She was surrounded by loving family at the time of her passing. She was born the daughter of Royal Richmond and Rebecca Olsen Selman on the family farm in Benjamin, Utah. She married Blaine Kenneth Cannon, on June 30, 1951, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beth was the family matriarch and was the glue that held the family ties in place. She generously loved all her family and friends and touched the hearts of many with her kindness. She loved doing outdoor activities with her husband and her pet dog, Tuffy, such as fishing, camping, rock hunting, and gardening. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, of Payson; a daughter and two sons: Rebecca (Lynn) Evans, Portland, Oregon; Gary (Annette) Cannon, Payson; Robert (BeckyJo) Cannon, Provo; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers: Barbara (George) James, Provo; Bud (Helen) Selman, Salem; Dorothy Spainhower, North Salt Lake; Joan (Ray) VanLeuuwen, Mt. Pleasant; Patsy (Larry) Mullins, Provo; MaryLee (Garth) Boswell, Goshen; Georgia (Blaine) Boyer, Lindon; Frank (Pat) Selman, Phoenix, Arizona; and a sister-in-law, Patty Selman, of Provo. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Richard; and sisters, Jerri and LaRae. Services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2005, 11 a.m. in the Payson West Stake Center, 780 West 500 South. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m.; or, at the church, Wednesday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. Keel, Johnathan Leon Johnathan Leon Keel, 38, of Payson, passed away Friday, September 30, 2005. He was born June 1, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Leon Keel of American Fork, and Donna Keel of Payson. He married Babbet Keel in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she gave him two beautiful children: a son, Damon Johnathan Keel, and a daughter, Devonn Renne Keel. They were later divorced. John then moved back to his hometown, Payson, Utah; it was here where he attended school and learned one of his many trades, dry wall and sheet rock installation. John had a zest for life and a great sense of humor. He was kind and carrying, and loved by all who knew him. He was always known to have a smile on his face that would light up any room. He enjoyed fishing and B.B.Q.'s and just being in the great outdoors, spending quality time there with his family and friends; one of which was a friend and companion, Lori Beddos (and children). John touched our hearts and filled our lives with joy. We all love you and you will be gratefully missed... He is survived by his three children: Damon and Devonn Keel, of Phoenix; Nickolas Alexander Driscoll, of Payson; mother, Donna and Humberto Bencomo, of Nephi; father, Leon and Maria Keel , of West Virginia; brother and sisters: Rose Keel (Idaho), Wanda and Blaine Simons (Spanish Fork), Dorine Gomez (Idaho), Angelina and Hugo Gonzales (Nephi), Lorenzo Bencomo (Nephi), Susie Bencomo (Orem); step-brothers and step-sister, Lolo and Tammi Bencomo (Goshen), Benito and Julie Bencomo (Provo). Olson, Ethel Virginia Walin Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Ethel Virginia Walin Olson, 87, peacefully passed away in Payson on Sunday, October 2, 2005. She was born June 30, 1918, in Chicago Illinois, daughter of Hilding Frederick and Selma Serafia Swanson Walin. She married Myron Vivan Olson, in Chicago, on May 11, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband, Myron, Santaquin; son, Michael D. Olson (Nanette), Santaquin; daughter, Deanne Marie (Bill) Van Ausdal, Glendale, AZ; son, Daniel M. Olson (Cauleen), Santaquin; son, Scott R. Olson (Sherilee), Morgan, UT; sister, Anna May (Hillman) Jackson, Streamwood, IL; brother, Harry (Gloria) Walin, Chicago, IL; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Ethel had wanted to be an aviator, but her small stature prevented qualifying. She joined the Navy and served in the Pentagon with the Naval Statistics Division. Her clerical skills were much appreciated; and, she was offered a commission, but chose to start a family instead. Ethel was a member of the Santaquin Post 84 of the American Legion and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed art and sewing. She respected diversity and encouraged her family to appreciate people in all their variety. She was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Virginia; brothers: Bertil Alfred Walin, Edward Bertil Walin, Kenneth Eugene Walin; and sisters: Helen Marie Carlson; and, twin sister, Violet Sofia Amundsen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at Noon, in the Santaquin Utah North Stake Center, 200 East 600 North, Santaquin, UT. Friends and family may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Utah; and, also, at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery, 100 East 300 South, with full Military Rites provided by Santaquin American Legion Post 84. The family wishes to express deepest thanks to those who have provided deep-felt service for our wife and mother at Cambry House; and, especially the empathy and compassion shown by the nurses of Alpine Hospice.
