Dowse ST. GEORGE, UT -- Faye S. Dowse passed away December 26, 2004 in St. George, Utah. She was born on June 21, 1916 in Axtel, San Pete County, Utah to Mads Peter Sorensen, Jr. and Josephine Carlsen Sorensen. She married Edward L. Dowse on July 25, 1936 in Ogden, Utah. During WWII she worked at Tooele Ordinance Depot testing ammunition where she was awarded a sharp shooters medal. She was the only woman on the firing line. After the war she worked at Hillfield for a number of years. She then decided to turn her and her husband's hobby into a lapidary supply and rock shop in Salt Lake City. They had one of the largest shops in the inter mountian region. After her husband died in 1987 she moved to St. George, Utah. She is survived by three nephews and eight nieces who all loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Hazel Jean Jensen; Grace Josephine Bringman, Jennetta Brimhall and Erma Eanes; her brothers, Gilbert Mads Sorensen, Ivan Sorensen and Kenneth Sorensen. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004, 11 a.m., Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 300 W. St. George Blvd. Visitation will be held Thursday, 10-10:30 a.m., prior to the services at the mortuary. Lloyd Wesley Rawlins 03/12/35 ~ 12/20/04 'On the Road Again' Lloyd Wesley Rawlins, 69, passed away on December 20, 2004 at his home in St. George, Utah. Wes was born on March 12, 1935 in Logan, Utah to Lloyd A. Rawlins and Hulda G. Zbinden. He was educated at Edgewater High School where he graduated in 1953. He joined the United States Navy in 1954 serving 3 tours in the Vietnam War. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he spent a number of years working for Mountain Fuel & Supply before his retirement. Wes then moved to St. George where he lived until his passing. Wes is survived by a daughter, Kim Horn, a son, Steve L. Rawlins, step-children Vicky Woodward, Lori Woodward, Terese Jenson (David), and Reaves Worrell; two brothers, Richard A. Rawlins (Patsy), and Douglas K. Rawlins (Julie), a brother-in-law, Robert LeMaistre, as well as 7 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by second wife Janice Lynn Woodward, by third wife, Lillian Bingham, parents Lloyd A. Rawlins & Hulda G. Zbinden, and a sister, Susan J. LeMaistre. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may meet with family 1 hour prior to services at the Lakeview Memorial viewing room. Joey Wayne Wheeler Joey Wayne Wheeler, 29, passed away December 11, 2004 in Los Angeles, CA. He had been working with his brother-in-law Randy Peterson remodeling hotels. Joey was born April 28, 1975 to Ronald Lee and Karen Sue Rose Wheeler in San Bernardino, CA. Joey enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with his dad and brothers, water skiing, golfing, and camping. He loved his family and his mother and father were perfect in his eyes. He was 8 months away from earning his degree in Culinary Arts at UVSC in Orem. Anyone who knew him knew "The man could cook." Joey loved his family so much; his nieces and nephews meant the world to him. Joey was many things: an amazing cook, soft hearted, and forgiving. Joey's brother Jeffry preceded him in death August 13, 2004, and a part of Joey died with him. Joey is survived by his father Ronald Lee Wheeler; his mother Karen Sue Fullmer of Cedar City; grandmother Genevieve Rose; brothers Jon Jay Wheeler and Jeremy Lee Wheeler, and sister Jill Irene Peterson. Joey's big heart, beautiful eyes, great hugs, amazing cooking will be missed by us all. His love will live with us all forever. Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Chapel, 290 W 1045 N, Cedar City under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Condolences may be sent through our Web site at ww.southernutahmortuary.com. Nell S. Wilson Nell S. Wilson died December 23, 2004 in California. Nell was born, the oldest of seven children, to Victor Leon Sylvester and Sarah Elizabeth Roundy on June 28, 1914 in Kernersville, Utah. Nell lived in Hurricane, Cedar City, St. George and Tropic Utah, before moving to California in 1996 after her husband died. Nell married Edwin Harvey Stout on January 30, 1930 and were later divorced. They had four children, Vern Jim (Dixie) Stout (both deceased), LaNitta (Ernie) Myers (deceased), Maida (Bob) Anderson and Connie (Jim, deceased) Robinson. Nell married George Wilson on December 23, 1948 where they moved to Tropic, Utah. George had three children, David (Judy) Wilson, Zoe McKendrick and JoAnn Lither. Nell was active in the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings. Nell and George had seven children, 41 grandchildren, and about 186 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Orland, California Ward Chapel December 29, 2004 at 1 P.M. Internment will be in the Orland City Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 P.M. on January 3, 2005, at the LDS Chapel on 400 North 700 West in Provo, Utah.
