Orson Allen Beesley, 69, passed away due to complications from surgery. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 26, 1936 to Orson Pratt Beesley and Paloma Ethel Allen, he later moved to California and graduated from Downey High School. Married Judy Davis in 1957, and later divorced. Survived by their 5 children Orson Robert (Jackie), Brent, Blake, Brooke Ann and Chenoa (Chad) Miner. Also survived by his loving sisters Jackie (Boyd) Blackham and Dorothy (Richard) Nordstrom and 10 grandchildren. Orson made friends easily with his easy going happy personality. He will be missed by many. We find comfort knowing that you rest from your earthly cares. You're invited to remember Orson's life with us. Christopherson, Gisela Irma (1944-2005) Gisela Irma Christopherson passed away peacefully at her home in Orem, Utah on Saturday, September 17, 2005 surrounded by her husband, sister and loving children and family. Gisela fought a heroic battle with cancer. She was born January 13, 1944 in Berlin, Germany to her earthly parents, Karl Thomas Binder and Dora Ida Rudolph. Gisela, her sister and parents survived the horrors of World War II during the darkest days of that terrible war. After escaping a Russian Prison Camp, her father decided to bring his little family to America and live in a free society. At Christmas time 1949 they arrived in Provo, Utah and began a new life. The family faced many challenges. They were strong as they made a better life in America. Gisela graduated from Orem High School. She also graduated from Mary's Career College. She married Alan J. Christopherson in the Manti LDS Temple and they are the parents of eleven children and sixteen grandchildren. During her mortal life Gisela was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She worked for over eleven years as a cross-guard in Orem and as a playground supervisor at the Cherry Hill Elementary School. Many children called her Mrs. C. Because a number of years ago one little boy couldn't pronounce her name and she told him to call her Mrs. C. All the children loved her and knew of her love for them. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Her rich and generous life was a great blessing to all of us. Alan and Gisela's son, Gary Christopherson passed away on September 9, 2005. As Gisela moves on into the arms of a loving Heavenly Father and Gary she leaves behind her husband, Alan J. Christopherson, her mother, Dora Binder, her sister Christa Jensen of Decater, Alabama, her children, Karl (Emily) Christopherson of Orchard Park, New York, Lorie Rowley of Orem, Lynn (Melanie) Christopherson of Pl. Grove, Michael (Saida) Christopherson of Springville, Sharon (Timothy) Groff of Orem, David Christopherson of Orem, Kristine (Royston) Stevens of West Valley City, Robert (Nicole) Christopherson of Orem, Mark Christopherson of Orem, and Paul (Jenny) Christopherson of Orem, sixteen grandchildren and three cousins. Dearest wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother we will miss your loving kindness and your sweet smile and we will cherish your example for us all. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lakeridge Ward Chapel at 900 South 100 West in Orem. Kendall Jr., James Clair James Clair Kendall, Jr. age 51, died Tuesday, September 19, 2005, in Orem, Utah. He was born March 25, 1954, in Nephi, Utah, to James "Clair" Kendall and Marjorie "LaRae" Worthington. He married Marlene Baker in Nephi on September 23, 1977. He graduated from Juab High School in 1972. He attended the University of Utah and U.V.S.C. His passions included his wife, his cabin and his dogs. He enjoyed wood working as a career and as a hobby. He is survived by his wife, Marlene, Orem, his mother, LaRae Kendall, Nephi, sisters, Anna Rae McAllister, Orem, Ruth Kendall, SLC. He was preceded in death by his father, Clair Kendall, Nephi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2005, in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Kuhni, Theron Valeo Theron Valeo Kuhni, age 84 of Provo, husband of Anne Bray Kuhni, died Saturday, September 17, 2005 of a short illness. Theron was born July 16, 1921 in Heber, Utah to John Hans and Nettie Winterton Kuhni. He married Anne Bray on October 29, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Theron received his education in Utah County. He served in the military for a short time during WWII as a communications specialist. Survivors include his children: Diann (Craig) Smith of New Canaan, Connecticut; Kathy (John) Rees of Aberdeen, Washington; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Dallan) Kuhni of Provo; brothers and sisters: Ralph Kuhni, Elaine Gray, Glade Kuhni, Melvin Kuhni, Arlin Kuhni and Carol Huntington; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Anne, his son, Dallan, his sister, Marie, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at the Slate Canyon 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 715 Utah Ave., Provo. Published in the Daily Herald on 9/21/2005. Nielsen, Elaine T. 1909 - 2005 Richfield/Orem, Utah - Elaine Thompson Nielsen, age 96, passed away Monday, September 19, 2005 in Orem. She was born June 3, 1909 in Holden, Utah, a daughter of William Leslie and Eva Stephenson Thompson. She attended schools in Aurora and Salina and graduated from North Sevier High School and Brigham Young University. Elaine married her high school sweetheart, Lynn C Nielsen on July 9, 1932 in Aurora, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple December 27, 1945. Lynn died March 1, 1983. They are parents to Leslie (Raymond) Ethington of Columbia, Missouri, Marsha (Wayne) Hansen of Orem; and Winifred (Clark) Jensen of Highland. In 1993, Elaine moved from her home in Richfield to Orem. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was Grandma to 17 grandchildren and was Grammy-Great to 48 great-grandchildren. Elaine influenced many children through her role as a loving teacher at Franklin School in Provo, Ashman Elementary in Richfield and as a pre-school teacher, Primary teacher and 4-H leader. She loved to serve the Lord and did so by serving others. She held many ward and stake callings and was a Relief Society Visiting Teacher Supervisor in her Orem Ward at the time of her death. She was called to help establish the first Junior Sunday School in the LDS Church. Elaine was a member and officer of the Richfield Study Club where she presented many book reviews; the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Richfield Diners Club. In addition to her daughters and sons-in-law, she is survived by her brothers, Alma (Aldena) Thompson of Nephi; Dan (Rae) Thompson of Aurora; Paul (Marba) Thompson of Hurricane, and sister, Rose (Frans) Winkel of St. George; brothers-in-law: Richard (Nedra) Nielsen of Salt Lake City; Roger (Gail) Nielsen of Salina; and sister-in-law: Thelma (Dent) Okerlund of Salina. Her husband, Lynn, preceded her in death as did her brother Homer Thompson and sisters Edith Harward and Joy Johnson and granddaughter, Carolee Hansen. Funeral services will honor the life of Elaine Thompson Nielsen at the Sharon 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 641 South 400 East in Orem at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 23, 2005. Wilkerson, Emma Renon Cook Emma Renon Cook Wilkerson, 87, passed away at her home in St. George, UT, Saturday, September 17, 2005 after a short illness. She was born July 12, 1918, in Provo, Utah, the first child of John McKinley and Chloe Susan Reynolds Cook. She attended Orem schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was married to Woodford Workman Wilkerson on August 3, 1938 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They first lived in Provo and then in Strawberry Valley where Mr. Wilkerson was working on building roads. They later lived in Orem, Cedar City, Las Vegas, Nev., Evanston, Wyo., on an LDS Stake farm in south Provo and Benjamin. They later moved to California and lived in Yorba Linda and Placentia before moving back to Mona, Utah for several years. The last 9 years they have lived in St. George, UT. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. She and her husband served two missions for the LDS Church. The first one was in the California Sacramento mission and the second one was in the England London South Mission doing name extraction. She is survived by two daughters and five sons. They are Gay Wilkerson; Karl C. (Georgia); Douglas C. (Joan); Richard C. (Linda); Dale C. Wilkerson; Kent C. (Lynn) and Tamera (Wayne) Infanger. They are also survived by 32 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two brothers and two sisters, Mack Cook, David Cook, Gloria Hicken and Carol Myrup. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter, Lee C., Nancy (Stanley) Baker, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and three sisters, Elaine Brereton, Maxine Cook and Janice West. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at the LDS Ward Chapel, 550 E. 700 S., St. George, UT. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd. and at the Chapel from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. preceding the funeral. Burial will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Provo City Cemetery.
