Bronson Marlynn S. Bronson, age 50, passed away on July 8, 2005 in Cedar City, Utah. We lost our beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, wife and sister. She was a powerful and supportive force in the lives of her children and touched the lives of all she encountered. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. She was born on September 5, 1954 in Brigham City, Utah to Leslie King and Betty Lou Bronson Smith. She has four children, Tracy, Shawn, Kristin and Todd, three grandchildren, Jaedyn, Madison and Alex, and has always been very proud of her family and their accomplishments. She attended Bonneville High School, graduating with honors. After raising her four children, she went to nursing school and developed a career in Trauma Nursing. She later worked as a registered nurse in Hospice, caring for and comforting others. She received her BSN from California State Dominquez Hills. She also attended Palomar College to receive her degree in Nursing and became an MICN at the Sharp Memorial, giving triage orders in trauma situations. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Southern Utah Mortuary Chapel. He was born on June 28, 1929 in Cedar City, Utah to Clarence Andy and Mabel Dover Cripps. He married Geraldine Ruth Painter on January 8, 1949 in Cedar City, Utah, later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Together raised four children, Kendall, Debbie, Sandra and Karen. In his early years, he was active in sports and in the community. He was president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees. He received the Young Man of the Year Award in 1963 and was president of the Young Men's Association. While he was president of the Chamber of Commerce, he was instrumental in the establishment of the Chamber and information building located on the City Park. Keith worked and later owned Keith's Westside Grocery for over forty years. He loved working and helping people in our community. Many people will remember him for his generosity and kindness. He will always be remembered by the students who walked home from North Elementary and stopped in for penny candy. All of his children and grandchildren have special memories of going to the store after Sunday dinner for a treat. Keith was a man of great integrity and expected the same of his family and others. He is an example of hard work and service. He loved his family and always made sure they were taken care of. The family would like to thank the medical staff that aided in his care. Survivors include his wife Geraldine Cripps of Cedar City, Utah; children Kendall (Judy) Cripps of Cedar City, Debbie (Scott) Nelson of Cedar City, Sandra (Jay) Shepherd of Orem, Utah, Karen (Kurt) Kupfer of Ogden, Utah; brothers Gary (Helen) Cripps of Magna, Richard (Verla) Cripps of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brent Cripps; sisters Lois (Rex) Hulet of Cedar City, Cleone (Lavar) Hirschi of Las Vegas, LaRue (Dee) Bleak of St. George, Utah; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mabel Cripps, and his two brothers, Chester Cripps and Bruce Cripps. Originally published July 11, 2005 Samuel Nephi Duran Samuel Nephi Duran, 19, Passed away in Hurricane, Utah, July 6, 2005, due to an automobile accident. He was born July 7, 1985 in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Samuel Duran Jr. and Maria Esther Heredia Duran. He was raised in South Texas along the Rio Grande Valley until the age of 16. "Nephi," as his family knew him, attended Hurricane High school. He was working at Orgill. He enjoyed being around family and friends. Nephi loved art and was very talented in drawing. He was a deep thinker and wrote poems. Nephi was very kind and considerate towards his siblings. Nephi was entering a time in life when he was beginning to recognize many of his youthful weaknesses and had made great effort and progress to overcome them. He showed his parents and siblings how much he loved them. He was always gentle and kind with everyone he met. There are many persons that when they met him and most especially, when they got the opportunity to know him well recognized his great strengths and talents. Nephi was an adventurous spirit who delighted in exploring life and getting to know people. He had a way of charming his way into your heart. This was done most naturally, as this was his true nature. He was planning to marry with Jacy Elizabeth Edwards in November. Nephi will be missed most profoundly. He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Esther Duran, Sisters, Anna Lisa, age 17, Alba Esther age 16, Sariah Asenath, age 11, Brothers Ernesto Mahonri Morriancummer, age 14, David Joseph age 12. He is preceded in Death by his grandfather, Samuel Duran Sr. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 Monday, July 11, 2005 at The LDS Chapel , 1200 S. 700 W. Hurricane, Utah. Originally published July 11, 2005 Kenneth George Millerberg ST. GEORGE, UT - Kenneth George Millerberg, 88, passed away July 8, 2005 in St. George, UT. He was born April 23, 1917 in Salt Lake City, UT to George James Millerberg and Ethel Maude Terry. Kenneth married Bettie Jensen on Jan. 3, 1942 at March AFB in Riverside, CA. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Kenneth later married Marjory Lou Leonard Ruesch on Jan. 28, 1984 in St. George, UT. Kenneth was born and raised in Midvale, UT. He served honorably in the Army Air Corp. with the Flying Tigers in India and China during World War II. He was a master mechanic and had a real love of automobiles. He owned and managed a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in CA for many years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Temple ordinance worker. Above all else, he was a good husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great love for this country, his family, and his friends. Kenneth is survived by his wife Marjory Lou Millerberg, his son Drew (Janet) Millerberg, his stepchildren Carol (Mike) Gibson, Jon (Anahir) Ruesch, Don (Lonnie) Ruesch, Brent (Janelle) Ruesch, Marilyn (John) Lee, Nancy (Ted) Harrison, 32 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife Bettie, and his sister Arva Hepworth. Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 6-8 p.m., Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. GEORGE, UTAH - George Evan Taylor, age 58, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005, at his home, surrounded by his wife and children, in St. George. He was born November 19, 1946, in Phoenix, Arizona, a son of George Washington and Naomi Kathalee Martin Taylor. He married Janet Grigg on November 22, 1967, in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Evan was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in his youth he served a mission in Minnesota. More recently, Evan and Janet were called to serve a Social Service Mission at Purgatory, where he also taught a religion class. He and his family have lived in Washington, Utah, and St. George for the past 25 years. He was a professional Boy Scout Executive in Phoenix, an insurance salesman, and he had a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Special Education. Evan loved to substitute teach. He also enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with his family. Surviving family include his: wife of nearly 39 years, Janet, of St. George; children, Stephen Evan Taylor, of St. George, daughter, Amanda Townsend, of Logan, UT, Nathan Evan (Kara) Taylor, of Westminster, MD, Luna (Dave) Hutter, of St. George, Kathalee (Tyler) Hunt, of Ivins, and Joy Taylor, of St. George; 13 grandchildren; and sister, Luann (Steven P.)Plumb, of Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Buena Vista Stake Center, 860 N. Fairway Dr., Washington, UT. Originally published July 11, 2005 Mary June Brewer Wright Our wonderful Mary passed away in her sleep July 8th, 2005. She was born September 30, 1936 to Preston S. Brewer and Nellie June Bell in Salt Lake City, Utah. Graduate of Granite High School. She just celebrated her 50th year class reunion last year and she had a wonderful time. She touched so many lives. She married Ernest Lamb, later divorced. Married Paul D. Wright August 5, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. Mary gave birth to 6 children and raised two stepchildren and adopted many other children in her heart. Her greatest life's goal was the "love" she gave to her family. Many happy times were shared at her home with the "swimming pool" and piano, dancing. As a member of the LDS Church, she held many church positions since the age of 15. Preferring to work with children and youth programs, in music drama and dance. She was also known for her dance studio in Sandy, Utah for 5 years and hostess for a conservative count of 10,000 people in her swimming pool "over a period of 20 years." She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Lee of Idaho; brothers, Don S. Brewer and Roy H. Brewer of Utah; children, Shaundra and Rick Lunore of Washington, Chad and Renee Wright of Utah, Michelle and John Alexander of Arizona, Leslie and Scott Johnson of Utah, Brett Lamb of Utah, Brenda and Jeff Wannlund of Arizona. She was also blessed with extended families, the Simons and the Johnstons; 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul D Wright; daughter, Tamara (Tammy) Lamb; Stepson, Terry Dee (Mike). Mary, Mom, Nana, and grandma we love you and miss you!
