He was born October 27, 1928 in Bowling Green, Missouri, a son of Walter Legora and Lula Jeffrey Dixon Boston. William was raised and educated in San Jose, California. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After an honorable discharge from military service, he chose a career with the U.S. Border Patrol and I.N.S. He married Linda Fran Bartlett in 1973. William was an avid collector. Also, he enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and Linda moved to La Verkin in 2001, where he enjoyed the wonderful red rock vistas and clean fresh air. William was considered the Patriarch of the family and he will be greatly missed. Surviving family include his: wife, Linda, of La Verkin, UT; son, Stephen (Kim) Boston, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; daughter, Kathie (Von) Mason, of Alton, UT; stepchildren, Staci (Jeff) Short, of Visilia, CA, Monty (Nina) Dillard, of Seaside, CA, and Darren Dillard, of Seaside, CA; 19 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sister, Norma (Alnis) Ramanis, of San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary. Visitations will be held Monday, November 22, 2004 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., prior to services, both at the Mortuary. Interment will be at the Toquerville City Cemetery, Toquerville, UT. Arrangements are made under the direction of Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. GEORGE -- Elsie Houston Mikesell, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away November 19, 2004, in St. George, Utah. She was born July 5, 1925, to Samuel and Elsie Houston in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Fred P. Oblad Mikesell June 4, 1943. Elsie loved her family and had a special fondness for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Fred; son Michael (Cherrie); daughter Sherry (Danny); five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter; Terresa Marie Ott. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at 11 a.m., at Washington City Cemetery, 150 N. 300 E., Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., prior to the graveside.
