Cox, 41 of Las Vegas passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004, due to injuries from an automobile accident. Steve was born in Cedar City, Utah on December 10, 1962. His family moved to Las Vegas in 1973 where he resided for the past 31 years. His wife Lisa of 18 years and his twin sons Cody and Kyle survive Steve. In addition, Steve will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. His father J. Antone Cox preceded him in death. Although Steve's life was cut short at a young age his accomplishments filled a lifetime. His first passion in life was his wife and children and his extended family. At family gatherings he could often be found joking and playing with his sons, nieces and nephews. He loved the outdoors and spent many weekends and vacations on the family land on Kanarra Mountain. He loved being active in the outdoors whether it was rafting the Colorado River as a guide, motorbike and four-wheeling with his sons, or taking them to Wyoming where they looked for a new fishing spot every day and waited for rabbits and prairie dogs to appear. Steve was fortunate to bring the same zest for life to his work. He began working in the audiovisual industry at Acromedia Corp. in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He later worked for the Mirage Hotel in the audio-visual department before joining Kelly Communications in the mid-1990's. Steve was extensively involved in special effects for Rain and Ghost Bar at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas and the Morongo Rain nightclub in Cabason, California for which he won numerous rewards. Steve's imagination and his love of life was enjoyed by all who knew him, as life was never an obstacle for him, it was an adventure. He not only realized and lived all his dreams; he insisted that others live their dreams too. Viewing will be Thursday December 2, 2004 from 5-7 p.m. at Bunkers Chapel located at 925 Las Vegas Blvd North. Services will be held Friday December 3, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at Bunkers Chapel.
