He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on January 24, 1940 to Lester Perry Willtrout and Jewell Beatrice Fisher. He married Betty Avis Crouch on May 2, 1981 in Boulder, Colorado. Ken grew up and was educated in Iowa. He started his career in the paint business at the age of 18 and has ended it at Jones Paint and Glass. He loved to play baseball and softball. His pastime was fishing, which he was looking forward to doing more of. He loved to travel and since he and Betty married, they have taken many wonderful vacations and created great memories. For the last year and a half, they have served together at the St. George Care Center as a calling for the LDS Church. Ken loved this calling and loved the ones he served with, as well as the ones he served. Ken had many friends through life. He enjoyed seeing old friends and the making of new ones. He will be greatly missed by all. Ken's biggest love in life was his family. He was a very special dad to his two girls. There was a great love between them. They loved to watch ball games, go to rodeos, and attend NASCAR events whenever possible. We will miss you Daddy. He is survived by his wife Betty, daughters, Amy and Julie, and Aunt, Fern Dilley of Muscatine, IA. He is preceded in death by his son, David Scott, parents, Jewell and Lester, and Uncle, Thomas Dilley of Muscatine, IA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the River Road Chapel under the direction of Heideman Mortuary. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services.
