Born August 28, 1932, in Pleasant Grove, the daughter of Frank K Walker and Elda Gillman. She married James Clyde Chesnut, August 3, 1951, in Pleasant Grove; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 13, 1965. Jeanelle was an active member of the LDS Church. She loved to travel and was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed athletics and had a great love of music and singing. She enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. Survivors include her husband, two sons and a daughter: Craig (Susan) Chesnut; Bruce W. (Tamara) Chesnut; Linda (Joe M.) Murdoch; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers: Glade Walker, Pleasant Grove; Ronald Walker, Lindon. Preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the American Fork 18th Ward, 381 South 300 East. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork; and, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Gleave, Barbara Ann Harrill Barbara was born February 1, 1938, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, the daughter of Pet and Sara Harrill. Barbara moved to Utah in 1952 and graduated from Springville High School Class of 1955. She then moved to Monterey, California, and met and married Peter J. Riso. They were later divorced. She later met Lynn Gleave, and they were married June 11, 1965. Barbara had a passion for life. Her favorite pastime was golfing with her 9-holer gang where she served as past-president and won numerous tournaments. Barbara s passion extended to Bridge and her Bridge partners. She deeply loved them all. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Gleave, of Provo, UT; a daughter, Victoria (John) Taylor, of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Tammie (Tony) Doyle of Lehi, UT; a daughter, Stacy (Robert) Wright, of Draper, UT; 20 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Christensen, of Orem, UT; and a sister, Dorothy McFarland, of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pet and Sara Harrill; two brothers, John and Max Harrill, all from North Carolina. Friends may celebrate her life Tuesday, the 13th of September, from 6-8 p.m., at Berg Mortuary 185 E. Center Street, Provo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, the 14th of September, 2005, at Berg Mortuary. Interment will be at Provo Cemetery. Hill, Paul Edward Our loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle reunited with his bride, September 10, 2005, one year to the date of her passing, surrounded by his family in Provo, Utah. Paul was born May 30, 1927, in Laurens, South Carolina, the son of Luther and Odessa Hill. He spent his youth in South Carolina until he enlisted in the Merchant Marines at a very young age. All of his life, he had a deep love for his country. As a result, he served in WWII, then re-enlisted during the Korean War. After his military service, he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Provo to attend BYU and finish his education, where he graduated with a business degree. During this time, he met Mercedes Dickey, whom he married, March 21, 1957, in the Los Angeles Temple. Paul and Mercy settled in southern California, where Paul was Purchasing Manager for the Huntington Beach School District. While working for the school district, Paul was instrumental in helping to build four new schools, and received various awards for his work. During their time in Garden Grove, California, and after moving to Orem, in 1977, the couple raised five daughters. Paul took a position as Purchasing Manager at Valtek in Springville, where he retired after seventeen years of employment. Paul served in various leadership positions, including several bishoprics and the stake high council for the church. After retiring, Paul spent his time working in the temple; and, with his wife and family. Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Mercy; his parents; his brother, Chris; and granddaughter, Amy Bradford. He is survived by his daughters: Virginia Hill, Provo; Sharon (Less) Goss, Houston, Texas; Elizabeth (Greg) Abbott, Monroe; Susan (Kline) Bradford, Orem; Barbara Tate, Orem; 21 grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Norma); and his sister, McNary Burgess. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, at Noon, at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11:30 a.m., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery with full Military Rites. He attended Joaquin Elementary, Farrer Middle School, and graduated from Provo High School in 1958. Dennis continued his education at BYU, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering, and was a proud member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity. He worked as a computer engineer for over 21 years. Dennis served three years in the U.S. Army, Military Intelligence Division, and was stationed in Arizona, New Jersey, and Turkey. He was honorably discharged, having achieved the rank of E-5. Dennis was an active Boy Scout for over 50 years, serving as a boy and as a leader. Dennis served as a Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, and both a Wood Badge and Leadership trainer, at ward, district and council levels. Dennis enjoyed many church callings, including 2nd Counselor in the bishopric, employment specialist, family history consultant, Sunday School president, Young Men s president, and as a volunteer at the Missionary Training Center. Dennis was a voracious reader and spent countless hours gathering genealogical and Provo City history. He was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished Dutch-oven chef. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Provo; children: Michelle Carter, of Salt Lake City, UT; Michael Hoover, of Tacoma, WA; and Howard Hoover, of Provo, UT; grandson, Angus Carter; and siblings, Richard Hoover, of Taylorsville, UT, and Susan Smith, of New York. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Provo Peak 6th Ward Chapel, 667 North 600 East, Provo, UT. King, 48, died Saturday, September 10, 2005, at her home in Spanish Fork, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born November 5, 1956, in Provo, a daughter of Thomas and Margaret Huish Sumner. She married Kevin King, May 6, 1978, in Provo, Utah. She was educated in the Spanish Fork Schools and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She worked for Mt. Bell, and later, Quest, for 24 years as a dispatcher. She loved her job and her co-workers. She was an excellent seamstress and made and gave away everything from quilts to clothes, to friends and the needy. She recently made 30 sets of angel wings for her granddaughter's dance recital. She loved her kids and grandkids, and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Kris was a member of the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the Lord and shared it by her example of service to others. Survivors include her husband of Spanish Fork; one son and two daughters: Reagen (Jeff) Cox, Amy Lyn King, and Klint King, all of Spanish Fork; three and one-half grandchildren; her father, Tom Sumner and Deann Midgley, of Provo; one brother and two sisters: Norman (Denise) Jacobsen, Spanish Fork; Kami (Todd) Anderson, Orem; Tori Sumner, Spanish Fork; an uncle, Robert and Vicki Jacobsen, Orem; an aunt, Zelma Pendelton, of Spanish Fork; an aunt, Verl Hancock, of Payson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Sumner; mother and stepfather, Norm and Margaret Jacobsen; and grandparents, Walter and Ione Huish. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at 11 a.m., in the Walker Mortuary Chapel in Spanish Fork at 187 South Main.
