He was born July 21, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Lores Calvin Beckstead and Jean Irene Roberts. Randy was a single father who loved his children and family so very much. Randy loved to work on cars and did a very good job of rigging things to make them work. He also loved his sisters and brothers. He is survived by his children, Glenda 17, Randy Jr. 15, Holly Jean 13, and Brandon Kyle 6, all of Hurricane. They will truly miss their daddy. He is also survived by five sisters and one brother, Judy (Richard) Garbett, Hurricane, Jill (Randy) Skow, Draper, Carla (Cory) Rasmussen, Clinton, Utah, Irene (Allen) Garbett, Eureka, Utah, Dennis (Cheryl) Wahlburg, Battle Mountain, Nevada, Diane Carter, Provo, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Eureka City Cemetery. Loveless, Donnell Lynn Donnell Lynn Loveless 7/13/1928 9/7/2005 Lynn Loveless passed away surrounded by his family. Born in Payson, Utah. Married Iva Dee Hill, March 18, 1946. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 10th, 12:00 noon at Payson City Cemetery. There will be no viewing as per Lynn s wishes. Funeral Directors, Redwood Memorial Mortuary. Published in the Daily Herald on 9/9/2005. Newman, Coleen Christensen Coleen Christensen Hunt Newman, 75, passed away September 8, 2005, surrounded by her devoted family. Coleen was born April 9, 1930, in Salt Lake City to Aris & Orlena Christensen. She married her eternal sweetheart, Cal Utley Hunt, March 10, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised 5 beautiful children and shared 41 wonderful years together until his untimely death. At this same time she also endured the loss of her beloved daughter, Suzanne Hunt Young. She was then blessed to find and marry her current devoted husband, Parley Newman in 1992 and has resided in Provo until the last few months of life. Among many of her talents Coleen was creative and industrious in building her own business . She was also a skilled seamstress, artist and decorator. Everything she touched transformed into a thing of beauty. She led a noble, valiant life, touching many lives as she served in many capacities, but her greatest joy and accomplishment was derived from her posterity. Coleen is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband, Parley Newman, her children, Calleen (Rick) Archibald, Delta, Utah, Gordon (Donna) Hunt, Winston-Salem, N.C., Vickie (Blaine) Fischer, Charlotte, N.C. and Derald (Kim) Hunt, Atlanta, GA. plus, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Aris Max Christensen and daughter, Suzanne Hunt Young. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2005, in the Edgemont 2nd Ward Chapel, 555 East 3230 North, Provo. Born July 6, 1920 in Jerome, PA, he was the 10th of 14 children born to Nikolai and Anna Yasko. He grew up in Conemaugh and Johnstown, PA. After graduating from high school, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, where one of the projects he worked on was Camp David. At the outbreak of WWII, he worked as a welder in the Baltimore shipyards, then joined the Army Air Corps. He initially served with the 8th Air Force in England, but was later selected for a reconnaissance photography unit at Poltava Air Base in the Soviet Union. He married Ruth Evans February 22, 1946. They were later divorced. He studied pre-med and received a bachelors degree at the University of Utah and a masters degree in Russian at the University of California at Berkeley. He worked for the CIA s foreign language and scientific intelligence divisions in Washington, D.C. Returning to school, he earned a degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University. He worked for the National Bureau of Standards in Boulder, CO, and later for Boeing Aircraft & Aeronautics where he worked on the Saturn V project at Cape Kennedy. He continued to work as an electronics engineer in the aerospace industry at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, IA, Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH, and at Hill Air Force Base and Morton Thiokol in Ogden, UT. Following retirement, he moved to Florida, but had recently returned to Utah and was living with his daughter in Lehi at the time of his death. Paul was a member of Mensa and will be remembered for his love of knowledge and learning, his mechanical and linguistic skills, and his generosity. He is survived by his children Nancy Strode (Mike), Angela Roberts (Bill), Paula Davis (Craig), and Greg Yashko (Cindy), his 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and his sister Anna Cummings. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sonya Reid Vancil. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, at Noon at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
