Cornelius HENDERSON, NEVADA -- Marlin W. Cornelius, 52, passed away December 15, 2004. He was born September 21, 1952, in Cedar City. He worked as a Funeral Director. He was a member of the LDS Church and a Boy Scout leader. He is survived by his wife, Becki Cornelius; daughters, Heather Rego and Jessica Foster, all of Henderson, Nevada; sisters: Chris Atkin of St. George; Evelyn Nelson of Cedar City; brothers: Robert Cornelius of Minden, Nevada; Tom Cornelius of LaVerkin; Bruce Cornelius; and his mother, Christie Cornelius Hall, both of Cedar City; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse. Services will be held Friday, December 17, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. at Palm Mortuary -- Downtown, Las Vegas, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. GEORGE, UTAH -- Our beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Reatha Shepherd Gordon, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 13, 2004, at the age of 70, after a long illness. She was born on May 20, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas, a daughter of Malcolm and Beulah Shepherd. There she met her sailor, Dal J. Gordon. They were married on October 8, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Her passing was ten months short of their 50th anniversary. Reatha spent her life in the service of others without complaint of her illness. She retired in 1990 as a supervisor from the Salt Lake City and County Health Department. She moved to St. George in 2000 to be close to her daughter. She made lifelong friends wherever she was. She will be missed by many. Mom leaves us too soon, but her example of love, kindness, and service will be in our hearts forever. Reatha is survived by her: husband, Dal; children, Scott (Tammy), Mark (Lexie), Laurie (Chad), and Lisa; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnny (Sue); a sister, Pat (Max); and many others. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and a son-in-law. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Middleton Ward Chapel, 860 N. Fairway Dr., Washington, UT. There will be a viewing Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services, at the Chapel. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George. Friends and family are invited to offer their condolences at www.spilsburymortuary.com. Raymona Edwards Sherratt CEDAR CITY -- Raymona Edwards Sherratt, 83, passed away December 13, 2004 in Reno, NV. She was born May 26, 1921 in Cedar City, UT to William D. Edwards and Estelle Lee. Raymona lived in Cedar City from 1921 to 1963 then moved to Las Vegas. In 2003, she moved to Yeringon, NV. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Cub Scout leader while in Cedar City. While in Las Vegas, she worked in various hotels as a waitress. She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. Raymona is survived by her son Guy L. Williams of Sparks, NV; daughter Michael (James) Wobser of Hyampom, CA; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons William and Charlie Sherratt, daughter Barbara Heinz, brother William Edwards Jr. and sister Mildred Jones. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
