He was born June 5, 1949 to Bessie May Green and Bert Elvin Clark in Park City, Utah. Dennis grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah and had a love for the outdoors, which was evident in his enjoyment of hunting, fishing, boating and horse racing. He had a "green thumb" and enjoyed gardening and raising game fowl. At the age of 16 he joined the Navy, served four years and is a Vietnam veteran. He was employed by Geneva Steel for 20 years as an electrician and was honored at two separate times for his inventions that were used by the company. Dennis lived in Ivins, Utah for 12 years and in Central, Utah for a year prior to his death. Dennis is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons, Dennis Bert Clark, Jr., of St. George, UT, Steven Wade Clark and Anthony James Clark, both of West Jordan, UT; seven grandchildren; parents, Bert and Bessie Clark; a brother and three sisters. He is preceded in death by one brother. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 5, 1 p.m., Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held at 12-12:45 p.m., prior to the services at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd. Arrangements are under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221. Originally published December 3, 2005 William Terril Hunt BERYL - William Terril Hunt, age 85, passed away December 2, 2005, at his home in Beryl. He was born January 24, 1920, in Enterprise, Utah, to Thomas Elmer and Emma Day Hunt. He married Edith Graves on January 22, 1945, in Portland, Oregon. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on September 26, 1947. Bill was raised in Enterprise. He spent his summers on the family ranch west of town where he grew to love animals and learned to work with horses and cattle. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1938. He entered the United States Army in 1941 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He has been a farmer and rancher in the Escalante Valley since returning home, bringing his lovely bride from Oregon with him. Together they have raised a wonderful family of nine children. Bill is well known around Southern Utah and Nevada for his hay trucking business. He loved the time he spent on Kolob with his cattle in recent summers. He was a hard worker all his life. He loved his family and church and was a great example to everyone. Not only did he have an exceptional work ethic, but he was a man of true integrity. Bill had a natural talent for working with cattle and horses and will forever be known as the last of the real cowboys! He is survived by his: wife, Edith, of Beryl; children, Roy William (Carmen), of Cedar City, Carol Lee (Robert) Mathews, of Panaca, NV, Gaylene (Wayne) Platt, of New Castle, Marita (Mark) Wirght, of Hiko, NV, Terril C. (Julie), of Beryl, Kristine (Ed) Higbee, of Alamo, NV, Annette (Craig) Turley, of Las Vegas, NV, Darla (Todd) Wadsworth, of Kimberly, ID, and Shawn Graves (Sharla), of Enterprise; 51 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Jones, of Enterprise; brother, Floyd, of St. George, Preston, of Taylorsville, UT, and Larry, of Enterprise. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clair, Elwin, Ellis, and Ivin; and one sister, Ollie Jones. Funeral services will be Monday, December 5, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Stake Center, 88 South Center. A first viewing will be held Sunday, December 4, at Spilsbury Mortuary from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and a second viewing will be held Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services, at the Stake Center. Originally published December 3, 2005 Jack Ruesch ST. GEORGE - Jack Ruesch, age 86, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2005, in St. George. He was born June 5, 1919, in Springdale, Utah, to Oren Ruesch and Alberta Flanigan Ruesch. He married Melva Spendlove on October 14, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple on May 1, 1947. They had 68 wonderful years of loving companionship. Jack was very proud to have served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Jack and Melva lived most of their married life in St. George where he worked at Worthen Service as the "Radiator Man." He loved to hunt and camp out in the mountains, but he was happiest spending time with his wife and family. He loved to play the harmonica and sing songs with his kids. Jack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Melva were called to do sealings in the St. George Temple. He served in the Sunday School, MIA Presidency, and in Scouting. He is survived by his: loving wife, Melva; sons, Roger (Marsha), of Salt Lake City, and Vernal (Rosalee), of Ivins; brothers, Clair (Doris), of Washington City, and Burdell (Verla), of Glendale, UT; and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his: parents, Oren and Alberta; two youngest sons, Don (Colleen), formerly of Ely, NV, and Dale Vance (Jeannie, formerly of St. George; oldest granddaughter, Lailani Lorene; and brothers, Bertrand, Lyman, Jay, Oren, Jr., and Garrett. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., prior to services, at the Mortuary.
