MacCabe, Jacquelyne Rhea Jacquelyne Rhea MacCabe Jacquelyne Rhea MacCabe passed to the next life on Friday, October 28, 2005, after a relatively short bout with cancer. Surrounded by her children, she went to meet others who had gone before. Jackie was born in Texas on July 23, 1933. Along with her mother, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her youth, and remained a faithful member all throughout her life. She was well-loved by the many family members surrounding her, as well as the members of her "extended" family, including friends in her ward and at her job. She will certainly be missed by many. Jackie lived a rich life and was multi-talented. She has been at various times: a model, a stewardess, an entrepreneur, a private pilot, and an adept organist. In the 70's, she refined a concept for making candles that was revolutionary in the industry. She was known for the feeling with which she played the organ, and was constantly working on various arts and crafts. She worked hard at finding her roots through genealogical research, and was very active in the lives of her family. She had a lovely voice and even sang with the Tabernacle Choir. Her personality was engaging and vibrantly outgoing. Rarely did she allow any obstacle to stand in the way of improving her abilities. Jackie was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to John MacCabe, who died tragically at a young age. She is survived by her four children: Kevin MacCabe, Michele Askeroth, Margaret MacCabe, and Noel Stanford Oveson. At present, she has 18 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary in Orem on Monday, October 31, 2005, at 2 p.m. Friends can call at this facility beginning at 1 p.m. Published in the Daily Herald on 10/30/2005.
