He was born September 18, 1938 in Payson to Carl William and Josephine Katherina Wirthlin Benson. He is survived by his sisters, Corine Christiansen of Gilbert, AZ and Nola (Gene) Chappel of Payson, and brothers, Leon (Sylvia) of Payson and Alvin (Connie) of Orem. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bobbie Jay and David Clark. Monty had a wonderful childhood and did well in school. He graduated from Payson High School in 1957. He never married and has been living in a care center for the past 40 years. He was a kind, loving, and generous person who shared whatever he had with others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We know he is thrilled to be reunited with his parents whom he loved so deeply. Published in the Daily Herald on 10/29/2005. Billings, Evan Abram Evan Abram Billings 1925-2005 Evan Abram Billings, 80, died October 27, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 13, 1925 in Delta, Utah to Claude Duval and Lydia Workman Billings. He married Elda Mae Lewis, July 26, 1945 in the Manti LDS Temple. Evan served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He raised his family in Provo, Utah until 1980 when they relocated to Independence, Missouri. He was an active leader in the LDS church and a devoted temple worker. Evan was preceded in death by his sweetheart. Survivors include Susan (Robert) Mitchell, West Bountiful; Roger (Tonja) Billings, Missouri; Nancy (Stephen) Allen, West Jordan; Lewis (Patti) Billings, Provo; Mary (Bryan) Jones, Idaho; and Anne (Matthew) Untch, Missouri; 45 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Strong, SLC; Ava (June) Shaw, SLC; and two brothers: Alonzo Billings, American Fork; Melvin D.(Joann) Billings, Provo. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, October 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, at the Westland First Ward chapel, 7115 South 3200 West, West Jordan, Utah with viewing at 10:00. Ingle, James Lewis James Lewis Ingle James Lewis Ingle passed away in Salt Lake City on October 27, 2005. James was born on April 17, 1937 to Trico and Mabel Brown Ingle in Montgomery, Alabama, the youngest of ten children. He spent his childhood in Montgomery, and joined the Air Force at the age of 17. James made a career of the Air Force and served three tours in the Viet Nam theatre. During his time in the Air Force he met and married Claudette Westburry, and the family lived in several states. He retired after twenty three years of service and the family moved to Lehi where they raised their children. James gained employment with the Department of Corrections. He spent his career training officers and staff. He retired from the Department in 1997. Claudette passed away in 1997. James married Gail Wiechman in November of 1998, and moved to Riverton, Utah. James was an active member of the LDS Church where he enjoyed serving in the High Priest Group Presidency and enjoyed his Home Teaching assignments. James is survived by his wife Gail and his children Jimmy (Chuck), Vicky (Robert) Smith, Becky (Anne), and Sammy. He is also survived by his step children Mark (LaNell) Wiechman, Brent (Val) Wiechman, Paula (Bryan) Vigos, and Eric Wiechman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren. Service for James will be held on Monday, October 31, 2005 in the Brookwood Chapel at 11970 South 1900 West in Riverton, at 1:00 PM. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Swan, Eugene Ramsey Eugene Ramsey Swan Our loving father, Eugene Ramsey Swan, age 78, returned to his Heavenly Father and awaiting loved ones on October 27, 2005. He was born April 9, 1927 to George Whitmer and Leona Ramsey Swan, in Southgate, California. He married Lois Guymon on February 26, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.Eugene was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He served in various callings throughout his life. He retired as BYU Food Service Vending Manager after 31 years of service. He was also a veteran of 5 years in the United States Navy during WWII. He especially loved and enjoyed his family, including 8 children, 26 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, son Robert, one great grandchild, and a brother-in-law, Phil Conley. He is survived by his children, Paul (Joy) Swan, Pleasant Grove; Carolyn (Mike) Sargent, Layton; Susann (Clark) Evans, Lindon; Kristy (Bill) Beck, Payson; Craig (Jane) Swan, Santaquin; Jan Fowler, Murray; and Darin (Karmyn) Swan, Cedar Hills. He is also survived by his siblings, Gordon (Barbara) Swan, St. George; Helen (Dean) Madsen, Oakland, CA; Carole (Don) Walker, St. George; Virginia Conley, Mission Viejo, CA; and Frank (Colleen) Swan, Ogden. Viewings will be held 6-8 pm Sunday, October 30th at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S State St., Orem, and 12 pm Tuesday, November 1st, prior to funeral services which will be at 1 pm in the Orem 2nd Ward Chapel at 80 South 280 East, Orem, Utah.
