He was born December 22, 1908, in Glendale, Utah to Olaf William and Anna Louise Bryner Sandberg. He married Lucy Estelle Leonard December 29, 1927. She passed away in August of 1937. He then married Jean Underwood on January 25, 1943. She also passed away in July of 1977. He is survived by his children Arthur (Yvonne) Sandberg of St. George, UT, Jean (Zeke) Melick of Plano, TX, Kay (Jerry) Hayes of Blythewood, SC, Richard (Joan) Sandberg of Salt Lake City, UT, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Robert Leroy Graham On Thursday, Dec. 3rd 2004, at the age of 79, Robert Leroy Graham (Bob Graham) of St. George, Utah peacefully passed away due to congestive heart failure. Bob was born September 12, 1925 and raised in Union, Utah as the eldest child of Clifford and Arvil Graham. At the age of seventeen, he honorably served his country during World War II in the Army-Air Corp, and while serving he achieved the rank of sergeant. He married his sweetheart, Melba Brady, also of Union Utah, in 1949 and subsequently graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in psychology. Upon graduation Bob accepted a job in Southern California with Mobil Oil Corp. Bob retired in 1988 to St. George, Utah. Bob's hobbies included reading, camping, and hiking. He had a hunger for learning and a powerful curiosity for the world around him. Weekends in California were spent on family adventures from museums to surrounding hiking trails. Bob's greatest joys came when he was surround by family with his companion at his side. He gave his family a profound sense of comfort and security and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Melba Graham, of St. George, Utah. His children, Chris Graham, St. George, Utah, Dianne (Brett) Williams, Eagle Idaho, Allison (Frank) Hays, Ridgecrest, California, Paul (Lori) Graham, Highland Utah, 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. His sister Blanche (Don) Glaittli, sister Aleene (Mike) Allen both of Salt Lake City, Utah, brother Clifford Merlin Graham (Sharon Ramos) of Ogden, Utah. Funeral services with be held on Thursday December, 9th at Heideman Mortuary located 170 South Mall Drive. The viewing will be held from 12:30-1:45 pm and Funeral services will start at 2:00 pm. A Service will be held at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan Utah on December 11th 2004 12:00. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the same location. Interment will be in the Murray City Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Beverly Joyce Jensen St. George -- Beverly Joyce Jensen, age 75, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2004, in St. George. She was born April 15, 1929,in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Ernest Andrew and Mary Lucille Harrison Lehman. She married Grant Irvin Jensen on July 11,1947, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland Temple. They were together for 25 years and divorced. Joyce was born, raised, and educated in Salt Lake City, where she graduated from West High School. She and Grant started their family in Salt Lake City, later moving to the San Francisco area in 1957. Then, they retired to Santa Clara, Utah in 1972. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joyce loved sharing her musical talents by singing in the Messiah Choir. She taught Primary for many years. Some of Joyce's favorite pastimes were crocheting, needlework, sketching, and beautiful roses. She took pride in her role as a homemaker, and she often canned and shared it with her friends and family. Those who knew Joyce would describe her as one who enjoyed serving others and a woman of compassion with a forgiving spirit. Some of her fondest memories were the times she spent with her children and grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Joyce is survived by her: three sons, Bruce (Cathy) Jensen, of Las Vegas, NV, Randy (Lourdes) Jensen, of Orem, UT, and Ernest (Anna) Jensen, of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Marjorie Blakely, of Ririe, ID, and Susan (Rodney) Broadhead, of St. George, UT; 35 grandchildren; 34 greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Edna Stapley Bearnson, of Ivins, UT. She was preceded in death by her: parents; twin daughters, Jana Lee and Joyce Lee; granddaughter, Angie Jensen; and sister, Leah Marie Murphy. The family would like to express their appreciation to the wonderful staff at the St. George Care Center for the great care they gave our mother. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel. There will be viewings Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services, both at the Mortuary.
