Davis MINERSVILLE - Dasial R. Davis, 85, passed away February 25, 2005 at the Valley View Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born June 11, 1919 in Minersville, Utah to Owen and Chloe Ester Rollins Davis. He married Wilma Eliza Myers July 23, 1938 in Minersville and their marriage was later solemnized in the St George LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Minersville High School. He served as the Mayor of Minersville and American Legion Commander. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was member of the LDS Church and served many positions. He enjoyed hunting for pine nuts and rocks. Daises always had a beautiful vegetable garden. He enjoyed being in the mountain. He loved to fix things and helped many people in Minersville with their projects. His famous garage had anything in it that anyone wanted to borrow. His pride and joy was his daughters and grandchildren. Daises is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Jack) McMullin of Minersville, Son-in-Law Gary (Judy) Beddingfield of St George, he has five grandchildren, Todd (Robin) McMullin, Rod (Kathi) Mcmullin, David (Kristie) McMullin, Lance and (Heidi) Beddingfield and Derrik Beddingfield and 7 step grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He also raised a niece Jane (Gary) Blackner. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Shirleen Beddingfield, two brothers, Sherral Owen and Van Elmer Davis and two sisters, Lela Evans and Velma McAfee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Minersville LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday evening at the Church in Minersville from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Church. Originally published February 28, 2005 Thomas Dee Little Thomas Dee Little, 86, passed away February 25, 2005 in Cedar City, UT. He was born May 3, 1918 in Glendale, UT to Thomas David Little and Thirza Mahalia Watson. He married Mary Jane Dowd on July 19, 1949 in Nevada. Dee moved to Cedar in his youth and helped his father on the farm. He graduated from Cedar High in 1937. He spent five years in the Army in WWII. Upon returning from service, he engaged himself in several skills, ultimately becoming a master brick mason. Dee has built from the ground up several beautiful buildings still standing in Cedar City. He loved horses, livestock, gardening, Cedar Mountain, and cutting firewood. He was a very devoted family man who loved his kids and grandkids very much. He enjoyed telling stories and had a great sense of humor. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed helping out with scouting. He is survived by his children Mary Jo Matheson of Livermore, CA, Thomas James Little, Lauren Dowd Little, and Richard Brent Little all of Cedar City, UT; 5 grandsons and 4 great grandsons; brother Gary (Carolyn) Little of Cedar City, UT; and sisters Wanda Brown of Centerville, UT and Thirza (Joe) Robinson of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane; sisters Laura Little, Velle Lilljenquist, and Marie Hatherell; and brother Dixon Little. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar 4th Ward. Friends and family may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary and Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery. Quilter HENRIEVILLE, Utah - Eugene Oliver Quilter, 78 of Henrieville, Utah, passed away on February 25, 2005 in Panguitch, Utah. He was born November 25, 1926 in Henrieville to Mary Elizabeth Atherley and Harry Quilter Jr.Quilter. He married Ethel Clark June 4, 1954 in the St. George Temple. He was a school bus driver for many years in the Bryce Valley area. He was a farmer and was known in the area for his peaches and potatoes. He was and active member of the LDS Church, serving several years as Sunday School Superintendent, 10 years as ward clerk, he also served in many other capacities. He was a High Priest in the Henrieville Ward. He is survived by his wife, LaKay of Henrieville; children, Eugene "Gene" (Tenisa) Quilter of Escalante and Shawna (Andy) Mortensen of Henrieville; seven grandchildren, Cody Mortensen serving in Iraq, Kami, Curtis Mortensen; Callie, Chelsi, Carly, Dalton Quilter; brother and sister, Glen (Evelyn) Quilter of Woods Cross and Thelma (Clive) Bybee of Tropic, preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters Melvin (Clara) Quilter, James (Virginia) Quilter, Mary (Bryan) Johnson, Virginia (Thorley) Johnson; sister-in-law, Mary Quilter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Henrieville LDS Ward chapel.
