Bill was born in Buffalo, New York on September 29, 1945, the oldest son of George Axford and Shirley Elizabeth Gress Axford. Bill was loved by all for his humor and willingness to help anyone succeed. He spent most of his life in Southern California (Diamond Bar & Covina), where he worked for the sprinkler fitters union #709 and raised his family. Bill was able to retire four years ago and enjoyed going on cruises, vacations on the Colorado River and spending quality time with his extended family and grandchildren. His spirit will be cherished and live on in our hearts and minds. Bill is survived by his son, Billy (Katie) Axford and their five children: David, Taylor, Rylee Axford, Katelynn & Sadie Brailsford; Brothers: Jim Paas, Don Pass, John Axford; Sister: Joyce Belcher. He was preceded in death by his youngest son: David Axford, who died several years ago in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Kolob 4th Ward Chapel, 2557 South Dalton Drive (200 East), Springville. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork on Wednesday evening 6 til 8 p.m. or Thursday at the church from 9:45 til 10:45 am prior to the services. Jewell, Donald Alan 1962 ~ 2005 Donald Alan Jewell, age 43, passed away October 8, 2005 in American Fork, Utah after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Kellogg, Idaho April 29, 1962 to Donald and Alice Jewell. He lived most of his life in Pocatello Idaho. He graduated from Highland High School in 1980 and studied electronics at Idaho State University and communications at BYU. Alan married Katharine Harto October 28, 1989, they were later sealed in the Manti Temple. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Alan worked for Video West, KSL-TV, and the Utah Jazz. He loved water skiing, golfing, riding his motorcycle, coaching and watching his children's sporting events, and making his special pizza every Sunday for family and friends. Alan is survived by his wife Kathy and children Ashley, Myles, Kora, Levi and Kali, all of Highland, Utah, his parents and sisters Lanette (Todd) Adams, Karen (Mark) Farnes, and Nancy (Jason) Etheredge all of Pocatello, Idaho. He was preceded in death by one son, Rye Delaney. Funeral services for Alan will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland 12th LDS Ward Chapel,10390 North Alpine Highway, Highland, Utah. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah and Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church.
