GEORGE, UTAH - Venice Vay Boyer, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005, in Logan, Utah. She was born January 28, 1929, in Ferron, Utah, to Fred and Lapreal Chidester Wayman. She married Albert Cleo Boyer on December 8, 1951, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on February 10, 1973. Venice was born in Ferron and raised in Molen, Utah. She moved to Salt Lake City where she met her husband, Shortey, and during their life together they lived in California, Mesquite, Ne- vada, and St. George. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Soft spoken, kind, gentle, always doing for others, and completely devoted to her chil- dren are ways that her friends and family remember her. For many years, Venice worked as a seamstress for the Kellwood Company in St. George. She loved animals and often took in stray cats and dogs. They always had a home with her until they decided to leave. She enjoyed working in her flower gar- dens, as well as making hunting vests, sleeping bags, and blan- kets for family and friends. Surviving family include her: daughter, Janis (Steve) Kirtland, of Phoenix, AZ; son, Albert Boyer, of Logan, UT; siblings, Lyman, Keith, Alice, and Inez; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and siblings, Farren, Owen, Hal, and Delores. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary Chap- el, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, with a viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery. Haun, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Yu- ba City, CA. at the age of 77. She was born on May 8, 1928 in Lewistown, MT. to Andrew & Pearl Christensen. She married George Feisthamel in 1950. They divorced in 1972. In 1973 she married her childhood sweet- heart, Earl (Jack) Haun. They were married 30 years until his death. Evelyn was raised in Montana. She graduated from Custer High School in Miles City, MT. She worked for the Billings Chamber of Commerce, Bureau of Indian Affairs in Billings, MT, the Naval Station in San Diego, CA, the U.S. Forest Service in Coeur d'Alene, ID, Western Area Power Administration in Billings, MT. where she retired. Evelyn worked as a secretary for 42 years. She then volunteered at Deaconess Hospital in Billings. She and Earl retired to St. George, Utah in 1994. She loved to garden and work with her hands. Evelyn was able to enjoy five cruises, her last one this July. She is preceded in death by her son, Ricky Feisthamel, in 1973 and her loving husband, Earl, in 2004, and her parents. She is survived by her children: Lynda Wright of Yuba City, CA, Lanette Singleton of Jackson Hole, WY, Randall Feisthamel of Colstrip, MT, and Jack Haun of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Anna of As- pen, CO, Ben of Jackson Hole, WY, Katie of Riverton, WY, Me- ghan of Yuba City, CA, Natasha of Colstrip, MT, Kyle of Denver, CO, and Jennifer of Billings, MT. Evelyn is also survived by her sister Marie Mathern of Security, CO, Andrew (Chris) Christensen of Livingston, TX, Paul Christen- sen of Meza, AZ, and Dee Hainer of Billings, MT. A public graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27th at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Drive in St. George, UT at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221. GEORGE - Barbara Jeanne Lehman, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at her home in St. George. She was born September 3, 1921, in San Francisco, California, to Herbert R. and Mary Chase Kenyon Kendall. She married Thomas Joseph Lehman on January 27, 1943, in Piedmont, California. Barbara was raised in California. After high school graduation, she attended the University of Arizo- na, where she met her husband. They lived in Cananea, Mexico, during Tom's employment with Anaconda Copper Mines. In No- vember of 1972, Barbara re- turned to California to care for her mother. She moved to St. George in 1993 to be near her son, Bruce. She enjoyed sports, old movies, music, writing letters, and her computer. Surviving family include her sons, Bruce (Judy) Lehman, of Enterprise, UT, Richard (Melle) Kendall, of Salt Lake City, UT; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preced- ed in death by her: husband, Tom; daughter, Susan; and grandson, Tom. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 29, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Spilsbury Mor- tuary Chapel. Originally published August 26, 2005 Claude J. (Moon) Mullis 1907-2005 ST. GEORGE - Claude J. Mullis, at age 98, passed away August 20, 2005 in St. George Utah. He was born July 30, 1907 to Harvey and Anne Mullis, in Mt. Pleasant, Cobanus County, North Carolina. He married Hazel Emily Langton on October 6, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Hazel, his daughter Bever- ly, four grandchildren Sandra, Steven, Patsy, Diane, 14 great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, his siblings Ka- therine, Mildred, Robert and Leroy. After his wife, Hazel, his pas- sions in life were golf and gar- dening. He produced large gar- dens of his own, and planted and maintained considerable gardens for his friends and neighbors. Claude also loved his lifelong ca- reer as a purchasing agent for the Army and Air Force Ex- change in the Pacific Rim, a job that provided an opportunity for him and Hazel to live in Japan for three years. He played golf several times a week and at age 80 started hit- ting his age.
