The two seemed inseparable these last few years, both depending on and taking care of one another. Over the last few years Larry was stricken with a number of illnesses, no matter how well he would recover from one misfortune it seemed a number of other physical difficulties would build up on him until his body just couldn't take anymore. He is survived by his mother; Joy, son; Ben, sister; Susan, his niece Hilary Hamel Ruesch and her husband Brandon, and their wonderful daughter Lily, whom Larry was crazy about. Benny divorced in 1982 and later married Norma Hodges. Norma had two children, Tina and Wes. They adored Benny and he them. Benny and Norma moved to Las Vegas, NV where he adjusted to the city life and big corporations, but he still loved the country and outdoors. Everyone talked about Benny and his nine lives. He was like an accident waiting to happen, surviving several near death calls. Benny was unaware until two weeks ago that his lung was full of cancer. His last days were an example of how he lived his life, with a lot of courage and positive attitude.
