; Elaina Kay Archuleta, Spanish Fork, Corey Kay Turpin (Jeremiah), Payson, Stacy Kay Archuleta, Spanish Fork, two grandchildren; Cole Archuleta, and Victoria Turpin, one brother, and four sisters; Shane Archuleta, St. George, Diana Archuleta, Golden Valley AZ, Donna Henderson, Provo, Cindy Hall, Provo, and Sherrie Forbush, Provo, and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his daughter Anna Kay Archuleta. Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11 a.m in the Benjamin Ward Chapel, 3238 West 7300 South, Benjamin. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork on Thursday evening 6 til 8 p.m. or Friday at the ward building from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services. Huber, Audrey Scott 1918-2005 Audrey Scott Huber, 87, passed away November 27, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Lindon, Utah, due to causes incident to age. Born July 14, 1918, the second daughter of Della Smith and Denon Scott, in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Audrey graduated from Lloyd Star High School in 1937, and married Bennie L. Woolley in 1938. They had one daughter, Rita Ann. Bennie passed away in July, 1941. After Benny's death, Audrey went to work for her brother-in-law at J. A. Huber Shoe Shop in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1956, she married Clarence C. Hultz but was again a widow in 1958. She married Henry A. Huber in 1974, and they continued to run the business together until poor health forced them to close the shop. Huber Shoe Shop was a landmark on Capitol Street for many years, and Audrey made many friends there in the 42 years she worked. Widowed again in l981, she moved to Clinton, Mississippi until 1999, when she moved to Utah to live with her daughter and to be near her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Survivors include daughter, Rita Woolley Penix (Roy G.) of Lindon, Utah; two granddaughters, Audrey Theresa Allred (Mike) of Lehi, Utah; Debra Michelle Okelberry (Scott) of American Fork, Utah; seven great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Joshua, and Rebecca Allred; Matthew, Camille, Steven, and Michelle Okelberry. She is also survived by sisters Wisie Smith of Wesson, Mississippi, Nita Hanenkrat of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and Virginia Hurst of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Audrey was preceded in death by three husbands, her parents, and older sister, Agnes Woolley. The family would like to give special thanks to Leann Jackson. She has been Audrey's hospice nurse during her illness and a very special friend to all of us. She has been our own angel during the last three years. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 12:30 pm, at Riverwoods Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Visitation will be prior to services at 11:00 a.m. Published in the Daily Herald on 11/30/2005. Locke, Wendell Joseph Fairview: Wendell Joseph Locke passed away November 28, 2005 following a stroke. He was born in Sunnyside, Utah May 23, 1925 to Joseph & Hilda Otterstrom Locke. He married Belva Johnson January 28, 1944 in Price, Utah later sealed in the Manti Temple July 16, 1946. He joined the Navy Seabees and served near Guadal Canal in the Philippines and went in on the invasion of Okinawa. He was a professional photographer and took school pictures for many years. He and Belva both worked at Signetics in Orem, retired from there and moved to Fairview, Utah where he lived on a ranch and had a herd of horses, a lifelong dream. He loved hunting, camping, sports and traveling with his family whom he cherished very much. He is survived by his wife, Belva of Fairview, UT; children, Hilda (Henry) Derres, Salt Lake City, UT; Anna (James) Richardson, Huntsville, UT; Edna (Brian) Greer, Henderson, NV; John (Ella Raye) Locke, Orem, UT; Bobby (Shelley) Locke, Lacey, WA; Becky (Ronald) Romero, Magna, UT; Weston (Sherry) Locke, Ogden, UT; 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings; John Locke, Thora Diamond, Melvin Locke and Barbara Gimbel. Funeral services Wed. Nov. 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview 4th Ward Chapel (100 S. State). Friends may call Tues from 6-8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant and Wed from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment in the Cleveland City Cemetery in Cleveland, Utah.
