She was born in Levant, Kansas, March 22, 1929, and resided in California until 1993, when she and her husband, Roy Smoot, relocated to St. George and later, Santa Clara, Utah. Wanda had a Personnel Employment Service in San Bernardino for a number of years. She was a great organizer, whether it was yard sales or parties, which she and her husband liked to host. They were a great couple on the dance floor. Wanda also loved to play the piano and sing. She is survived by her: husband, Roy, of Santa Clara; a son, Mark Smoot, of Reno, NV; a daughter, Kelli Smoot, of Woodland, CA; one granddaughter, Rory, also of Woodland, CA; three brothers, Glenn Byers, of Bloomington, CA, Jerry Byers, of Union, OR, and Bill Byers, of Newhall, CA; and one sister, Marilyn Kisner, of Vail, AZ; as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S.
