GEORGE, Utah - Jessie Rosales, 89, died Aug. 11, 2005, in St. George. She was born in Santa Barbara, Mexico, on June 29, 1916. She is survived by her children: David (Debra) Rosales of St. George and Rick (Gale) Espinosa, of Glendale, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Burial will be on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at noon at the St. George City Cemetery. Originally published August 14, 2005 Richard Wayne 'Dick' Price Richard Wayne "Dick" Price passed away peacefully at his home in Cedar City, Utah at 10:25 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dick was born in Cedar City on July 15, 1941 to Edwin and Ora Price. He was the fourth of four sons. Dick married Darlene Strasser, on July 30, 1972. Together they raised five sons. Dick loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time on the Mountain with his family. Dick worked very hard throughout his life mastering many trades, but he was a Cowboy at heart. He loved horses and rodeos and was happiest when he was riding his horse. Dick faced many obstacles and challenges in his life but remained kind and generous. He was always the first one to help someone in need, and was a friend to everyone he met. Dick was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers Francis Price and James Price. He is survived by his wife Darlene, brother Kenneth (Lilo) Price of El Paso Texas, his sons Wade (Marie) Rhodes, Mark (Mary Ann) Rhodes, Christopher Rhodes, Scott (Malinda) Rhodes, Clayton (Janette) Price, Lynn (Mindy) Price all of Cedar City, 11 grandsons and four granddaughters Dick will always be loved and missed by his family. Originally published August 14, 2005 Patricia Ann Walley Werner ST. GEORGE, UT - Patricia Ann Walley Werner, age 72, passed away 7 August 2005, in St. George, Utah. She was born 20 November 1932 in Racine, Wisconsin to William Carl and Pansy Estelle Underwood Walley. She married James Arthur Werner on 31 January 1953, in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. James passed away on 24 September 1983. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and held many callings including: Stake Missionary, primary teacher, visiting teacher, pianist and organist. Patricia worked in clerk and secretarial positions for an insurance company, and aircraft parts company and others. Her hobbies were music, playing piano and organ, handiwork such as crocheting and knitting, raising plants. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter, parents, brother William C. Walley Jr., and sister Shirley J. Sutter. She is survived by a daughter; Laurie (Jerry) Castillo, grandson Samuel J. Castillo, granddaughter Arwen A. Castillo, all of Orem, Utah; sister Vivian Torgerson of Indiana, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 16 August 2005, 10 a.m., St. George City Cemetery. Originally published August 14, 2005 Mabel Barber KANAB, Utah - Maria Antonia Mabel Saiz Barber, age 73, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at her home in Kanab, Utah. She was born July 5, 1932 in Rio Tesuque, New Mexico to Felicita Baca and Eppimenio Saiz. She married Conrad Byron Barber in San Francisco, California, and was later sealed in the Oakland LDS Temple on April 15, 1965. Mabel was a fun-loving character with a great sense of humor. She loved playing horseshoes, working with ceramics, and dancing. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, buying shoes and jewelry, going out to eat, and the marble game Aggravation. As an active member of the LDS Church, Mabel served a mission as compassionate service advisor to Spanish speaking sisters in Oakland, CA for many years. She also served in Relief Society Presidencies and in Young Women's Auxiliaries in Oakland Wards and Branches. Above all, Mabel was a dedicated mother and housewife, putting her family above all else. Her family will miss her great cooking, especially the chili colorado and homemade tortillas. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, and the warm spirit she brought to family gatherings will be greatly missed. Survivors include husband Conrad Barber of Kanab, UT; children Sandra Blades of Auburn, CA, Pete Rivera of Rocklin, CA, Buck Barber of Florida, Cora Barber of Florida, Harry (Melissa) Barber of Kanab, UT, and Gary Barber of Auburn, CA; brother Eduardo (Sandra) Saiz of Auburn, CA; sister Dolores (Norman) Brandt of San Leandro, CA; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Kanab Utah Stake Center. Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45 AM at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. The family wishes to express special thanks to Southern Utah Hospice and other health care workers for their loving care over the past few months. Originally published August 14, 2005 Mary Gretchen Wiseman MILFORD - Mary Gretchen Wiseman, 72, passed away at the Milford Valley Long Tern Care Center August 11, 2005.She was born on July 4, 1932 in Livingston, Montana to Orlando Thomas & Ruby Siderius Conley.She married Lyle Wiseman January 31, 1952 in Twin Fails, Idaho.They were later divorced. Mary spent her lifetime in the medical profession serving as a Physician's Assistant in Milford hospital for over 25 years.She was a member of the ESA Sorority and the BPW of Milford. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining.She loved to go to the mountains especially hiking.She also enjoyed going to Mexico and going fishing with her sister. She is survived by her two sons, Scott (Cindy) Wiseman and Jeffrey (Joyce) Wiseman all of Milford.She has 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Two sisters, Arlene Hatcher of Castro Valley, California and Irene Warr of Salt Lake City, Utah.She was preceded in death fy her mother and father.
