GEORGE - Franklin Lamar Bluth passed away August 19, 2005 in St. George, Utah. He was born December 25, 1916 in Binghampton, Arizona to Carl Emil Bluth and Clara Farnsworth Bluth. Born under the Covenant, he was a High Priest and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He fulfilled numerous callings including two full time missions. The first was to Central America with his first wife and mother of his children, Evelyn R. Stephens Bluth, deceased June 24, 1980; and the second was to New York State with Janice Mangum Bluth. He was the father of Karen L. Hollcraft, South Pasadena CA; Stephen Lamar Bluth, West Lake Village, CA; Judith Ann Morgan, South Pasadena, CA; Debora G. Garges, Westchester, CA; Melanie Rae Roberts, South Pasadena, CA; William and Daniel Case Bluth (adopted); 29 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren and counting. As a civilian during World War II in the Pacific Theater he was the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Freedom for his service to the United States of America. After the war while employed by Douglas Aircraft co. he moved his family from Santa Monica, CA to El Paso, TX. In the mid fifties he returned to Santa Monica prior to retirement in St. George. He had a wonderful tenor voice and enjoyed singing in the choir, spoke fluent Spanish and was an accomplished equestrian. He possessed a very active mind and remained physical up until his last week. His humor, wit and energy will be missed by those who loved and associated with him. By now he has been greeted by throngs of loved ones on the other side of the veil and will await our passing and the first resurrection. Visitations will be held on Monday, August 22, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services, both at the mortuary. Originally published August 22, 2005 Braison Coe Hullinger ST. GEORGE - Our loving son, brother and grandson returned to his Heavenly Father on August 19, 2005. He was born October 11, 1994 in St. George, UT, son of Clayton and Julie Christensen Hullinger. Braison was so loved by his family and friends and all those who knew him. He had a soft heart and compassion for everyone. Braison was a 5th grader at Panorama Elementary. He loved his friends and was with them at the time of his death. He has always been adventurous and loved the outdoors. He was an avid wake boarder and snow boarder, enjoying all sports and was looking forward to playing tackle football this year. He loved his Heavenly Father and was looking forward to becoming a new Scout in October. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and especially his family. He is survived by his parents; sister, Stacia Lyn age 17; brother, Chaz Micah age14; grandparents: Dan & Jeanne Earl of St. George, UT, Craig & Robyn Christensen of Tremonton, UT, and Gilbert & Alice Hullinger of Roosevelt, UT; great grandparents: Maxine Garn of Fielding, UT, Mary Christensen of Tremonton, UT, and Hollis G. & Grace Hullinger of Roosevelt, UT. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Arake Hullinger; great grandparents, Oleen Garn, Gaylen Christensen and Ernest Hansen; and great grandmother, Elaine Hullinger. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2005, 11 a.m., Red Cliffs LDS Chapel, 259 N. Mall Dr., St. George, UT. Visitations will be on Monday, August 21, 6-8 p.m., Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. Originally published August 22, 2005 Elmer Daniel Mitchell Elmer Daniel Mitchell passed away Friday, August 19, 2005 at his home in St. George, Utah. He was born February 7, 1923 in Hayden, Duchesne County, Utah to Dennis J. and Margaret Atkinson Mitchell. He was a member of the LDS Church and lived the principles of his faith. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Morella Anderton Mitchell; daughter Judith Mitchell Schaub; grandchildren: Mona Kae Leiber (Jeff), Dianna J. Friend, James W. Chappell (Tammy), Linda Schaub; sister, Edna Crapo of Portland, Oregon and eight great-grand children. Preceded in death by sons, James E. Mitchell and Kendall D. Mitchell; a special granddaughter Suzanne Rae Mitchell, his parents; five brothers; four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing at Hullinger Mortuary in Roosevelt, Utah on Tuesday August 22nd, 7 to 9 pm. Graveside ceremonies will be at the Neola Cemetery on August 23rd at 11:00.
